WRESTLER INFORMATION:

Name: D.C. Stark
Nicknames: The Scientist • The Second Rope Sovereign • Dr. Stark • Tony • Anthony (only used by the mis-informed) • The Good Doctor • Ebony Magazine's Man of the Year for 2006 • Our Nation's Finest • The Capital's

Height: 6'2"
Weight: 222 lbs.
Handedness: Northpaw
Looks: D.C.'s power is all in the tendons and lean muscle; he's not built like a brick wall. He has dark brown skin and curly black hair that's usually kept under some kind of control. He's completely tattooless and lacks piercings. He has an ample beard; far less than Santa Claus, but more than just chin fuzz.

Hailing From: Washington, D.C.

Disposition: Heely
Gimmick: The new black man, the Neo-Nigga. Dissatisfied with the state of black affairs, this college-educated Negro is out to show the world exactly what he can do. Towards minorities who he believes aren't progressive, he is disdainful. Towards the Man, he is aggressive. Half Malcom X, half Bill Cosby, and half extraordinary!

Ring Attire: When wrestling, he wears a pair of pleather pants designed to look like khakis and high-top wrestling shoes. To enter D.C. wears semi-thin rimmed glasses and a long white labcoat with "STARK" running down vertically in black beside the buttons on the right side. Backstage, he's dressed in a shirt-and-tie and his labcoat is buttoned up.
Theme Music: "Her Eyes are a Blue Million Miles" by Captain Beefheart
Ring Entrance: Comink!

Tactics/Style: Scientific with a particular focus on the neck. Very solid chain wrestling, adept with joint locks and simple but effective submission maneuvers; you'll never see a Gory Lock or a Paradise Lock out of him. Doesn't use the biggest array of suplexes in the world, but he's mastered the ones he uses and uses them well. He doesn't go to the top rope often, but he is extremely fond of second rope moves. He likes to chain-wrestle his opponents, interspersing it with slaps to the head, piefaces, and foot shoves. He'll bring them around, confusing them, tucking them over and slipping them under until he suddenly explodes with a big move.

Strengths: Ring awareness • Bullying tactics; works his opponent to frustration • Knowledge of counters

Weaknessess: Low resilience • Easily distracted • Mediocre speed, strength, and agility

MATCHWRITING GUIDE:

Finishing Maneuver: Your Undoing: Front-flip neckbreaker, usually done springboard-style. In a pinch, though, he can hit it from nearly anywhere, as long as his opponent is already doubled over.

Signature Maneuvers:
- Disciplinary Action: With his opponent on their face, he goes on one knee beside them. He traps their near arm between his legs and pulls back with a dragon clutch-style hold. This is his primary submission and he'll try for it as often as possible.
- D.C.'s opponent is in the corner. He charges in, leaps up high, and slaps them across their face. He lands on his knee(s) in front of them and pulls their legs out so they slide down, knocking their head on the middle and/or bottom turnbuckle. He then gets up, pulling them away from the ropes and locks in a sharpshooter/figure-four. This is his signature spot.
- Noogies, froggies, tripping, slapping, eye gouging, fake raking, toe stamping, spitting in the eyes, wedgies, snakebites, wet willies, finger bending, et cetera, et cetera. Any number of low-impact moves designed to frustrate his opponent.
- Cheating behind the referee's back (or perhaps doing a legal cheap shot), then justifying it to the booing crowd by claiming that it is from a wrestling manual authored by Lou Thesz/Harley Race/Ric Flair/Bruno Sammartino/etc. and is perfectly legal and acceptable.
- Fisherman's suplex. Often done in a throwout fashion rather than bridging.
- Stark grabs the back of his opponent's head, both of them facing the same way. Abruptly, he drops to his knee and slams them forward, bringing their ribs down hard over his knee.
- Standing sleeper, held until his opponent begins to falter, then swings into a bulldog.
- Second-rope elbow/leg/knee drop. Pulled out very often.
