[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-22-03 AT 00:10 AM (EST)]((FADE-IN: A topographical map of the Great Lakes is shown. A golden GLCW logo materializes over it. CUE-UP: "Are You Ready" by AC/DC. CUT-TO: A hawk's eye view of Grand Rapids, MI. CUT-TO: Downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. CUT-TO: The outside of Van Andel Arena. There's a sign out that says "GLCW Massive Assault - SOLD OUT" followed by "MICHAEL MANSON vs MAELSTROM - GLCW Heavyweight Title Match!" CUT-TO: The inside of the arena. A large shot shows fans going crazy. The lights go out and the crowd reacts. When the lights go on and the announcer welcomes them to GLCW's Massive Assault, the camera pans the crowd. CUT-TO: as we see such signs as "MANSON = TITLELESS", "BRIAN LAWLER OWNS NIKOLAI ASH", "RABESQUE WILL BREAK EDMUNDS", and "WHATS UP MOM!" . CUT-TO: Ringside as we see Tony Ross and Rick Wiseman all dressed up for the show!))

T.R.: "Welcome everyone to Great Lakes Championship Wrestling's MASSIVE ASSAULT!"

R.W.: "And we are SOLD OUT here in the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan with 12,000 screaming, excited fans!"

T.R.: "And they have a ton to be excited about Rick as the GLCW brings you Massive Assault LIVE! You know, Rick, the 12,000 people here account for the largest crowd ever to attend a GLCW event!"

R.W.: "And that's an amazing thing, Tony. I know from our outstanding lineup of matches that will take place here tonight that not one of these people will leave the arena dissatisfied!"

T.R.: "And I cannot wait for this whole thing to start to move, Rick. I mean, just look at some of the matches that we have tonight! We have that six man match, Brian Lawler will be making his GLCW debut facing the very surprising Nikolai Ash."

R.W.: "Ash who defeated Maelstrom by countout a few nights ago in Toledo, that's something most wrestlers in the GLCW can only dream about doing.."

T.R.: "The Masked Blazer and Jared Poe will hopefully come to a conclusion here tonight as both men seemed to have decided that they'll let their actions speak louder than their words."

R.W.: "Cannonball Kidd will take on 'the Lost Cause' Chris O'Neill in what should be a fine match.. The GLCW Tag Team Champions the Unholy Alliance will once again defend their titles, this time against Nick Kurtel and Xanatos."

T.R.: "And then not to mention our three huge rivalries which should determine just who is the best. First of which is Jean Rabesque taking on 'Simply Sensational' Sean Edmunds in an I Quit match."

R.W.: "This has been brewing in the GLCW for a long time now, ever since Edmunds showed up on Chi-Town Showdown. And even longer before that! Now Edmunds and Rabesque will finally see which one of the two is superior as the only way one person can win, is by the other person admitting defeat and saying 'I Quit'."

T.R.: "Television Champion the Jobber will defend his title here tonight against the person he's been talking about facing for a long time, Golem."

R.W.: "And the Jobber, who was defeated by Michael Manson in Toledo, does not want the same thing to happen against Golem, who he's been gunning for a long time."

T.R.: "And speaking of Michael Manson, the GLCW Heavyweight Champion is in the Main Event here tonight at Massive Assault as he takes on Maelstrom in a Covered Cage Match for the title!"

R.W.: "And that should be one that people remember for years to come, Tony. Both of these competitors had a lot to say to each other before tonight, and now we'll find out which of those two can actually back up what they say in the ring!"

T.R.: "All that and more tonight on GLCW Massive Assault, but let's first take a look at our non-televised matches that took place before we went on the air!"

R.W.: "Well the first match between Rychard Isaac and Jon Skieler had to be cancelled tonight, much to the dismay of the fans here, because Isaac apparently got stuck in a snowstorm and could not be here tonight."

T.R.: "Which is awful because I know a lot of fans here tonight wanted to see Jon Skieler and Rychard Isaac in action. Those two are both incredibly competitors."

R.W.: "But we did see 'Stupendous' Stephen Morgan take on Jon Savage earlier so let's take you to those clips!"

((CUT-TO: Morgan coming to ringside. CUT-TO: Savage coming to ringside. CUT-TO: The two locking up. CUT-TO: Savage going after the legs of Stephen Morgan, but Morgan just hopping over his dive. CUT-TO: Morgan taking Savage down with a backdrop suplex. CUT-TO: Morgan avoiding a Savage clothesline and hitting Savage with a dropkick on his way back. CUT-TO: Morgan whipping Savage into the corner. CUT-TO: Morgan following it up with a running elbow. CUT-TO: Jon Savage ascending the top turnbuckle, jumping off and missing Morgan with a body press. CUT-TO: Morgan with a figure four on Savage. CUT-TO: Morgan nailing Savage with a swinging neckbreaker. CUT-TO: Morgan applying his finishing maneuver, the Stupendous Death Lock, a beautifully perfected Sharpshooter. CUT-TO: Savage submitting. CUT-TO: Morgan walking down the rampway victorious.))

T.R.: "A great match put on by 'Stupendous' Stephen Morgan earlier tonight as he showed the fans that maybe it was a mistake to put him in an untelevised match!"

R.W: "I agree, Tony. I thought Morgan made Jon Savage look like he hadn't trained at all in that match."

T.R.: "That was the only action earlier, but I've gotten word that we are ready to begin …… Ladies and Gentlemen WELCOME TO GLCW MASSIVE ASSAULT!!!"

