So.. I'm taking Katz' 2004 FW Predictions from January ... and re-posting updated questions for the first 6 months of 2004 to see if anyone's mind has changed, as well as adding questions about things that might havent have happened yet that you expected to. So here we go:

Since you guys (and gals) are being little babies so far and not answering this, I'll be the first.

Which veteran league has risen above their current standing?

-- WFW has grown comfortably into its boots as one of, if not the best, in my opinion, league on FWCentral.

Which veteran league has disappointed so far?

-- GXW / GWE has hit the wall, which is a shame.. even though I didn't follow it very well, I only heard good things about it.

Which new league will establish itself as a top promotion?

-- I don't think any of the "newbies" have established themselves yet.

Which new league has failed to find its ground yet?

-- I see problems with all three leagues still at the moment .. but honestly its nothing big considering that they've only been open four months each.

Which wrestlers are you expecting to win World Titles in what leagues?

-- EPW: Im sure Christian Sands will get the title back, and I don't think Adam Benjamin is too far behind. NEW: No comment. NFW: Jonathan Marx IS the points leader... NWL: Dakota Smith, Maelstrom. I think that once one of them gets the title its going to be very hard to get it back out. WFW: I see title reigns for Copycat and Anarky.. others might have a shot, but those two come to mind immediately.

Which wrestlers do you feel will breakout from the midcard this year and become a force in any league?

-- John Doe, Copycat, Iron Lion, amongst others.

Which wrestlers did you expect to breakout from the midcard, but haven't made the move yet?

-- I thought Copycat would have done more by now, but maybe that's my fault hehehe.

What character developments do you intend to follow?

-- Copycat, LOVE, all of the New ERA ones.. since I like, run it or something.

What feuds are you expecting to become legendary?

-- Tact / Rabesque, Manson / Anarky, Edmunds / Copycat.

What feuds have fizzled after much anticipation?

-- Can't think of any at the moment.

What plans / angles of YOURS do you hope people will follow?

-- Hopefully the Blue Cat angle will be seen as worthwhile .. And the WFW Presidency .. and maybe some down the road that I can't reveal.

What would be some things you'd like to see happen in '04?

-- More New ERA participation.

What was the biggest surprise of all so far in '04?

-- The rotating WFW World Title belt.

What's the one match you hope happens in '04?

-- Rabesque / Tact, Manson / Anarky, Anarky / Mael II.

What's the best match that's happened so far in '04?

-- Anarky / Mael at WFW Superbowl of Wrestling, by far.

Hehehe. Okay, Sean, I'll bite. You knew you had to post at least one response before anyone else did, right?

Which veteran league has risen above their current standing?
I look up and down the WFW roster and I can't even believe how much talent there is from top to bottom. A lot of guys on the midcard could be World Champs elsewhere. NFW is also pretty active, if a bit slower.

Which veteran league has disappointed so far?
CSWA could use a few more cards out. I've heard GXW is slowing down as well. These things happen.

Which new league will establish itself as a top promotion?
NEW and NWL both seem to be coming into their own and I've heard good things. EPW puts out cards quickly, too, and that's always nice.

Which new league has failed to find its ground yet?
Hmmmmm... not sure. Don't follow the new leagues too much, but I hope to see more.

Which wrestlers are you expecting to win World Titles in what leagues?
In NEW, I still like Tact. Suicide could break out there. In NWL, Mael and Dakota have been great, and 'The Dragon' hasn't been far behind. In NFW, it's The Manson and Southern Show, though Ryan and Marx and Rabesque have all been huge down the stretch.

Which wrestlers do you feel will breakout from the midcard this year and become a force in any league?
I'm not going to say Copycat, because I'm pretty sure beating Dan Ryan is enough to take you out of the midcard. El Arco Iris should be going places if he can get some consistency going. I like Tact to move up in WFW. Adam Benjamin and John Doe have been decent as well.

Which wrestlers did you expect to breakout from the midcard, but haven't made the move yet?
Like I said, I think Copycat's hitting main event status and same with Tact. Also, Christian Sands has gone from relative unknown to a FW presence. I like Gideon, too.

What character developments do you intend to follow?
I try to follow everyone, but it's difficult. I enjoy a lot of characters. I love Felix Red, Copycat, Sean Edmunds, Jared Wells, Manson, Southern, Dan Ryan, Christian Sands, Tact, Iron Lion, Jonathan Marx... tons of great characters right now.

