This past weekend Southampton Guildhall played host to Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER's Open House, a night where anyone could come and join the fun. And what a night it turned out to be, several new faces arriving, a British legend made a special appearance and in a shocking finale a new GFC Champion was crowned!

And as the show got underway we were met with our first surprise of the evening as Shiek Abdul-Wahid made a return to the UK! Shiek told everyone in attendance that he was pissed about not being nominated for the 2011 FRONTIER awards and was back to put things right! Before he could get too far into his speech he was interrupted by MWA Hall of Famer, Tim Worthington! The first of our Open House matches saw Worthington dominate the returning Shiek and after only a few short minutes he locked in the Atlantic 24 for a submission victory!

Jason Reks & Cody Williams then made their FRONTIER debuts in the second of our Open House matches but the result was ruled a no contest when a masked figure interfered and flattened both men. Was this the same person responsible for the other recent attacks? The person that FRONTIER boss Hanna Fox promised would be uncovered tonight?

Jackson Rose & Robbie Stein then did battle in a real back and forth match. Stein eventually got the upper hand and gained a measure of revenge for Rose's victory over him and Hawthorne back in December.

Hawthorne was out next against a Kevin Hardaway intent on returning to the top in FRONTIER having lost the GFC title to his nemesis Alex Jones in December. Hardaway dominated much of the match and in an epic conclusion he put Josh Hawthorne away for the win.

Our main event pitted GFC Champion Alex Jones against challenger Kenchi Yamamoto. The Japanese giant dominated Jones for large periods but Jones showed he is made of tough stuff as he kept fighting his way back into the match. Jones looked set to end the match with an aerial move but slipped off the turnbuckle allowing Kenchi to capitalise and pick up the GFC Title!

After the match it became clear that Jones did not slip, he was pushed by none other than Kevin Hardaway! And when Hanna Fox made her way to ringside we all assumed it was to re-start the match. But in a shocking twist Alex Jones was outed as the mystery attacker that has been plaguing FRONTIER for months. Fox said he had until February 19th to explain himself!

With our next show less than three weeks away the card has now been unveiled and is filled with new names to Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER!

Cody Williams and Jason Reks made their first FRONTIER appearances this past weekend but their impromptu match was interrupted by a masked figure, later alleged to be Alex Jones. Jones now has to face both men in a triple threat match in Nottingham! Will Jones clear his name? Will Williams and Reks be looking for retribution? Come to Nottingham on the 19th and find out!

Another newcomer, Vicenzo Massaro, faces off against Jackson Rose. We know very little about Massaro, who seems to have signed a deal only today with FRONTIER. We’ll bring you more on him as soon as we can!

Robbie Stein’s hard work of late has earned him a match against Kevin Hardaway. Stein’s stock is rising here in FRONTIER and a win against the first ever GFC Champion could propel him to the very top. But K-Hard is a man on a mission as of late and he’ll be looking for a big win here as he hunts a second GFC Title reign!

And in our main event Kenchi Yamamoto defends his newly won GFC Heavyweight Championship against Josh Hawthorne. Hawthorne’s had an up and down start to his FRONTIER career but has done enough in the eyes of the GFC Committee to earn himself this shot!

Full Card:

Cody Williams vs. Alex Jones vs. Jason Reks

Jackson Rose vs. Vincenzo Massaro

Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER promised 2012 would be bigger and better than 2011 but now, with the announcement of the 2012 schedule, the proof is at hand. FRONTIER are doubling the number of shows in 2012!

Up until now Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER has always put on one show a month but as we aim to grow the decision has been made to move to two shows a month with effect from March. Double the fun, double the excitement! With these extra shows FRONTIER will be moving into new cities, starting with Croydon in April.

And FRONTIER have also announced some key dates for your diary. In June we head to the Isle of Wight festival, joining the likes of Noah and the Whale, Feeder, Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, Pearl Jam, The Vaccines, Bruce Springsteen and more! Our show will be on the Sunday morning (yes, morning!) and will set up the crowd nicely for the final day of the festival.

In July we return to our spiritual home, the Southampton Guildhall, for the first anniversary show. In August we head to London to be a part of the 2012 Olympics with a special show at the ExCel. And the GFC Invitational returns in October.
