I'm kinda bummed that the DYNASTY folded so quickly, but Cal couldn't keep the house of cards up - it's going to be interesting seeing what happens with Cal, since you shouldn't WANT to see him redeem himself (he's a heel manager - he should get pooped on, right?) but to me, Calvin Carlton is part of the spinal column of NFW and I always wanna see what's up with him.

Last year was NOT a good year for Cal (even though he is the Superfly Express's mascot - Golden Again!) with Shaniqua resurfacing and getting the belts off of the HWC, losing Ultratitle with Blaine, DYNASTY imploding, "losing" Jack Bryant to Shaniqua/DDI . . . not being involved with the Hellfire Club - who pissed in his cornflakes?!

Yeah, as it stands, I think I like the Dynasty more than THC based on Calvin's involvement. I want to see him back in the fold, for sure. I've always loved Calvin - whether it be managing OSS or HWC ... he's such a little shit.

When I first tossed the idea of Calvin recruiting" JB at Katz, I admit that I thought a JB & Calvin alliance could have been a lot of fun. Obviously, JB turning him down was and still is the right move, but it's hard not to wonder. Not to mention, I had no idea (aside from knowing SOMETHING was going down) what a huge angle/stable formation that JB was tied into through his involvement with Calvin and Dorchester.

Seems like Calvin's burnt so many bridges in the NFW so where he ends up is a total mystery to me. It'll be entertaining, that's for certain.

I have and will always continue to love Carlton, it's one of those odds things where despite how odious the man is, you couldn't help but look at Brawlapalooza and utter "poor Carlton". Then you have to shout at yourself for pitying such an evil small man with his sports goods.

It'll be interesting to see the dynamic he has with da Express.

What do you guys think of Shaniqua? I'd love to know. I never hear about her.

Agreed.

Also, the Calvin and Shaniqua interaction is hilarious. The Easter (I think it was Easter) Seg with his Momma was the best.

Coupled w/ Calvin, I think she's one of the greatest manager/valet characters I've ever seen. No joke.

She was a great manager for DRS and her flipping to Malik/Malik choosing to save her from Bandit was a great moment to me. I dig the character ... that's why I really wanted to do the Shaniqua/VAR Halloween bit. As far as her managing DDI (and JB, basically), it's such an odd pairing. I think Malik and JB have a ton in common ... obviously Shaniqua and Malik have a lot in common ... JB and Shaniqua is a bit more of a mystery, but I love it. Just happy sticking it to Calvin, I reckon.

Teresa Q's handler just went AWOL like so many do. Talented writer, though - I would love to see a return.

General question for anyone who wants to answer - What one character from NFW's history would you like to see come back? What one HANDLER would you like to see?

Pretend the ideal story is waiting, who would anyone like to see?

I'm glad we got to this, because I paused when you were saying you couldn't really see Malik/JB as serious tag contenders. (Or something like that).

I see DONE DID IT, LLC as Shaniqua;

1) Sticking it to Calvin - Her main goal at first was to just come back here and put the screws to Calvin, which she has succeeded at

2) Seeing something in Malik that was being wasted with Cal - I don't see a romantic angle there, but I'll let the fans think what they want.

3) As a businesswoman, sees potential in Malik AND JB as the future of this business.

As a tagteam, they got really far, and if you boil them both down to no-nonsense asskickers, they work excitingly well together. Feuding with the DYNASTY, it made perfect sense. Going forward, I think it may be up to JB as to where this goes in the future. I always see JB as someone who doesn't ever think he needs helping, and maybe he doesn't--time will tell!

My #1 draft pick is always gonna be Schmid. Schmid with Armando Montezuma. I could work 3 years of angles off of Monty by himself.

I'll clear up as I remember the feedback thread you're talking about. I totally dig the JB/Malik connection and think they would hand teams their asses. I think I said that "JB/Malik aren't good as Number 1 Contenders" and that was based on the fact that JB was wrapped up in that Best of Five Series/Dorchester trying to murder him. In that sense, I thought Atken/Alexander were a better fit. It was more of a storyline point than how I see JB/Malik/Shaniqua working as a team.

