Hey folks -- hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. This is a quick note with some general update info, as well as a request for your help.

Personal Update: I'm hoping and praying that things at work settle in for me and I'll be able to devote some more time to the site. Unfortunately the last time I thought I'd have time -- the NFW Pentagram match -- I ended up running into one of the busiest times I've had at work in the last few years. I still hope to get in couple of those roleplays I had lined up against JTP in the future.

FW Update: vBulletin (our forum software) is about to release its new version 4.0. My hope is that I'll be able to replace our current content management software with the one built into vB. I'm just starting to get into researching things to see it can be used to replace all or most of what we have on the main site -- although some of that may change based on your feedback. I'll be posting more thoughts on that later looking for your help.

Getting Caught Up: I thought I'd also ask for your help with getting caught up, and use the opportunity to create some content for the main site. I haven't had a chance to catch up on my card reading, so when I check out posts like "Gut Reactions," I'm lost on a few of the names. I also noticed that many folks post that they follow one or two leagues, but don't know much about some of the others. So.... help me out with the following and I'd like to use the info to post on the main site about each league.
  1. For the league you follow the most, what's been going on (over the last month, 3 months, etc.)? What are the biggest developments, feuds, builds, etc.? Write as if you're writing to someone who doesn't know any of the league's history.
  2. What one the best/biggest current feuds going on in your league? How did it start and where does it look like it's going?
  3. Following up on the "breakout star" thread -- who are the candidates for the "next big thing" in your league?
You don't have to be a fedhead to respond, just do your best to be a 'league correspondent' and bring me up to speed. :)

1. I kinda follow all leagues, since I'm RPing all over the board right now like the lifeless pig that I am. I probably have the best handle on what's going on in NFW and EPW, though, since I'm most active in those leagues. So here goes:

NFW- Joe The Plumber vs. NFW; mainly the offices of President Eddie Mayfield. Eddie despises this new crop of wacky, toilet humor wrestlers, of which JTP is a good representative. He wants a return to more traditional champions, ones who he thinks can represent NFW a little better. Problem is, Joe's been unstoppable as of late. For a while, Eddie refused to hand the World Title over to JTP, and it wasn't until JTP ran through a gauntlet of challengers at Crash 49 that Eddie finally gave it up. NFW then put out a challenge to all comers who were interested in dethroning JTP, specifically two men who could be added to the Crash 50 Pentagram Match. EPW World Champion 'Triple X' Sean Stevens and the legendary CSWA and former Ultratitle champion Hornet answered the call, along with Felix Red and Steve Knox. The world awaits the results...

Other feuds: Castor V. Strife developed an unhealthy obsession with the recently unmasked Television Champion, Impulse, imploring him to wear the facade and BECOME the mask. It started off as harmless badgering, but progressed into all out stalking. In a tag match at Crash 49, with the help of Starshooter and a baseball bat, Castor caught Impulse in a dangerous choke hold called the Euthanasian Torture Hug. Impulse, though, refused to tap, and eventually passed out. Castor cut a promo, declaring himself the new champion of all world television, as the audience pelted him with garbage. At the upcoming pre-Crash 50 house show, the sh*t REALLY hits the fan, and Impulse is faced with the challenge of his life at Crash 50.

High Flyer is also running around with Impulse's mask on a bat, named BatPulse, continuing his war on all masked wrestlers.

In a major shock, DC Stratton turned on Wildstar, Tsunami, and his girlfriend Rayne to join Calvin Carlton Enterprises. Now going by the name Dorchester Stratton, he outted Wildstar's personal troubles, prompting Wildstar to attack him in the street. At Crash 49, Wildstar crashed the groups' in-ring tea party...chaos ensued. At Crash 50, the two settle their score in a grudge match.

CC Enterprises' alliance with President Eddie Mayfield was tested at Crash 49, when CC's tag team, the Hollywood Wrecking Crew (champions), almost come to blow with Mayfield (specifically, Blaine Hollywood).

EPW- For the past year and a half, Anthology has run roughshod over EPW. The group, comprised of Cameron Cruise, Shawn Hart, Jared Wells, Larry Tact, Copycat, and Sean Edmunds, hit their peak earlier in the year at Wrestleverse III, when Cruise retained his IC title over The First via Copycat's interference. Wells and Tact also retained the tag belts. Copycat also cut a promo over First's body, challenging the locker room and declaring Anthology as EPW's last "hope." Inner turmoil began to plague the group, as Shawn Hart left Anthology (due to him feeling pushed aside). At Russian Roulette III, Anthology hit a low point. Cameron Cruise lost his IC title to Shawn Hart, and in the aftermath, The First formed the group HOPE (a play on Copycat's promo), along with rival Layne Winters (TV champion), Shawn Hart, and Anarky. An unlikely tandem, the group formed as a convenient alliance whose goal was to rid EPW of Anthology and secure the main event for themselves. The group's four members are very self-interested, and view HOPE as a way of getting themselves over the top.

At Aggression 48, Anthology threw Cameron Cruise out of the group, and replaced him EPW World Champion Sean Stevens, who has looked unstoppable the past year. Stevens, an unlikely ally for Anthology, joined out of convenience. The First, now number one contender to Stevens' title, was surrounded by his HOPE comrades, and Stevens would need protection of his own. Conversely, Anthology needed a leader who could help them regain glory and give them the edge over HOPE.

Watch for more drama at Aggression 49 and 50...

Those were the best descriptions I could give without going into way too much detail. Stanton might be able to give you a better rundown of HOPE vs. Anthology, just as Gethard/Katz/JN could give you a better description of the NFW feuds.

2. My league is new, so follow it!

3. In EPW, it looks like Shawn Hart and The First are breaking out big...also look for Wells, Anarky, and Layne Winters (self plug) to start making more of a splash. In NFW, Impulse's star is on the rise, same with High Flyer, Steve Knox, and dare I say Castor Strife? (self plug number 2!)
