Ever have a question about:
  • NFW's history from 2000-current
  • League Rules
  • The Ultratitle Seasons
  • Booking strategies
  • Old Wrestler finishers/storylines
  • Why EFG calls the fedheads OCD freaks or Evil Geniuses
  • Questions for current handlers...Or about past ones
We've got enough veterans, archivists, lurkers and NFW-ITES to possibly help you out! Credit the recent BRAWLSTRALIA NIGHT 1 feedback and JBORCHARD self-imposed 2013 Homework assignment for making me think something like this would be useful.

SO -- ASK ANY QUESTION... and ANYONE can ANSWER/DISCUSS
. We'll keep this running eternally, maybe clean it up once in awhile if things get cluttered.

After all, if you don't know where the mess hall is... how are you gonna be ready for the CODE RED!?

The storyline I'm currently back-reading through is how The Windham Clan came to be. I know that there were various factions in 2011 in the NFW, but I can't seem to find where it actually began. I'm not even sure how many there were, but peicing it together there seemed to be quite a few.

Nice idea for refreshing what is happening and keeping everyone in the loop. Appreciate the nudge in the right direction.

Before The Windham Clan formed up, the most powerful (and only, I guess) stable was Dynasty. You'll see them in the segment "Let's Make a Deal" that I listed down below. The Fallen came after the Windham Clan and eventually Stalker, leader of the Fallen (think Raven/Flock) formed an alliance of sorts with the Windham Clan. The Sons of Liberty also showed up after the Windhams and they were basically a stable formed to specifically destroy TWC.

NFW Reloaded 05 - http://nfw.e-wrestling.org/content.php?p=results&id=132#1660

Check out The Signing of Troy Windham, Invasion, and basically the rest of the show.

That's a good start point for everything Windham Clan related ... Troy actually re-debuted in NFW at Reloaded 03 when he, disguised as a random fan, attacked and beat the shit out of Cameron Cruise. If I missed anything, I imagine JN and Katz will be dropping a line on the angle. Actually, I wouldn't mind to hear a bit about the booking ideas/strategies or things that were a possibility, but never happened!

JN,

I'd love to see the Champions/Contenders list you've got for UWA, to be honest.

Also, what's the story behind Anne Mystic and Eddie? How it started, maybe a few high/low points, and then how it all ended.

From the "You didn't ask for all of this, but..." files:

Maybe Billy the Librarian can dig through this, but my aging recollection is that there were several BRAWLS where Troy Windham and a bunch of goons like JJ DeVille and August De La Rossi and some others were slowly 'invading' NFW by jumping the barricade and macing everyone, causing riots, confusion and anger. Not sure which show it started, but it was a slow buildup until Eddie had to confront the problem, which all came to a head at the "All the Presidents Men" match at SUPERCRASH III: REMEMBER THE ALAMO, where The Windham Clan faced several of Eddie's appointed knights of NFW. The stakes were HUGE! If The Widham Clan win the match, they get 50% Control of the NFW:

ALL THE PRESIDENTS MEN

President Eddie Mayfield - who was still just in President mode, and hadn't wrestled in a year, appearing as THE MYSTERY FIFTH MAN
Cameron Cruise
Dorchester Stratton - who had just turned heel and transitioned from DC Stratton and had joined the Carlton Family DYNASTY (Blaine/Malik, Calvin Carlton and Dorchester w/ Veronica Abrams Rumsfeld and BANDIT as the bodyguard)
Castor Strife
IMPULSE

WINDHAM CLAN
Dan Ryan
Troy Windham
August De La Rossi
Bobby Jack Windham
JJ DeVille

Annnnd the pot boiled over from there - as almost every one of these players has spiralled off into another NFW web.

JN,

I'd love to see the Champions/Contenders list you've got for UWA, to be honest.