When Katz mentioned JB/Malik possibly pairing up, I was excited. I have no clue where they're going, but, like you said, time will tell!

It's so weird that people are talking about TQ and UWA, because I put in Lucky Seven's profile that she was trained by TQ and won the UWA developmental league's women's championship. Surprise JN! LOL. If that's not cool I'll retract it, but I've always tried keeping the past alive through current projects. You all will like the BIG ASS news story I'm writing.

Also, here are the UWA 2.0 champs in order:

Javid Dones
Winston Steele
Carlos Canyeta

The US title got passed around between Shane Southern, Mike Manson, and JT Tyler, and Problem Child (Peter Windham) had the Mid-Atlantic Title as the X-Pac of Troy Windham's Frat stable. That's about all I remember of UWA. That and X-Man Michael Sparks was headed towards first ballot hall of fame. ;-)

That sounds about right. I exploded UWA because I wanted to do something different. SHOCK x HORROR! Sparks wasn't going to win anyway - but it would have/did elevate new blood. That idea worked :/

But the UWA 3.0 I would say was during the NFW/UWA Invasion, where the World belt was being passed around. I think Doc Silver wound up with it, Adler had it, Miles and Eddie had it.

UWA 4.0 is 'dark' as in that's where all the now off-camera territory stuff comes from.

There may be more UWA 'point oh's' since when I first opened it in 92 (!) it was me... than me and John Gilson helped... then I took it to PLAY BY MAIL! Then me... Your 2.0 and then Ybok helped out and then I lost my smile after the whole UWA MAY MAELSTROM implosion.

Anyway, Yeah Lucky Seven can totally be from that background - I'll fold it in to canon. Since Sully still owns his Joshi Pro league in Japan - SLICE, that makes sense. He's been trying to figure out how to open a USA Joshi league for years, but can't find enough workers that are all that skilled - there's always one or two at a clip.

Here's the logo I made for SLICE a long time ago.

You just gave me so many ideas. Expect a PM soon! I gotta show you what I'm working on with this article. It's really just cool info that is meant for character building - not just Lucky Seven, but all the new characters. I'll tell you more.

Craig Miles did hold the belt for one hot second, I forgot about that!

It was never fully written out, but I believe the idea was that on a UWA 'BACK IN BLACK' type PPV, he took Eddie's eye with a piece of glass to beat him... and left the belt on the entrance ramp. He essentially vacated it back to Avery Prosser and the city of Philadelphia, which is kinda where JN/myself were going to go with the UWA/NFW 3.0 co-universe.

Therefore, I believe the holders in order during the second season of the NFW ULTRATITLE were:

Troy Windham (full circle!)
Adler
Eddie
Craig
Vacant

You can pretty much start the 'developmental' UWA idea and legacy belt-line from that point forward.

is it NFW-Centric, or FWres related?

I'm definitely interested.

CO-WINNER CHARACTERS for me would be ARMANDO MONTEZUMA and SHANE SOUTHERN.

As for a handler...can I force Steve to write Eddy Love?

Alright. I tried to research this about 6 months ago, but there was a lot of content to sift through.

What has happened to Shamon in NFW since I've been gone. I know in the CSWA that he hooked up with Mayfield as a lackey or whatever. And that it carried over to NFW. This is where I lost track.

Also...I didn't know Mayfield was a tribute to Eddie Gilbert. I did the same things with Aaron Douglas at first and he kinda morphed into a Chris Jericho in WCW type. I even had him go by "Hot Stuff" before droppiing the nickname and just using his name only. Not that anyone cares, I just wanted to comment on that previous post.

Thats about all I can think of right now. Thanks!

Shamon was Eddie's main lackey but he went AWOL after screwing up the paperwork during the reign of Joe The Plumber and allowed JTP to get his title belt back, as Eddie was keeping it from him.

Somehow he resurfaced (not sure if it was him, or somebody in his gimmick) as 'Zombie Shamon' in THE FALLEN, with a bunch of B-Movie spoofs. I want to think it was somebody else, like 'Fake Sting' or some such.