What feuds are you expecting to become legendary?
Manson/Southern... NFW East/NFW... Copycat/Edmunds... Dakota Smith/Maelstrom... I'll leave myself out of this, thanks.

What feuds have fizzled after much anticipation?
SDS vs. NFW North... I'd say Edmunds vs. Copycat, but I think there will be a payoff at some point...

What plans/angles of YOURS do you hope people will follow? LOVE's rise to power... Shizaki's presence in NFW along with his employer's revealing (should be real soon)... Copycat/Anarky as the most juxtaposed characters ever with every reason to hate each other...

What would be some things you'd like to see happen in '04?
Copycat and Tact as WFW World Champs. Manson goes heel again. Gideon becomes a Main Event guy. Some surprise winners in the NFW Season 1 Ultratitle Tournament.

What was the biggest surprise of all so far in '04?
Wylde wins World Title, Presidency, eventually leaves WFW. Copycat with no Title Shot yet. Marx and Ryan atop NFW North. NFW allows Manson to form East.

What's the one match you hope happens in '04?
I'll leave myself out of this again. Edmunds/Copycat. Copycat/Manson. Manson/Southern. Maelstrom/Dakota. Felix Red/Manson (I don't have to hope... just wait.)

What's the best match that's happened so far in '04?
No comment except... Paul's the man.

Which veteran league has risen above their current standing?

Based off of this year GWE started off FANTASTIC, but has slowed down since, which is surprising....EPW is getting better with every card....I like what I'm seein' in A1E as well as in every week in NFW, and as limited time I've been able to catch WFW cards, I'm impressed there as well. NEW, with the feuds going on there has been pretty good too with the cards produced.

And please forgive me if I don't say much about CSWA in hopes of staying on Merritt's good side. Lord knows he can go Vader PRETTY quickly, lol (j/k).

NWL, I haven't been able to see too much of lately, so forgive me if I fail to mention it.

Which veteran league has disappointed so far?

I'm surprised that GWE has slowed down the way it has this year. It had Promotion of the Year all over it in the beginning of the year.

Which new league will establish itself as a top promotion?

EPW is going REAL swell this year, as well as NFW and NEW.

Which new league has failed to find its ground yet?

Again, pardon me if I mention NWL in this department....

Which wrestlers are you expecting to win World Titles in what leagues?

Adam Benjamin....Shane Southern.....Sands again......Copycat/Anarky.....Rabesque.....Adler.....Hornet....Triple X (if he comes back soon enough!!)....Troy Windham

Karl Brown.....Eddie Mayfield....El Arco Iris....Im not sure, there's alot that are really impressive.

Cruise/Windham....Randalls/Cruise.....um....I dunno really, there's honestly quite alot that I've been lovin' lately.

What plans/angles of YOURS do you hope people will follow?

Anything for CSWA/EPW, lol.

Powers to get off the bottle... lol, I dunno.....too much to mention.

What was the biggest surprise of all so far in '04?

The cage falling on everyone at Allstar Week in NFW....the close knit and well done production of GWEs Women's division.....Cruise getting number one contender so soon in EPW....the ferocity of Randall's matches continuing like they are...Cirrus domination....ALOT, lol.

NFW has been on a consistent steady rise since it first started.

Which veteran league has disappointed so far?
GWE seems to have derailed from its usual track.

Don't know if they are still considered "new" however, I feel NWL, WFW, and NEW are extremely hot right now.

Which new league has failed to find its ground yet?
EPW was on fire at one point and came really close to running away with it all. It started out really strong but then floundered. It seems to be in the midst of making a strong comeback though.

Which wrestlers are you expecting to win World Titles in what leagues?
Anarky/WFW, Karl Brown/NWL, Rabesque/NFW

Which wrestlers do you feel will breakout from the midcard this year and become a force in any league?
Copycat, Karl Brown, Adam Benjiman (don't necessarily feel that they are midcarders, but rather feel that they simply haven't gotten the recognition they deserve), Christian Sands seems to be making his mark as of late as has El Arco Iris

Which wrestlers did you expect to breakout from the midcard, but haven't made the move yet?
Larry Tact, Jarod Poe, Suicide (all great, talented characters, but they can't seem to get off that rollercoaster ride they're currently on)

