MARSUPIALS OF MAYHEM d. #BROS: "I got this, bro." I'll be honest, I saw the outcome of this one coming. With the combination of the rivalry that the Marsupials are in with The Second Coming, and with neither of the Bros having previous momentum, I thought the outcome was a little predictable. But the match itself was fun to read through. I'd like to see the Bros get some momentum, because they are both pretty good athletes in my opinion, and I'd like to see them succeed. Fun match, predictable ending, with the high point being Ms. Possum unintentionally peeving BookFace, which may or may not have cost the Bros the match. (LOST CAUSE)
"Normal" John Johnson d. Steve "Axion" Jackson via DQ: As opposed to the last match, I was totally enthralled in this match. Not much to say for this one, other than it was nice to see John Johnson again. (EVERY VICTORY IS EMPTY)
The Emevlas/Go-Go set-up: I wrote this shizz-nit. It's beautiful. (LA CAUSA PERDIDA ESTABA AQUÍ)
The Second Coming d. esoteric eric: Eric should be removed from the roster at this point. 2C didn't do enough to the esoteric one in my opinion. I think she should have held on to the Fall from Grace, releasing frustrations from those Marsupials from last ST.
After the match: I'm starting to like the Marsupials. Their anarchistic mindset is something I can get behind! Those three cracks from 2C's chair might set the tone for an eventual 4-on-1 gauntlet match at the next iPPV?
The Lost Cause set-up: I. CANNOT. WAIT. There are many masked wrestlers in this company, all with their own personality. I can't wait to see just exactly WHO this Lost Cause fellow is.
"The Last Titan" Ivan Dalkichev d. El Habanero: I didn't like how El Habanero was being shoved down my throat at all. I understand that Danny Dalton is proud that he found ol' Habby, and Habby is a good athlete, but I don't want to be patronized by his appearance. I'm personally glad that the Crimson Colossus beat him so quickly. I might be the only one cheering Dalkichev at this point, but I can understand why he's being pushed. He's freaking STRONGER THAN A BULLDOZER. Literally 400 pounds of Russian muscle-wall. Though, contrary to what Nathan Fear says, I don't see Ivan losing that championship anytime soon. I don't think even Emevlas is going to take that title away from Ivan.
Overall, I did truly enjoy the show, and do look forward to Slamtrack 8, but reading back through the show, I start to see some of what I mentioned in this "review," which was the predictable ending for the first match, or The Second Coming seemingly not getting enough frustration off on esoteric eric.
Ol' auntie Emevlas is ready for Slamtrack 8, and Hell_Fighter and I should have something ready for the card come the show.
