(FADE-IN: The inside of Cobo Hall in Detroit. Many fans are shown as several different camera shots are shown of the various signs in the arena, including: MANSON IS SATAN, GOLEM NEEDS A SHRINK, and I HAVE TO POO. CUT-TO: Matt Faley standing at mid-ring)

MATT FALEY: "Ladies and gentlemen, in our next match, coming to the ring," (CUE-UP: "Baba O'Riley" by the Who) "From right here in Detroit, weighing in at 275lbs., JON SAVAGE!! He is accompanied by Lyla!!"

(Savage gets a small pop from the locals but a lot of boos are mixed in due to the cocky promos Savage has cut. He wear red and blue trunks with a matching jacket, and Lyla follows cloesly behind, looking like a biker chick in a black leather tank top and blue jeans. Savage gets to the ring and mocks some of the fans at ringside before going in)

M.F.: "And his opponent," (CUE-UP: "Chop Suey" by System of a Down) "From Parts Unknown, weighing in at 213lbs., REDEMPTION!!"

(The fans mostly react with cheers as the mysterious Redemption walks to the ring, wearing a black body suit and black mask. Redemption simply rolls right into the ring and walks right to the middle, just staring at Savage as he and Lyla discuss something in the corner)

TONY ROSS: "Well fans, here is our next First Round match in this tournament, featuring Redemption vs. Jon Savage, and this should be a good one. Savage has been wrestling here in the Michigan area for years, but not much is known about Redemption other than he seems to be on a quest to redeem himself!"

RICK WISEMAN: "From what I can tell, he may be trying to correct a past mistake, or maybe he's trying to improve upon past failures! It's kind of hard to tell at this point, but I have to think that we may even know who this guy is! That's always a possibilty!"

T.R.: "Well, let's see how he wrestles and if we can tell if he looks familiar to us or not! Redemption is standing in the middle of the ring waiting for Savage, who seems to be stalling in the corner, wasting time talking to Lyla about something! Referee Al Marinaro is yelling at Savage to get this going and Savage tells him to hold his horses!"

R.W.: "If Savage is trying to anger Redemption by stalling, he's doing a good job of it because even under the mask I can tell he is angry!"

T.R.: "Savage finally emerges from the corner after what seemed to be a pep talk from Lyla and we are under way here! Savage jaws a bit with Redemption and slaps him right in the face or should I say mask and Redemption fights back with a chop to the chest! Another one sends Savage sprawling! Savage falls into the ropes but he's able to steady himself! Redemption tries to go in for the attack but Marinaro prevents that!"

R.W.: "Redememption is full of fire and brimstone tonight so it would probably be wise not to push him tonight with any kind of aggravating tactics!"

T.R.: "Savage charges Redemption and gets taken down with a single leg! Redemption jumps right on top and rams Savage's face into the mat a few times and pulls him up by the hair and yells something in his face! The crowd sees to be enjoying the abuse Redemption is handing out here! Redemption pulls him to his feet and slams him down but Savage holds on and cradles!! 1......2.....No!! Redemption is able to kick out and both men are back up and Redemption with a hip toss! Savage back up and he runs into a big dropkick! Savage goes flying over the top rope!"

R.W.: "It's hard to tell what style Redemption uses in the ring at this point, but from what I've seen my guess would be a high-flying technical style mixed with some possible brawling if that head-slamming off the mat was any indication!"

T.R.: "Regardless of his style, Redemption is giving Savage fits in there! Redemption is over by the ropes and Savage jumps up and guillotines him off the rope! Great move by the Michigan native! Savage rolls into the ring and starts stomping away at Redemption! Savage pulls him up and runs him face first into the turnbuckle! Savage with some shoulder thrusts but Redemption quickly jumps on the 2nd turnbuckle and performs a sunset flip!! 1.....2....Kickout!!"

R.W.: "That move came out of nowhere and I have to believe that Savage is at a disadvantage here not having any idea who is opponent is or what he can do in the ring!"

T.R.: "Savage quickly clotheslines Redemption back down to the mat and applies a side headlock! Savage is jawing with Marinaro because that is awfully close to a choke! Marinaro tells him to raise that arm away from the neck and Savage says no! Savage then turns into a full blown choke!! Marinaro wants this hold broken and Savage does so, but not without poking Redemption in the eye through the mask!"

R.W.: "Savage is over by the ropes messing with the fans and he really needs to keep his attention on his opponent! That will backfire on him in a hurry!"

T.R.: "Savage goes back to Redemption but he grabs both of Savage's legs and dumps him to the mat! He turns it into a boston crab!! He has Savage locked in, but Savage is very close sto the ropes! Savage reaches out and grabs for safety and he gets there! Redemption holds on for a few extra seconds before Marinaro administers the count! Redemption stomps Savage's back and pulls him up and hits a Russian leg sweep! What impact!"

