Four key members of the company released

The recent two week hiatus for Total Knockout Wrestling has left the company in shambles.

Speaking from TKO’s headquarters in Philadelphia, Montiero addressed the situation to the national press.

“With a series of shock events unfolding at the recent KnockOut taping in Portland, the company has been left without key roster members” said Christian Montiero. “But nonetheless, expect to see TKO becoming much stronger in the coming weeks.”

The night in question started with an encounter between El Payaso and Staci, valet of Johnny Vivacious. Vivacious and Payaso have both rivalled each other since the first KnockOut broadcast in Toronto, where the pair fought to the backstage area after Payaso made a run-in during Vivacious’ match. Payaso made a series of inappropriate statements before being interrupted by Montiero. Once Vivcious heard of these events, he made himself scarce.

As the night progressed, Payaso met with both fellow roster member Morris Johnson and CEO David Nitro about the security of his up-coming match. The match was scheduled for Payaso and Vivacious to meet for a shot at the TKO World Title at Unleashed. It was agreed that extra security would be provided for the match, should things get out of hand.

As the fans prepared themselves for the main event however, nobody expected what was to happen.

During the High Octane Championship between Morris Johnson and James Derrick, Vivacious made his way to the ring through the crowd. Johnson, the partner of El Payaso, took no notice. As the match continued, Vivacious entered the ring bearing a claw hammer. He proceeded to assault Johnson to the point where Derrick, himself a rival of Johnson, had to intervene.

Vivacious was immediately arrested by local police. Johnson was taken to hospital, with news of his injuries released two days ago. He sustained damage to his right calf which doctors stated could not be repaired.

Through this, Montiero has been forced to release Vivacious over the incident. Vivacious remained in custody for just over a week and was acquitted from all charges. It has been rumoured that the star has been in talks with Superior Championship Wrestling with an appearance deal, although nothing has of yet been confirmed.

Montiero has also granted the release request of Morris Johnson, who is thought to be out of in-ring competition indefinitely. Another major announcement this week was the release of TKO Chief Executive Officer David Nitro, who was thought to have instigated the situation, with evidence that a conversation between him and Vivacious occurred earlier in the evening. The status of El Payaso is unknown, with no planned appearances up until TKO Unleashed.

“Although it was apparent that Vivacious was enraged over Payaso’s actions that night, his actions towards Morris Johnson were inexcusable,” Montiero continued. “Regardless of his status in TKO, to keep a man who could partake in such a sadistic act on the TKO roster would be inexcusable.”

“We are sad that Morris’ run with TKO has ended in this way. Many thought Johnson had the potential to make an impact in the company. Total Knockout Wrestling wishes him a speedy recovery, and we hope to see Morris again soon.”
