Inks TV Deal on U-62
The CSWA announced Monday that it has inked a deal to return to the U-62 airwaves after an absence of several years. The move comes after the CSWA was dropped by the National Cable Network (NCN) following the January airing of CSWA SHOWTIME in Houston.
Following the event, NCN notified the CSWA of its intention not to renew the final year of the four-year contract, due to the content, which included challenger Eddie Mayfield being injured by a pyrotechnics misfire. The 'misfire' was quickly found to be the doing of World Champion Shane Southern and Craig Miles.
While specifics of the U-62/CSWA deal were not released, sources advised that the deal is short-term, dependent upon the CSWA's ability to deliver promised content and ratings.
