Welcome to FWrestling.com!

For those of you who may be visiting for the first time ever, or for the first time since our server crash in July, here’s a little history.

FWrestling.com (formerly FantasyWrestling.com) started in March 1998 as a new online home for the CSWA, which has been running since March 1988. The CSWA had been previously hosted on the PRODIGY online service starting in April 1992. The league went on hiatus in August 1997 as we began work on 1Wrestling.com for Bob Ryder.

FantasyWrestling.com quickly expanded. As the PRODIGY Classic service closed, we opened “FW Central,” our online message board where leagues can host roleplay, discussion, and even cards.

The site suffered a crash in July 2001. The server we were hosted on critically failed. Unfortunately, our hosting provider did not keep a reliable backup, which caused us to have to start from scratch. Since then, as regular visitors know, we’ve put the bare bones back together to get things running again.

But now we’re back in style. The site is now hosted on a dedicated server with a built-in backup system and other safeguards. I hope you enjoy the new site and features. Thanks to all those who put time into getting the new site set up, especially Brad Thomas, who designed most of what you see here, and Sam Orchard, who designed the “What Is FW?” page.

We hope you enjoy what you see. We’ll be adding more features and filling in what’s currently empty over the weeks ahead. Feel free to give us feedback by logging into FW Central and posting a note, or dropping a line on the Ringcrew forums.
