St. Louis, MO - We're just two weeks away people! Scorched lights the PPV world on fire and last night in The Epic II arena, it was all that and more. We had a Blitzkrieg Championship match where Chris Smith would defend against his challenger Kid Chameleon - in the real world, not a video game like Wreck-It-Ralph... Wreck-It-Richie has a nice ring to it, I wonder if I can get in on that...

Oh right, also Son of Malta was in action against the debuting Patrick Gordon Jr! There was a lot more including a tag match with Drunk Tank against Twin Peaks... and something else I'm forgetting. Oh! In a massive main event we would see the Xiang Dynasty challenging the NBW World and Dynasty Tag Team Champions team of Brock Newbludd, and Hank Wright and Chris Hopper! If I forgot to mention that, I'd probably get fired! Then again... this isn't my job. So anywho, head on over and check out the stream. We'll see you in two weeks at SCORCHED III!

There were a few segment sets in this one.

The segments with Brock Newbludd, Chris Hopper, and Hank Wright were okay. The highlight of those for me was Chris hinting that he'd like a shot at Brock Newbludd's title. Mostly, it was them making sure they were all on the same page, but in three separate one-on-one visits. I liked the mention of the Drunk Tank.

Blitzkrieg Title match was good, with a couple of run-ins. I was sad to see the Rich Family have to back down, but the numbers were against them, and they were without their leader. They did the right thing. I know Keegan has felt that the Blitzkrieg Title has lost its identity as a real hardcore title. Even without the weaponry or decimated tables, the use of interference in this one helped put it back on track, in my opinion. Hardcore/EXTREME wrestling doesn't always have to be "garbage" wrestling, and I think this match showed it.

I love Kid Chameleon, by the way. And I'm a mark for the Mark. I was also a big fan of Chris Smith playing the old school heel trying to avoid the Game Genie at the beginning. Great stuff.

The Xander Napoli saga was good. He finally picked up his first recruit in Chris Smith. It'll be interesting to see how long that lasts, IF Smith can't retain at Scorched III. It was good to see Big Rick Strongbern on SLAM running his gob again. He really is great at flapping those gums. I wonder who Napoli will put against Clan Strongbern at Scorched. Either way, I'm picking the Strongberns to come out on top and win their shot at the Dynasty Tag Team Titles. I loved the Rick Roll line.

#ReviveVictory. I just wonder, though. I know we've gotten a few recent additions to the roster, but can we sustain the return of Victory?

Keith's Son of Malta segment was good. Had I seen it before, I would have written the SoM vs. PGJr match differently. It's an interesting direction for the character, though.

Omega's segments were intriguing. I would really like to see him meet Alex Reyn at some point.

I'm not entirely sure why the Alex Reyn segment had to be off-camera. It would have been an interesting one to have on TV, especially as it featured one of his sisters. Great segment this week from Shae.

The Xiang Dynasty could have really used at least one segment tonight, since the next card is the PPV. They did get a much needed win in the main event. The heel work for TXD in the beginning was marvelous. The chokeslam off the stage was the holy mackerel moment of the night, for sure.

It did feel though like the face team controlled about 60-70% of the match and made the heels their bitches until the end. I'm not sure what the actual split was. That's just how it felt to me reading it.

Still, it delivered, and I clearly wrote the third and fourth best of the night's four matches.

Looking forward to Scorched III!

Appreciated Ernie :)
Maybe have the others do the same.
But at least these threads get a lot of views...
