MATT FALEY: "Ladies and gentlemen, in our next match, coming to the ring," (CUE-UP: "The Unforgiven" by Metallica) "From Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 220lbs., BILLY MATTHEWS!!"
(The crowd cheers loudly as Matthews walks slowly to the ring, his hair hanging in front of his face, looking distracted. wearing black jean shorts)
M.F.: "And his opponent," (CUE-UP: "Better Than You" by Metallica) "From Hollywood, California, weighing in at 240lbs., "STUPENDOUS" STE{HEN MORGAN!!"
(The crowd erupts with boos as Morgan comes out, mugging with the crowd and mocking them every step of the way. He wears a very elaborate sequined light blue robe and light blue trunks. He blows a kiss at a girl at ringside but then yanks it right back and plants it on himself. He rolls into the ring, jaws with the crowd, then turns to Matthews and starts shooting his mouth off at Matthews. Matthews seems indifferent)
TONY ROSS: "Never a quiet moment when Stephen Morgan hits the scene fans, in a few short moments he managed to offend most of the people here at the XCel Energy Center in St. Paul!"
JAKE SHADES: "Well he didn't offend me! He can say whatever he wants to and 99.9% of the time he's going to be right! Morgan is a future champion here in GLCW and if you ask me he was robbed against Maelstrom! Unfortunately my good friends Manson and Anarky would not be cooperative but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles."
T.R.: "Matthews on the other hand, is the vision of solitude. He showed virtually no emotion when he came in here and I hope that he is ready for this match!"
J.S.: "What do you expect from a depressed goth loser like him? I bet any money next week he starts cross dressing again! He can be MW Grossard's #####!"
RICK WISEMAN: "Depressed goth or not, Matthews is still one of the major stars in our sport and yet another threat to the Great Lakes Title."
T.R.: "Both men approach the center of the ring and Morgan's mouth has not stopped running since he got here. Matthews doesn't seem to be affected by it which I guess is a good thing, but sooner or later Morgan is just going to grate on you."
J.S.: "Kind of like the three hours I have to spend with you two jerks!"
T.R.: "Hey you blackmailed your way into this job, Shades, and even that backfired on you! Matthews and Morgan lock up and Morgan slaps on a side headlock and wrenches on the pressure! Morgan looks out at the crowd and continues to mouth off to them, drawing a cascade of boos!"
J.S.: "Aren't these people worn out from cheering on those fluky losers, the Wild? I figured eventually they would shut up but I guess not."
T.R.: "I don't think the Wild was a fluke, Jake, they just had great chemistry and a great coach and happened to outplay their opponents until they ran into Anaheim, another cinderalla story."
J.S.: "Any team named the Ducks has no business in professional sports!"
T.R.: "Matthews pushes off and Morgan comes off the ropes with a shoulder block! Matthews goes down and Morgan comes off the ropes with a high elbow but Matthews rolls out of the way! Matthews is up quickly and hits a deep armdrag on Morgan! Morgan gets up with a wide eyed look of amazement on his face and eats a dropkick! Morgan flies out of the ring!"
R.W.: "This is where Morgan is at his best, he's going to stay out there and stall and try to frustrate Matthews and he will milk that ten count for all it's worth."
J.S.: "That is exactly what a smart veteran does, even though Morgan hasn't been around that long."
T.R.: "Morgan is out there arguing with fans at ringside and Matthews runs and dives over the ropes!! Oh my!! Morgan moved aside and Matthews just hit the railing throat first!! Holy smokes!!"
R.W.: "That really hurt Matthews, Tony, he is grasping his throat in agony and he may have crushed his trachea!"
J.S.: "His wha?"
T.R.: "His throat you nicompoop! Morgan hesitates, seemingly in shock that Matthews hurt himself so bad, and he rolls Matthews into the ring! Matthews cannot fight back because he is having a hard time breathing! Morgan drills him with his cradle piledriver and folks this is it! 1........2.........3!! I think Matthews is going to need some assistance here!"
M.F.: "Ladies and gentlemen, your winner, 'STUPENDOUS' STEPHEN MORGAN!!"
R.W.: "This is something I don't like to see but it's part of the business. The throat is a very sensitive area and any kind of injury there will end a match in a hurry. Let's hope Matthews is OK."
J.S.: "Speaking os sensitive areas, Matthews is lucky he didn't land crotch-first on that railing."
T.R.: "I'm sure that you would have enjoyed that very much, Shades, We have some trainers in there looking at Matthews, and while they take a look at him, let's show you a video package of how Larry Tact and "Rage o' Fire" Jared Wells started and built their animosity and hatred for one another!"