R.W.: "Redemption seems to be targeting the back here, softening it up for further damage!"

T.R.: "I do know what his finisher is, it's called the Deliverance Frog Splash and we will see if he is able to perform that tonight! Redemption chops Savage and spins him around and hits a thunderous back suplex into a bridge!! 1.....2.....No!! Savage rolls across the ring but he can't escape Redemption's wrath! He pulls Savage up and ohhh!!! Low blow from Savage!! Savage collects himself and grabs Redemption from behind and hits an atomic drop and he follows it with a stiff clothesline to the back of the neck! Wow!! Redemption goes sprawling into the corner!"

R.W.: "Savage's low blow shortcut has given him the advantage here, and we'll see how he capitalizes on it! I'm just waiting for his valet Lyla to get involved, as she seems to be just waiting for the opportunity to start some trouble!"

T.R.: "Lyla looks like she may have been in some bar scraps in her time, and rumor has it that she met Savage after a bar brawl out in Royal Oak! So we might see how tough she is before the night is through! Savage grabs Redemption and whips him and charges him with a big knee to the chest! Wow!! That might have knocked the wind right out of Redemption and Savage covers!! 1......2.....Kickout!! Savage argues with Marinaro about a faster cadence but that seemed like a good count to me!"

R.W.: "Again, Savage needs to be more focused and not worry about arguing with fans and the referee! The referee isn't going to help you win the match!"

T.R.: "There you see Lyla shouting at Marinaro too about the count and he pretty much tells her to shut her yap and the fans laugh in response! Lyla is not happy with that comment from Marinaro! Savage with a fireman's carry takeover and he comes off the ropes with a legdrop! A cover!! 1....2....No!! Savage had the tights and Redemption was still able to kick out!! Savage is again arguing about the count and this time Redemption rolls him up!! 1......2.....Kicked out!!"

R.W.: "And that arguing almost cost him the match there!"

T.R.: "Savage is up and he walks right into a kick in the gut followed by a DDT!! Lyla is on the apron!! She's screaming at Marinaro about something and now she grabs his shirt!! Look out!! Marinaro has had enough of this! Redemption is over now to get Marinaro to make the count and Marinaro shoves Lyla off the apron!! That's one way to take care of a problem!! Redemption seems to be amused by this as Savage sneaks up from behind and clubs him in the back of the head with a forearm! Savage pushes him off the ropes and Redemption rebounds and ducks under a clothesline!! Redemption comes hurtling off on the rebound and OHHH!!! What a spear!! Redemption absolutely drilled him!!"

R.W.: "You could feel the wind from Savage losing oxygen here at ringside!! Wow!!"

T.R.: "Redemption signals that he's going up top!! He mounts the turnbuckle, leaps, and hits the Deliverance frog splash!! Forget it!! 1......2......3!! Redemption gets the win and he will advance in the tournament!!"

R.W.: "Savage made a good showing but he gets distracted too easily and he needs to focus! With Lyla's interference backfiring, it's back to square one for Savage! But Redemption will move on!"

T.R.: "There you see Redemption leaving to the cheers as Lyla checks on her man! Fans, we will back after this message on GLCW First Wave!"

(CUT-TO: A camera is following GLCW wrestler Angel Castillo in the backstage area. Castillo turns a corner and almost bumps into Sly Sterling, a manager in GLCW)

SLY STERLING: "Well look what we have here....If it isn't the mango-eatin’, gringo-beatin’ Mr. Latino Rhythm himself, El DIABLO…Angel Castillo. It's a pleaaaaaaasure…to meet you."

ANGEL CASTILLO: "And if it isn't Mr. Grease-ball McDouchebag, Sly Sterling…So nice to meet you."

S.S.: "Now, now...There's no need for insults here, Mr. Castillo...and believe me, the pleasure is ALL mine."

A.C.: "I’m glad. Something tells me from what’s going around about you...I don't want to share your kind of pleasure..."

S.S.: "My kind of pleasure, Mr. Castillo...is something you might want to look into. I mean sure, you've got game…But with a guy like me in your corner? Hah...The sky's the limit, hooooombre."

A.C.: "Let me tell you something...hombre...I can reach the sky all by myself. I don't need you to break the wind beneath my wings."

S.S.: "Be that as it may, lets just say that in this world, there are two types of people.. the workers, and those who make it work. Which side of the line do you fall, El Diablo? You stick with me, and I'll make sure it's the right side. Think it over, amigo.... We'll be in touch."

(Sterling pats Castillo on the shoulder, Castillo retreats in disgust, and Sterling walks away. Fade to commercial)