((CUT-TO: In ring with Matt Faley.))

M.F.: "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Great Lakes Championship Wrestling's MASSIVE ASSAULT!!! (crowd pops) Our first match is for one fall and has a twenty minute time limit… Introducing first…"

((CUE-UP: "Down With the Sickness" by Disturbed. Chris O'Neill walks to ringside and hops into the ring.))

M.F.: "From Scotch Plains, New Jersey, weighing in at 227lbs., 'LOST CAUSE' CHRIS O'NEILL!! And his opponent!"

((CUE-UP: "Wonderboy" by Tenacious D. Cannonball Kidd runs down to ringside and slides into the ring .. He quickly says something to Matt Faley. Faley hands him the microphone.))

CANNONBALL KIDD: "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Cannonball Kidd - a Man with a Message. I fought my way back from the brink, and now I've achieved total self-actualization. And I'm sorry to disappoint all of you fans, since you all CLEARLY need my help (crowd boos) ... but I simply couldn't, in good conscience, focus my attention on anyone other than my poor opponent, the "Lost Cause". Now look, Chris... I know you have serious issues with rage and depression. But it doesn't have to be that way! You can take the first step towards self-actualization here tonight - just accept my help and you can be on your way OUT of this downward spiral you're in! Whaddya say?"

((Cannonball Kidd extends his hand, but O'Neill simply laughs at him. Cannonball Kidd then starts to attack O'Neill for his disrespect.))

T.R.: "And Cannonball Kidd wastes not time in attacking Chris O'Neill! This is awful."

R.W.: "Kidd offered to help O'Neill, but when O'Neill scoffed, Kidd decided that he'd help him in his own way ….. by attacking him."

T.R.: "The ref calls for the bell and we are underway as Kidd continues to pound on the back of the head of O'Neill."

R.W.: "Kidd tosses O'Neill against the ropes, and connects with a dropkick right to the jaw of O'Neill … and Kidd back up as is O'Neill, O'Neill with a right hand, but Kidd ducks and hits O'Neill in the face with a savate kick. Kidd on top of O'Neill … and punches to the face."

T.R.: "O'Neill trying hard as he can to block those punches and finally he's able to push Cannonball Kidd off of him. Kidd back up and now he's yelling at the ref to tell O'Neill to stop being a baby! Chris O'Neill back up, leaning on the ropes, and here comes Cannonball Kidd!"

R.W.: "Kidd with a hook of the head …. Snap suplex! No, O'Neill held on to the ropes. O'Neill with a suplex to the outside!! No! Kidd landed on the outside of the apron. O'Neill turns around, and Kidd with a shoulder to the stomach, O'Neill hunched over.. Kidd with a sunset flip from over the top.. ONE …. TWO …. Kickout by the Lost Cause."

T.R.: "Cannonball Kidd brings O'Neill back up. Hooks him, belly to belly suplex. The Cannonball Kidd now goes to the top rope .. waits for O'Neill to get back up.. CROSS BODY … ONE …. TWO .. kickout by O'Neill at two."

R.W.: "Kidd getting some pretty quick two counts here .. O'Neill back up, Kidd comes in for another savate kick, but O'Neill blocks it and counters with a short arm clothesline. O'Neill now on top of Kidd and he's letting him have it!"

T.R.: "Chris O'Neill stops as the ref gets involved and he gets off of Cannonball Kidd. He waits for Kidd to get up. O'Neill now with a spear on Cannonball Kidd and he's back on top of him elbowing him in the face .. I think he's trying to bust him open!"

R.W.: "O'Neill now warned by the referee and he gets off. Kidd crawls to the ropes a bit stunned.. and he's up. O'Neill charges …. BIG BACK BODY DROP SENDS CHRIS O'NEILL TO THE OUTSIDE!!!"

T.R.: "Cannonball Kidd against the far ropes … O'Neill stands up …. BASEBALL SLIDE TO THE FACE OF O'NEILL! Both men are on the outside!"

R.W.: "Kidd brings O'Neill back to the inside and he gets in as well. Cannonball Kidd with some chops to the chest of O'Neill. Sends O'Neill to the ropes … ducks his head, and O'Neill connects with a DDT!!"

T.R.: "Quick cover by O'Neill… ONE … TW-no kickout by Cannonball Kidd. Now O'Neill picks up Cannonball Kidd.. sets him up for a shoulder breaker …… Kidd trying desperately to maneuver his way out of it … but he can't and O'Neill connects!"

R.W.: "Chris O'Neill now walking around the ring acting as if he just stopped a behemoth! He should really follow up on his advantage."

T.R.: "Chris O'Neill idles while he allows Cannonball Kidd to get up .. O'Neill charges in…. and KIDD MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AS O'NEILL CRASHES INTO THE TURNBUCKLE!!! O'Neill stumbles back …. GERMAN SUPLEX BY CANNONBALL KIDD!!! The bridge!!! ONE ….. TWO …… THREE!!!!"

M.F.: "The winner of the match via pinfall…. The CANNONBALL KIDDDDDDDDDDD!"

((CUE-UP: 'Wonderboy' by Tenacious D. Cannonball Kidd slides out of the ring and just smiles knowingly at the fans as he leaves ringside.))

R.W.: "I knew that Chris O'Neill shouldn't have idled.."

T.R.: "So Chris O'Neill continues his trend of being unable to follow through as he loses another match …. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have to take a short break .. but we will be right back with more from GLCW MASSIVE ASSAULT!!!"

((CUT-TO: Commercial for the next upcoming GLCW card.))
