Adieu, New Era...

* Cameron Cruise RP for PrimeTime.

"Ya know, most people perceived afew different things this season."

(Fadein, Cameron Cruise sitting down on top of corner turnbuckle, dressed in black jeans and a black T-shirt with the company logo across the front and black Anarchy-style shades. His hair about his face as he has his head hung low. Speaking in a solemn tone, Cruise slowly puts together his words carefully.)

CRUISE: Alot of people didn't think that Mister Entertainment would take the reigns of becoming the New Era Champion the way he has, no one outside of Larry Tact thought that Fanatic would've had the season he's had, no one thought Chaos would bow out due to a condition he received that wasn't anything less than an injury inflicted by another wrestler.

And then there's also no one AT ALL that expected that I would sign my name next to a man like The First, a man that used to drive me mad enough to break down WALLS, but instead extend a hand to HELP tag into a match.

But they did, and I did. And what's transgressed since then??

Chaos, as a Yellow-bellied-Coward as he may be, did the honorable thing and got out when he could.

Fanatic, as looney as his brother Larry might be...actually managed to pull off a title shot that in retrospect has been coming for a long time now.

(Cruis shrugs)

Half the time he was led by the hand by his Daddy-dearest-figure in Tact, but nevertheless...he's got the chance of a lifetime against a man that's as wiley as they come...just not ME

but Mister Entertainment.

Now look where I'm at.

Biggest show of the year for New Era, Primetime.

I'm not defending the New Era Title.

I'm not CHALLENGING for the New Era Title.

No, for what appears to be my failures to take advantage of the title shots I received....I get punished with a "Loser Leaves Town" match.

And it's against a lump-on-the-couch-chump named Michael Montgomery.

Notice, I didn't include his apparent moniker of "Magnificent".

Quite honestly, I don't know why it is they bothered to call him that to begin with....he's been less than stellar, let alone "Magnificent".

And that's something I plan on exposing at Primetime.

You see, you're the one that doesn't belong in New Era, Monty, not me. Sure I've had more chances this season to win the New Era title than you've had dates with ACTUAL WOMEN, but the fact is that I KNOW I can win in this business.

I KNOW I can succeed in this company, whether or not it's by my own accord or by virtue of a loophole found by The First.

You simply CAN'T.

At the end of the day after all is said and done, you're going to realize and know that this is something that can no longer be avoided; your termination from New Era.

And believe me there's no better way for you to go out by driving your head through the canvas.

Over.

And over.

And over again.

Because at the end if you think about it, you're really doing New Era a service: by taking a beating from me at Primetime you can help me out by alleviating pain. Pain I have from knowing that a tool like MISTER ENTERTAINMENT...is still the Champion.

And by leaving New Era.

NOW.

That....is a REALITY CHECK that you just...won't like.

And that's just too bad.

One way to win. Not through me.

* Cameron Cruise RP#2 for PrimeTime.

"What can you say about the past season that hasn't already been said, Monty??"

(CUTTO: Cameron Cruise in front of a New Era Primetime backdrop, dressed in black jeans and a black T-shirt with the "New" part of the Company logo across the front CROSSED OUT and replaced with "CRUISE".)

CRUISE: Not a whole lot more than what I said afew days so, one can imagine.

Fanatic is facing Mister Entertainment with the title on the line, a title that belongs around MY WAIST, something that's longed to have happened for MONTHS....but I digress.

This is a matter that I cannot remedy at Primetime, but I can do so with another; a chore if you will.

By taking the TRASH, aka YOU Monty...out for good.

I said it before, I'll say it again...you don't belong here, Monty, not in New Era.

Eleven matches have been put in the books, eleven decisions made in your experience here in New Era since it returned to prominence; you've won THREE.

And two were at the beginning of LAST year and the other was against some rookie doormat who's name DOESN'T EVEN MATTER.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Ask me....and you SHOULD....there's not exactly anything "Magnificent" about that, not at all.

Which is why you have to go, Monty.

You don't belong here, and to be frank about it...you NEVER DID.

I hate doing chores; they're tedious and lackluster.

But this one is actually going to be one I'm going to enjoy.

Why??

Because when it's all over you're gonna know that it's a REALITY CHECK that you won't like...but one that you know you deserve.

Give and take

* Michael Montgomery RP for PrimeTime.

(Michael Montgomery stands in front of a PrimeTime backdrop. Sensing that this could be his last time in front of New ERA cameras, Montgomery pauses and soaks in the attention.)

MONTGOMERY: “For four months I have stepped in front of this very camera and talked about how I would revolutionize New ERA of Wrestling. Things started off well enough. I beat Chaos. But ever since then, it’s been a rollercoaster ride. Win some, lose a bunch. Same ole, same ole. As I’m sitting their busting my ass, people like Cameron Cruise and the First walk around like they own the place. They walk around demanding title shots. They walk around scheming and gloating. Cruise. You con the system for a second shot at the New ERA Championship and what happened? Your ass was handed to you again. Maybe you have a thing for embarrassment.”

(Montgomery winks.)

MONTGOMERY: “But no matter how much enjoyment I received watching you fail again in your quest to hold relevance in New ERA, it appalled me. Why do you get to sneak into a championship shot while I have to work for it? So I stormed into Marcus LaRoque’s office. I slammed my hand on his desk and demanded that you be punished.”

(Montgomery points at the camera.)

MONTGOMERY: “But no. LaRoque wouldn’t dare do that. So I came up with this brilliant idea, Cruise. Why not give LaRoque an idea that would put the asses in the seats of the DCU Center? What better way to get people interested than to have two careers on the line? I put my career in New ERA up so that you will finally get the beating you deserve. Let’s just say LaRoque loved the idea. Anytime the fans have the opportunity to see Cameron Cruise sent packing is a gold mine, he said.”

(He shrugs.)

MONTGOMERY: “And so it’s come to tonight. PrimeTime. Cameron Cruise, so content to list his big accomplishment as being the First’s stooge, will finally get a taste of what’s been coming to him… MAGNIFICENCE.”

(Michael Montgomery laughs.)

MONTGOMERY: “Pack your bags, Cruise. Boarding starts in an hour.”
