MINNEAPOLIS, MN (AP) - Update on the potential sale of wrestling organization A1 Entertainment (A1E).

A report from a source inside the company who spoke on the condition of anonymity is that there is indeed an offer on the table to purchase A1E. Details on the exact terms of the offer are not known, but what IS known that the offer has come from an individual, not a corporation, and especially not a network.

That's great news for A1E and The Ocho, who both expect that A1E's bi-weekly flagship show "Warfare" will remain on the ESPN channel should there be a sale of the company - TV rights are not expected to be renegotiated.

The A1E Board of Directors is meeting over the offer, and we may have an answer as soon as Friday's broadcast of Warfare, but a definite timeline for the response has not been determined.

More updates as they become available.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (AP) - Update on the potential sale of wrestling organization A1 Entertainment (A1E).

On the October 12, 2007 edition of A1E's flagship show, "Warfare", it was revealed that although the initial offer to purchase A1E was voted down by the A1E Board of Directors, forces have been at work to reverse that decision.

Later on in the same broadcast, A1E Commissioner received a disconcerting phone call from a Board Member, indicating that two of the Board Members had indeed reversed their initial vote, and have now sided in favor of the sale.

A source inside A1E close to the Commissioner has indicated that more Board Members have indeed flipped their vote - three additional members have changed their stance, bringing the total known members in favor of the sale to five - half of the A1E Board of Directors.

The source also reported that a special meeting of the Board of Directors has been called for next week to further discuss the sale.

More updates as they become available.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (AP) - Update on the potential sale of wrestling organization A1 Entertainment (A1E).

The inside source on this breaking situation now reports that the sale of A1E is imminent. Last week, it was reported that half of the A1E Board of Directors had changed their stance regarding the sale of the wrestling company, causing an even split across executive lines, but we have just learned that another three Board members have apparently been persuaded to change their minds in favor of the sale, leaving only two members still opposed.

The only question that remains is exactly who is behind the sale.

A1E Commissioner Nathan Houston could not be reached for comment, but was said to be extremely disappointed. Expect to hear more from the Commissioner on Friday night's airing of Warfare, on the Ocho.

More updates as they become available.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (AP) - Merry Christmas, professional wrestling.

Going once... going twice... SOLD!!

The rumors are true. Following the flop of - or should we say buy-out of - the A1E Board of Directors, we are told that A1 Entertainment - A1E - has indeed been SOLD.

Terms of the agreement were not made available.

To cap off the transaction, we are also told that there will be a blockbuster announcement on this week's edition of A1E's Warfare, where the new owner will make an appearance and address the company.

And from what this reporter's been told, A1E isn't going to like what's going to be said.
