It is with great sadness that NBW is sad to report the passing of Jason Roberts, or as he was known across the globe in arena's everywhere, NBW's Keystone Champion Derecho. While the details are scarce at this time, what we do know is that the news was first broke on Tuesday evening.

As of this writing promoter Thaddeus P. Boyle was unavailable for comment, however his personal assistant Gail Diouge had this to pass along: 'While we are saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Roberts, and wish his loved ones and those that succeed him our best wishes; the show will have to continue. SLAM36 was taped August 2nd, and features Derecho in his last match in the NBW and other promotions, where he teams with Son of Malta against the tag team For The Win for the Dynasty Tag Team Cup. We highly recommend everybody tune in and show your respect one final time this Tuesday when SLAM 36 airs.'

We have also been made aware that other promotions such as j0lt will be holding a special appreciation night in his honor on Intense.

Until then, this is McKnight.
