Wrestling Midwest parts ways with Primetime Central
Cleveland - In what can only be seen as ‘the next step,’ Primetime Central has pulled the plug on it’s business deal with WMW.
PTC Owner Argyle said, “Lets be realistic. [They] clearly don’t want to stay here.” Argyle, who helped WMW in numerous ways in the past said he wanted to save himself from the headaches. “I recommend[ed] a clean break … and run solo. Everybody wins.”
The problems that arose because of the outspokeness of members such as Guy Kinski, Noah Hanson, and Juvian Ramorez, caused more rifts then what was originally expected.
“We aren’t happy with the decision,” said Brad Johnson. “We would have really liked to end the relationship on a more positive note. Argyle has been a good friend to WMW, and it’s disapointing to both of us to see this happen.”
Johnson said that he had been investigating the banning of Kinski when he got the call.
“Last night,” said Johnson, “I had talked to Chris Zenith, hoping that we could put our problems [with GW] behind us. I talked to members of PTC, hoping that we could fix that situation. And, now it’s almost all for naught. But, overall, I think it was the best decision, and maybe should of happened earlier.”
WMW Spokesperson Benny Tyler met with the media earlier today.
In the press conference, Tyler said, “We can bring in whomever we want, and don’t have to feel like we need to trap down our roster to long term contracts. I think it will give us a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere. As far as the future. We can only go up. Now, we have nothing stopping us. … WMW has always been a regional fed. Our fans are in Cleveland. We’ll still be on TV as our contract with FSN does not expire for another year. Our ratings won’t change. Quite likely, more people will tune in to see what happens.”