What character developments do you intend to follow?
Anarky (what can I say, I love his stuff), Jean Rabesque (glad to see him finally start getting the recognition he deserves), Shawn Hart (a very amusing character), Adam Benjamin and Karl Brown (both these guys show a lot of potential and promise and are on the rise) Copycat (anyone that would steal Mael's finisher and call it his own needs to be monitored, lol)

What feuds are you expecting to become legendary?
If we can ever get them together in one league again, Maelstrom/Anarky and Maelstrom/Manson..... Rabesque/Manson and Rabesque/Edmunds..... Copycat/Anarky...... Adam Benjamin/Karl Brown..... Christian Sands/Suicide

What plans/angles of YOURS do you hope people will follow?
Maelstrom finally turning full blown heel after 6+ long years of being a "dirty" face/tweener

What would be some things you'd like to see happen in '04?
1. I'd like to see Anarky, Jean Rabesque, Karl Brown, Adam Benjamin, Suicide capture world titles.
2. See Scott Malec get the FW desire back and open up another league.
3. Anarky rise above his drug addiction and turn face (it'd be very interesting to see if he can pull that off)
4. To see that little runt JC stop emulating my every move..... J/K
5. Have Shawn Hart STOP staring at wrestlers in that "peculiar" way of his....

What was the biggest surprise of all so far in '04?
Manson turning "face" in NFW

What's the one match you hope happens in '04?
Battle of egos, Manson/Anarky/Dan Ryan..... Battle of best friends, Suicide/Tact..... Battle of the reporters, Jake Shades/Rico Suave

What's the best match that's happened so far in '04?
Don't normally like to mention a match I've been involved in, however I gotta give props to Paul with his masterpiece of a match...... Maelstrom/Anarky

The league that I have really gotten into is FW Survivor, it has given me a chance to establish Jacobs outside of Marx.

Donno if it's my giant ego or my short attention span, but I only tend to pay attention to leagues I'm in. So I should prolly limit my answers to WFW and NEW...cuz outside of those I'd have no idea what I was talking about...

Which veteran league has risen above their current standing?

WFW is real good. like, nobody's bad. Even the characters people make fun of for sucking are actually very decent. It’s got a damn skippy mix of characters ‘n writing styles ‘n storylines ‘n all those kinds of things. NEW seems a little shakier, but eh. It's good too.

Which wrestlers are you expecting to win World Titles in what leagues?

WFW - Anarky, maybe Copycat, maybe Edmunds again, maybe El Arco Iris, and Felix Red. Obviously. Mwhahahahaha.

NEW - Tact's very cool. But he's already champion, so um....I donno.

Which wrestlers do you feel will breakout from the midcard this year and become a force in any league?

WFW - Y'gotta love Luster. Y'just gotta. I dig Mike Lane, cuz all the settings in Mike Lane spots make me think "Oh yeah. I was there last weekend." And Golem just came in, so he could do things. Of course, we could ALL do things, many things.

What character developments do you intend to follow?

I've been reading perdy much everyone in WFW. In NEW, I'm not sure yet. Suicide's kinda interesting. There's all kinds of mysterious sh#t happening in NEW.

What feuds are you expecting to become legendary?

WFW - Copycat/Edmunds......NEW - Rabesque/Tact

What feuds have fizzled after much anticipation?

uh...Well, I keep expecting Red vs. Iris to be this big show down, but it's always part of a tag team match or something.

What plans/angles of YOURS do you hope people will follow?

I've been getting good feedback for alot of the Felix Red spots, so that's very cool. Hopefully I can keep him out of the midcard for a respectable chunk of time. The LOVE angle seems to have gotten over as the bejesus, and that's also very cool. I've been obsessed with Kill Bill ever since I bought the DVD a couple of days ago. So I'm thinking we should restructure the whole thing, where LOVE is the deadly viper assasin squad. Red is O-Ren, Anarky is Elle, Wells is Mark Madsen's character, and Psycho is Vernita Green... My plan for MWG in NEW is to make his PPV match a gay gang bang instead of a wrestling match.

What would be some things you'd like to see happen in '04?

El Arco Iris blows up, gets backstage power or something, and starts destroying everyone...and people stop doing those picture things of their wrestlers. I find those really creepy. Not like, geeky creepy, just weird. Like, if I see a picture of Red or MWG I'm afraid there's a rip in space/time, that there's some freaky alternate dimention thing happening, and I'm about to get murdered by creatures.

What was the biggest surprise of all so far in '04?

I donno. My serotonin levels are kinda whacked. I don't get surprised very much.
