I'm Rudy Seitzer, and welcome to CSWA Grapevine,
where we track down the rumors running rampant here in the world of wrestling. As
always, I have to start with a standard disclaimer: we cannot verify any of the
rumors reported here. Some may be true, some may be outright false...but they've all
been passed to me by various sources. So don't come crying to Rudy...got it?
The talk around town seems to be about what the ANNIVERSARY
"Revelation" will be. My conclusion? Who knows. But it's got
the potential to be any number of things: Merritt's reappearance, Troy Windham's
re-signing, Mark Windham finally speaks out about what's been bugging him for years......I
guess we'll all see together.
Is there trouble in the works between Hornet and Ivy? Hornet's
'manager' hasn't seemed to be at his side recently. When asked, Hornet continues to
say she's on 'business.' And where the heck has Hornet been flying off to
anyway? Ivy certainly hasn't been using that brand new Lear jet of his.
Former co-commish Merritt seems to have jumped a plane to the Grand
Caymans or some other Caribbean paradise. I've gotten no word on what his plans
are...but you have to think that the schemer of schemers has to be plotting something to
repay Thomas.
The other talk of the town? What movie will the CSWA parody in
their opening to ANNIVERSARY? Last year it was Titanic...we've seen Jurassic Park, A
Few Good Men, Faceoff, and others. This year, will it be the box-office titan Star
Wars: Episode I, or could it be a surprise hit like Notting Hill or Tarzan? I'm
betting on the former... or a special flashback to "Men At Work."
The strain of being a CSWA Board of Directors may be showing for
Sunshine Del Payne. After everything she went through last year, I know everyone
hoped this would be an easy year for her. But with the responsibilities of running
her family business, as well as her CSWA duties, I'm afraid things may be coming to an
ugly head for the beautiful Sunshine, if she doesn't slow down first.
ULTRATOUR! The annual ULTRATITLE Tournament was the chief topic of
discussion at the latest CS Enterprises shareholder's meeting. With the 1997 woes of the
CSWA, it has been three years since "Golden Boy" Paul Pierce beat 127 others to
claim victory, as well as the UNIFIED Title. No information is available as of yet over
participating wrestling promotions, or possible #1 seeds.
That's it for now, Fans... I'll keep you posted.
