PbPro officials announce one-night return of WNW
PbPro officials issued an official press release detailing the one-night-only of their landmark television show Wednesday Night Warriors.
According to the release, the success of the MBE Cup has spiked demand in several major television outlets for a full-time return of the fed, which closed its doors unceremoniously after the departure of World Champion Promo and Unified Champion A.J. Cirrus in 2003.
Also according to the release, it will be an "Open Arena Challenge," meaning that all matches will come from challenges.
"MBE was started as an outlaw promotion, and we want to return to the unpredicatable roots that made us a household name," said Mr. Amazing!, who is the American head of MBE.
So far, the only match signed has been Webweaver and Freakshow, but it's also rumored that Maggot has issued an open challenge to MBE Cup finalist and former CSWA World Champion Dan Ryan. No word yet on if that was accepted.
Speaking of the MBE Cup, Londonboy won the Last Chance Battle Royale and will join Irish Red and Ryan in the final match. The Cup Finals will take place at a later date sometime after this special edition of WNW runs.
