Here's a little information about the UUCW and the world the UUCW exists in.
First, in this world Professional Wrestling is a legit sport. It's as real as football, hockey and the MMA. So there's no kayfabe as each wrestler is an athlete not a "sports entertainer". What you see in the UUCW ring, in terms of its wrestlers, is at face value. Heels are heels and faces are faces in and out of the ring. Gimmicks are merely extensions of the wrestlers real personality. If you see a heel in the ring, he's more then likely just as big of an asshole in everyday life.
With all that being said, a little about the UUCW itself.
As stated previously, profession wrestling is real in this world. Thusly, the action is just as real. Rather then wrestling simply being an exhibition as you know it now, it's an actual competition and the blows are real. Think of it as stiff, or shoot wrestling. Punches really connect, kicks really hurt. Now of course there are rules inside the UUCW just like in the wrestling you watch on tv. Eye gauges, biting and shots to the junk are illegal.
Now unlike most wrestling, the UUCW prides itself on it's unique take on the sport. Mixing wrestling styles from across the world into it's own. Combined with many wrestling styles, the UUCW has added some aspect's of MMA to create an exciting and continuous action filled matches. Gone are the day's of the slow, boring and dull matches.
The in ring guide lines are as follows.
No rope breaks. That's right. If you're stuck in a hold or being pinned, the ropes wont save you. If you can't get yourself free from the predicament you find yourself in, then you're screwed.
No ring out ten count. You want to fight outside the ring? Go for it! Just remember, you can still be disqualified for using weapons and you can't win outside the ring; Unless the match specifies otherwise.
You can win/lose your match by pin fall, submission, disqualification and knock out. I told you earlier, the UUCW added aspect's of MMA into professional wrestling.
Titles can change hands in the same manner you win/lose a match. Yes, even by disqualification. This prevents the champion(s) to intentionally get disqualified to save the title.
Tag Team matches will be wrestled under "Lucha" rules. If one member of a team exits or is tossed out of the ring, another member can enter the ring without a tag. This keeps the action moving and fluid.
All holds (submissions, chokes etc) must be broken by the end of a ten count. Perhaps the most controversial rule the UUCW has, but in retrospect, one that makes sense. If you cannot make your opponent quit within ten seconds of securing a hold, then you have to release it. Now, there's nothing stated that you can't immediately secure the hold again. This rule is put into place to keep the action moving. Nothing kills a great technical and fast paced match like a needlessly long hold. Anyone remember the days were it was common place to see a headlock for five minutes?