Ok, that's gonna take a minute to compile. Mind you this is all 'ghost' info for story purposes, as almost all of these guys I came up with just to fill in my own storytelling/sandbox needs. I'll post it in this thread if I get some time soon.

Also, what's the story behind Anne Mystic and Eddie? How it started, maybe a few high/low points, and then how it all ended.

::pulls up a chair::

Total disclosure, if you've figured out how I do things, I like to base most of my guys against a real-world backdrop, just to fill out the characters a bit more. My guy Eddie Mayfield, is my homage to "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert, with some tweaks. As a background with Eddie (Even tho I was just talking to Katz about us going meta about 'real world' guys) that Eddie grew up as a Eddie Gilbert-esque mark, or maybe in this universe he IS Eddie Gilbert - whatever you want to think with that. But Eddie's career path is on the same trajectory. Wants to be the biggest heel ever, great booker, great storyline ideas, but he's underrated as far as the 'greats' are concerned.

Back in 1996, Eddie Mayfield set his sights on getting on the main stage and wanted to knock down the ICON of the 90's, "Mr. Magnificent" Tom Adler. Back in UWA, Anne Mystic was the fly in the ointment/Heel mastermind, and was a love interest of Adler's - even his on/off again manager/valet. Eddie stole Anne away from Adler, ala John Tatum and Missy Hyatt. So a love triangle/blood feud happened from there.

Eddie joined the AAWC (Schmid's league which was grandfathered in by another old guy who left the game early in the 90's, GLP) and formed THE INTRUDERS (version 1) With himself, Anne Mystic and Pi, Schmid's version of Syxx/XPac who he gifted to me to get Eddie over - Eddie's first minion. Pi was created for the jWo - JENKINS WORLD ORDER which was the hottest spoof stable at the time. Eddie invaded AAWC where Adler was THE GOAT, next to Doc Silver. I believe the feud was one-sided because this was during a time where Adler was hiding out and being mysterious, ala WCW Crow Sting and Eddie would show up getting heat off of Adler's name - ala ECW Sabu/Taz feud.

During all of this, Eddie and Anne were a 'thing' but she was always a manipulator/alpha bitch and Eddie and her broke up after a while. As early as the SDS (Seven Deadly Sins) angle with the Exploding Wargames Cage, Mystic resurfaced in the NFW with Avery Prosser to try and wrest control from Craig Miles, and Eddie was in the wings, waiting for his time to swoop in.

In the 'New' UWA, Miles/Sullivan/ESEN brokered a deal with Mystic and Prosser to sell/grant them co-ownership of UWA to wrap up that whole angle, (BTS NOTE: I was actually gonna run UWA while Katz ran NFW, but that never happened) Eddie and Miles were feuding which would become the "Screwjob Heard Around the World" but Mayfield wound up getting the UWA world title off of Tom Adler who 'laid down' for Eddie because of his past feelings for Anne Mystic - Anne secretly came to Adler and told him not to 'hurt' Eddie so he did the job. That was the endpoint of the Eddie/Anne story - She did him a favor and they both moved on.

Eddie has a thing for cougars. Notice the Katherine Windham tryst a little while back.

This is pretty disjointed, but there's Eddie/Anne in a nutshell.

Ever have a question about:

  • Why EFG calls the fedheads OCD freaks or Evil Geniuses

The only thing I've ever claimed is I leave half my conversations with Katz feeling like I disappointed him somehow.

Serious question!!!

Can someone fill me in on how we went from JTP to Castor because I completely missed all of that.

Yeah as World Champion. My memory is really fuzzy but I remember possibly JTP/Eddie being a big feud boiling and brewing and then I honestly can't remember what came next.

JTP was stripped of the NFW World Championship by the NFW FRONT OFFICE after not being medically cleared to defend his title over several months. This was due to a series of attacks at the hands of Dan Ryan, Dynasty and Dorchester Stratton. His severe neck injury opened the door for a 4-man top contender's tournament.

