The old SHOWTIME question is back: if you could choose any match for the card, what would it be? It can be a match based on the current storylines, a rematch from long ago, or a match you've always wanted to see.

Post it here.

For those of you that are new, CSWA SHOWTIME is a long-form card. Where ON TIME and PRIMETIME generally include short-form matches so we can fit more on the card, SHOWTIME is just the opposite. The number of matches is kept down (between 3 to 5) so that they can be done in an extended format.

SHOWTIME is also a 'booked' card. I set the entire lineup, where as PRIMETIME and ON TIME cards are always open for challenges.

The 'dream match' question helps give me ideas for the card. Sometimes I'll include one or two... sometimes one of your suggestions will lead me to another end. ;-)

Obviously these ALL couldn't happen, but these are some I've wanted to see for awhile now.

Eli Flair vs. Eddie Mayfield
Men of Adventure vs. Hip Hop Express
Troy Windham vs. Eddy Love
Eddie Mayfield vs. Craig Miles
Kevin Powers vs. Gabriel Poe (Dream matches, remember? <G>)
Hornet vs. Dan Ryan
GUNS vs. Tom Adler
Eli Flair vs. Shane Southern (Non- Title)
Evan Aho vs. Triple X
GUNS vs. Triple X
Eli Flair and Triple X vs. the Hip Hop Express

And the main event of my suaree...

CSWA World Heavyweight Championship Match

Mark Windham vs. JJ DeVille.

No, that's not a typo.

Hell, you can get at least ONE match outta that. ;-)

We have a lot of newer guys here or coming in (by this time), right? How about we do something cool w/ them? I'm not fond of the battle royal concept, but perhaps a one night tourney at On Time or something that will have the final round on Showtime. The fact that the match is on the "high profile" card of Showtime should provide incentive enough to the combatants. I know it motivated the world outta me to write against Eliminator w/ that "Top Contendors" matchup all those years ago.

Eli Flair vs. Kevin Powers - this has been done to death, I know, but w/ the right angle, I think it would be a fun one to watch.

Deacon/Hornet/Troy vs. the Intruders - Mr. CSWA (self titled) along w/ the Greatest Hero from the past ten years to the "hero" from a few years ago vs. The Intruders. Tell me that wouldn't rock? And it would fit right into the Intruders angle.

Stanley vs. Blade... I KNOW they'll hate that idea, but you gotta admit the nostalgia (or is that nauseau, guys? :)) would be cool.

XXX vs. Dan Ryan - yeah.

Southern vs. Plett - oh yeah.

Evan Aho vs. Eddy Love - oh BABY YEAH! Check my pulse!

I agree...New Guy Tourney!

Nathan Cross
Aelias Fierte
Michael Gettis
Lance Liezure
Kin Hiroshi
"Fearless" Jones (if he's still around)

You could do it round-robin style so no one gets completely jobbed out. WORD.

Its been quite some time since I've done one of these and although I may not be very familiar with some of the current angles, fueds, etc., I'll try my best to make my choices make sense....

I agree with Warren on the concept of putting the newer guys in some form of tournament. However, my one suggestion would be to add some of the more well known names to it. I remember when I first began here in the CSWA, I was involved in a top contenders battle royal which involved many of the rookies from my "class", as well as Mark Vizzack, Eddy Love, Steve Radder, etc. It was a great honor to be up against guys of that caliber so early, as well as providing me with major incentive to do well.

Kevin Powers vs. GUNS -- Who wouldn't want to see two of the better trash talkers in the company go at it?

Gabriel Poe vs. Deacon -- Just revisiting the whole good vs. evil thing :)

Triple X vs. Hornet -- Am I the only one who would like to see this or has it already happened?

Troy Windham vs. Mark Windham -- Brother battles never get old.

Tom Adler vs. Shane Southern -- Both of these guys are new to me, but I like what I've seen so far.

Evan Aho vs. Dan Ryan

Rob Sampson/Nate Logan vs. The Professionals

Chris Lehew vs. Eli Flair -- "The Career Ender" vs. "Total Elimination", imagine how well you could push this billing.

Mikey Plett vs. Eddy Love

Plus, I've really liked some of the suggestions for Codine thus far, especially Hornet vs. Codine, Codine/Ryan vs. The Professionals, Codine vs. Aho. I would be happy to be involved in any of these. But dare I suggest two personal "dream matches" of my own....

Kendall Codine vs. Eli Flair -- It happened once in the HEW and although I doubt Pete remembers, it was early in my career and I really enjoyed the encounter. Anglewise it may not make much sense, but I can dream can't I :).

Kendall Codine vs. Deacon -- To me personally, no one has ever countered me step for step as well as Warren did and I've looked forward to possibly having the opportunity of facing him once again.

How about
Troy/Shane/Adler vs. Intruders vs. GXW vs. Hornet/Aho/Windham in a 4 Corners Elimination Tag Match or some variation.

Hiroshi, Hardy, and Storm in a 3-way Ladders, Tables, and Chairs match

"Hiroshi, Hardy, and Storm in a 3-way Ladders, Tables, and Chairs match"

add cruise to that and you got my vote.....

that and yes, I have a 2 year old bitter taste in my mouth over Hornet screwing Cruise.

Hornet versus Cruise, straight up old school wrestling.

or Cruise/Love, same rules, :)

All the other good ones are taken.

Make it Ladders, Tables, Chairs, and stale, rockhard muffins, and then you can count Hiroshi in on that. :)

I'd like to see some women's wrestling go down actually, either singles matches or battle royale, tag team style, just anything to get the women more involved into angles.

And yes, the very lovely, very dangerous, Mercedes Devon....

....has been activated for action.

Start quivering in your little army boots.
