Ross sighting....

I have moved the website to a different server. I'm not sure if its going to perform better, worse or the same, but it is in the same data center. It has far fewer resources than the previous machine, but it is also hosting only a handful of my personal websites, so you aren't competing for resources with someone else.

If you are getting a white screen or permission error now, you are still looking at the old one. If you are getting what you are used to seeing, then you should be on the new one.

Anything that worked before that suddenly doesn't work now, please let me know by replying here, or hitting me up on Facebook if we are connected. I've done some broad testing. Hold off reporting any longer term problems in this thread - start another one if you really want to do that.

I'll be tweaking the environment over the next few weeks until I am happy with it, so if it burps occasionally, don't panic, I'll keep an eye on it.

Known issue - bios aren't opening. It will get fixed.

I had an issue with my bio for Oscar Burns where it looks like everything shows up twice. Is that something that can be fixed?

This is really small-fry, and not important at all, but we're having trouble getting the win/loss records from our DEFIANCE Road PPV to save/update. Could you maybe take a look if you have a spare minute or two?

Server is down at the moment. It's resisting attempts to reboot it. I'm on vacation until tomorrow, away from my PC and laptop, so it may be offline until then. Sorry guys, not a good start to the new system I chose.

Up again, should be good to go.

Cause: Something I didn't do properly setting up another site that killed the BIND DNS server after a reboot.

Got the bios working again.
Had to modify the script to counter an environment change on the server that isn't straightforward to alter.

I'm not sure if there will be unintended consequences after making this change, everything "should" be okay.


However, now that I have done that, the large bodyshot script is not working, that will require some investigation too. I've run out of time today.