SEMIFINALS (RELOADED 8)
Impulse def. Dan Ryan
Castor Strife def. Dorchester Stratton

FINALS (RELOADED 9)
Castor Strife def. Impulse to become NFW World Heavyweight Champion

SIDENOTE: JTP did try to return to challenge Castor, but NOVA re-injured him in a double-swerve return chairshot from behind.

Was the plan always for DC Stratton to transform into Dorchester, or was it something that simply presented itself as THE SUICIDE KINGS/NEW DAY RISING v. HOLLYWOOD WRECKING CREW angle played out?

I think it presented itself. DC had been around for YEARRRRRRS and I loved the story that was happening with DC and his storyarc, but he wasn't ever going to get any further without something... else. We all thought that this little unassuming guy with a huge heart could be a HUGE heel, and I came up with Dorchester, as when I created him, I never know what DC meant, but what... what if that was his real name? GG seasoned him with the MAD MEN presence, and it went its course.

I LOVE transitioned characters, one of my faves being Barry Windham turning heel. And it makes perfect sense for DC to be where he is now, with a meanstreak a mile long.

DC's chemistry to me is:

VERSION 1 DC (King of Backyards)
Billy Kidman
Robert Smith of THE CURE
Every Backyard daredevil you've ever seen on Youtube

VERSION 2 DC (Suicide Kingz)
ECW "Tagging with Taijiri" Mikey Whipwreck
Pete Wentz from Fallout Boy

Now as Dorchester:

Heel AJ Styles
Pete Campbell from MAD MEN
Patrick Bateman from AMERICAN PSYCHO

I LOVE his nicknames.
From the 'New King of the Backyards' from 'Die Trying' Suicide King, to the "Blue Chip Stock Option" "Country Club Assassin" (GG) to the "Bryl Creem Bully" (me)... to the "Dorchester Satin" Clothing line from Jos. A Bank - how could you not love this guy?

And Katz and GG can chime in on this stuff - Most of this turns into a team effort.

That angled played out perfectly to me. Like you said, he could really only go so far as the big-hearted 'King of the Backyards'. Aligning with Calvin Carlton gave the Dynasty a front man to go along with the HWC and gave DC/Dorchester new life. Of course, the attack on Rayne, Crash 50 match against Wildstar, and all the JTP/Dorchester interaction that followed really sold him as a changed man. He's easily a Top 3 Heel in the NFW.

Putting Veronica Abrams Rumsfeld with him was a great move, too, and I like the recent turn that GG's taken with her. She's no longer this "Trophy Girlfriend" ... now she's a bit more involved, showing a devious side, and apparently turned on by Dorchester's penchant for violence.

I'm kinda bummed that the DYNASTY folded so quickly, but Cal couldn't keep the house of cards up - it's going to be interesting seeing what happens with Cal, since you shouldn't WANT to see him redeem himself (he's a heel manager - he should get pooped on, right?) but to me, Calvin Carlton is part of the spinal column of NFW and I always wanna see what's up with him.

Last year was NOT a good year for Cal (even though he is the Superfly Express's mascot - Golden Again!) with Shaniqua resurfacing and getting the belts off of the HWC, losing Ultratitle with Blaine, DYNASTY imploding, "losing" Jack Bryant to Shaniqua/DDI . . . not being involved with the Hellfire Club - who pissed in his cornflakes?!

Yeah, I am SO happy with Dorchester - he's a perfect symphony to me. That angle was perfect. Thanks for liking that! One of the biggest thing I love about NFW is that Katz/GG and I get to play in the sandbox with the rest of the kids and it's all good. It's all for the sake of the story.

Oh yeah - VAR is a masterstroke of GG's - at first I wasn't feeling her, but once we started putting obnoxiously big hats on her I fell in love. Nothing better than a High Society Deb in wrestling:)

Also watching VAR and Dorchester in disgusting PDA's is great. Dorchester finally gets the girl... but he doesn't care she's manipulating him.
