Match of the Night: Have to go with the main event. Very enjoyable. And while I think anyone could make a case for any of the teams winning, the right team won.

Face of the Night: IMPULSE!

Heel of the Night: CRUISE!

Moment of the Night: Duh. (Majestically, nobody really knows what that's referring to unless they've read the card.)

Open Ended Comments: PHONE CALLS! INTRIGUE! Digging Christian Light. There was a comment at the end of Rezin/Mahogany about "I thought we were done with this Stalker thing," but there was no other mention of Stalker at all in the card and it made me sad because I thought Stalker was back.

Good card. Liked how things are set for most of the titles. Especially liked how the show began and ended with some focus on the KotC. Big credit to Karl, for giving the Tag Titles the first real storyline in a while.

Won't lie... there were a few things on this card that bothered me... but I don't want to get into it at the risk of being the next Spooky Doom. At this point, I guess, it's time to start planning for the next PPV cycle.

Outside of my contributions, which were garbage, most everything here was well-written and solid. Great work, to everybody who helped out.

Straw, I think everyone would agree that you've earned the right to voice your discontent with something and not sound like Spooky Doom. You know how to do it constructively, which is one of the many differences between you.

If I didn't want honest criticism, I wouldn't post a feedback thread. :)

This is not to say that the other thing that really bothered me with this card were actually the things that I sent in. I took up Rezin vs. Rich thinking it would give me a good opportunity to cut a mic spot and set something up for the Pay Per View. But once I got to that point, I ran into a wall trying to figure out what to say... and realizing I couldn't think of anything. Still really upset at myself over wasting that opportunity...

So yeah... other than my character's involvement on this show, I thought everything else was good.

Match of the Night:
Cruise vs. Stevens vs. Impulse. Good storytelling, and great finish. The champ on commentary was also a good touch. Was really worried when I first saw this match, because I immediately felt that Cruise was an odd man out, and it also added to that feeling when the RP thread felt a bit more like a two-on-one handicap match rather than an unbiased three-way due to Impulse and Stevens' friendship and mutual respect. The way it went down, though, with Cruise finally being fed up and just spoiling the moment. Also develops a great story with Stevens being bitter and Impulse being in the awkward situation of not having earned this opportunity through wholly legitimate means. How he reacts to this -- whether he just moves on from it, or refuses to go through with the title match until he's given Sean a rematch, or whatever -- should be interesting.

Face of the Night:
Has to be Impulse

Heel of the Night:
Has to be Dirk Dickwood Presents

Moment of the Night:
DDP winning the Tag Team Titles seemed like a pretty major spot... I think, mainly, because I didn't expect it at all. Where the hell is Colin, anyway?

Open Ended Comments:
The Stalker comment was more of a reference to Rezin acting like a loose cannon rather than teasing a return. But yeah, it's misleading.... I'll try to work on my references for future matches.

I wrote the Light/Anarky match and it was a hard match to write because I was told that Light was to win because Rezin could meddle in the result, which to mean seemed like just a way to write a Light flash pin on Anarky, but then I saw Light is a giant of a man and I can't imagine a Big Dave/Sid Justice type getting a pin on a flash, so I had to bump Rezin to be able to get Light the way to win. Because my instructions were to do it that way, I had Rezin come out with Anarky, if he was not supposed to, that's my bad.

The big criticism from my own match is that they called the finisher incorrectly - I made the name change back in December (when MJ2 was still at the point where he hadn't hit it on anybody), but I guess it got missed.

At first I was thinking I might not like having a win shown as "well Tact was softened up by Boogie first" because it wouldn't make MJ2 look that great, but then I saw the severe concussion angle later in the card, and it gives him something to work with going forward. That being said, I have NO idea what the future holds for MJ2 - part of this might be my problem with how I'm writing him, but I feel like he's sort of directionless right now.

That being said, I did enjoy reading the #1 Contenders Match and the KOTC Finals very much. Kudos to everyone involved in those matches, I read those RPs and it was a really intense battle that really anyone could have won.

I hope people were ok with the match I wrote - I had Brown/Davis/Jones. Last Jones match I wrote I felt like he was buried maybe a little TOO hard, so I wanted to play up the fact that he's not a catch-as-catch-can master yet, but he's showing some improvement.

This has been fixed. The matchwriter most likely used the first bio in that thread without scrolling down. I will edit that post so that this doesn't happen again. Also, I should have caught it in my read-through, but didn't.

The show has been edited to reflect the proper finisher name, however.

MJ2, honestly, is only just now starting to break out of the pack. But that's a positive thing, not a negative one. I have to get a feel for the character and where he should be, and I'm getting that now. He's set to be involved with the TV title picture suggested in my previous post. That's been my plan since the last show.

No worries - I figured that's what happened with the finisher thing. It's not the end of the world.

And it's true - MJ2 is very much in "he's just started out" mode, and this is his first non-jobber-match win (though it was a no-show win). I'll just be very curious to see where he's going from here! The TV title stuff makes sense since there were some tensions brought up during KOTC. I'll trust the powers at be to make cool things happen!

I hate to even post here because I'm a complete and total slacker that, honestly, has only read my match so far, due to not having had a day off since last week. So I apologize for the lack of further review, but I do have a question. Am I writing my character wrong or does it just suit him better with this gimmick to be a heel?

I still want him to be a face, but just one with a vendetta. Ala Stone Cold after he was hit with the car at Survivor Series. Just looking for a little feedback of my own. Again, I apologize for the lack of more knowledge on the rest of the card.

Meant to add more feedback... getting to it now.

I'm definitely getting Shane's emotion and conviction. At this point, I figure the heel reaction was simply residual. After all, he threw Larry Tact to the wolves in the tournament at Aggression 70. It would probably take something extra to redeem himself and get the support of the fans. Otherwise, he's a reckless renegade. Since we've got a match for this show, maybe we can use the PPV as an opportunity to get that vendetta across in a way you'd like.

Actually, Jones' performance really stood out to me in this match... I thought it was sold perfectly. Brown got the win, and I felt there was even a good deal of storytelling on the part of Davis. My compliments on your fine work.

Thanks for the kind words! Matchwriting is a skill I'm trying to improve upon. Any tips/recommendations/comments are definitely appreciated, especially coming from perhaps the most epic matchwriter on FWrestling.

Now that I've finally broke a nearly 3-week writers block...

I liked this show. It had a "lead-up" show feel to it, with most events having something to do with the PPV show. Most of the matches were good. The KotC was awesome, as was the triple threat, but that's where the big focuses were going to be on this card. As a fan I am mildly disappointed that Karl Brown and Otaku cost Teddy Alexander and Sam Turner Jr. the titles, and then they don't have a grudge match at the Pay Per Views, but I understand why it's happening as a e-fed handler.

As to my match, I honestly thought that Anarky brought Rezin out to shoo him away, per what I said in my third rp ("even if [Rezin] came down of his own volition, [Anarky] wouldn't turn him away"). I even had the segment down in my head where Light has to somehow give Anarky a $100 gift card to Ruth's Chris at the next show. But aside from that stuff, I felt Light was portrayed well and was generally happy with how he was written; thanks Stanton.

Looking forward to the IC title stuff this rp period.
