You'd think it wouldn't affect me anymore, wouldn't you? You're wrong.

The CSWA has returned from its five month lapse in a big way, seeing nearly every championship belt hotshot from one man to another.

Updated 4/13/00

The CSWA has returned from its five month lapse to see Hornet acting like the "Greatest American Hero" again, and to see Mark Vizzack give an interview that suggests that he doesn't believe him.

But the biggest news has to be what everyone has overlooked: The CSWA has returned from its five month lapse.

It's probably one of the first times you'll ever see it come back without a lot of fanfare or hoopla.... just a great, solid wrestling show. You don't see too many of those these days, do you?

There's something that weighs heavily on my mind, however.... and that's Merritt's appointment of JW Locke as his new Commisioner.

JW Locke, for those of you who don't know, was the rich-boy screwball who bought Jim Sears out of debt and turned the BTR into the MWC, only for him to sell the company to Randy Harders and Erik Zieba, and when Harders sold his shares.... Chad Dupree took over.

JW Locke is cold, calculating, and possesses no sense of right and wrong. He has no qualms about favoring those he likes and screwing those he doesn't. He's made no secret of the fact that he hates Mark Vizzack and Deacon, and that he's solidly behind Byron Blair and Eddy Love. You can bet he won't have any problems letting this bias filter down to the decisions he makes. On the competency scale, he rates somewhere between "Freakboy" and "Sticky Goo Head." On the likability scale, he's in the same company as "Lambfry" and "President Poop."

In short.... he'll fit right in.

Joey Melton has stepped out of wrestling.... the WAR GAMES match at TWS, combined with this lapse of activity, have led him to a decision that he's not as interested in an active career as he was two years ago. I think I speak for all of CSWA personnel when I wish Joey the best.... and that he was definitely one of the all- time greats in the CSWA.

Eli Flair continues to recover at home in the Bronx. He's in good spirits, as he's spending time with M, as well as an old friend of both of ours, Johnny Fizzbin. He misses you fans.... but he hopes you'll be on hand at Winter Warriors VIII, because he's already bought his front row tickets.

Keep the faith, guys.... keep the faith.
