"Pure Honor" Division Announced

EDMONTON, AB

New Alberta Pro Wrestling recently announced the formation of a new "Pure Honor" division within NAPW. The division will be based around a "Code of Honor" to stifle cheating and promote sportsmanship.

While the honor system harkens back to a different, more noble era, the wrestling action is in all ways progressive: Showcasing a variety of styles including Lucha Libre, American high-flying, submission wrestling, traditional mat and more.

The competitors in the "Pure Honor" division will compete for the Kiniski Cup, so named for Edmonton-born professional wrestling Hall of Famer Gene Kiniski. "Canada's Greatest Athlete" held dozens of
championships all over the world and was an ambassador for Canadian wrestling as a whole. It is with pride NAPW pays tribute to a wrestling legend.

DETAILS:

-Pure Honor matches will end and finish with a handshake between competitors.
-Each competitor will receive three rope breaks. When they have used the rope breaks up, they cannot make the ropes to break a hold or submission.
-The division operates on a challenge/ranking basis. Wrestlers should challenge wrestlers that are ranked above them. Open challenges are allowed, but the Champion may refuse a challenge from all but the number one contender.

To ensure the Code Of Honor is adhered to, NAPW has taken several steps.

-Any wrestler that cheats in a Pure Honor match will be thrown out of the division and lose their ranking. To return to the Pure Honor division, a wrestler must wrestle a qualifying match according to the Code, proving worthy of returning.
-Video replay will be conducted immediately following every match to ensure no cheating occurs 'behind the referee's back.'
-Should the Pure Honor champion cheat in a match, the challenger wins the Cup and the erring wrestler will be tossed out of the division as above.

The Pure Honor Division will open up with a small round-robin tournament to determine the first Kiniski Cup champion. NAPW is pleased to showcase the pure wrestling skills of involved wrestlers in this division.

COMPLETE CONTROL takes place May 1 in Seattle, WA. In the main event, The Charitable Trust & The New Found Alliance take on Static, Ravager and two more men yet to be named in WAR GAMES.

NAPW is currently accepting applications for face/fan-favorite wrestlers (we have a mild glut of heels), particularly looking for a couple face tag teams.
