OORP: This was supposed to go in, but was somehow overlooked.
(fade-BACK-in, to the post-match of the Presidential title-on-a-pole contest. This comes in just before the commentary going into the Wicked Sight/GUNS match.)
SB: Either way, Adler keeps the belt another day, and Lawrence Stanley got SCREWED! Personally, after Teri dumped him, he probably needed a good screwing anyway...damnit, someone get Cruise out of the ring already? I need some nachos for this next one's gonna be a doozy!
BB: Would you relax? Fans, are next match is "Wicked Sight" Mike Plett going up against GUNS for the Greensboro title, but Cameron Cruise is still in the ring, in an evident failure to stop his opponents from climbing the pole, but it looks to be that his injuries tonite have started to take a toll.
SB: Woah...I love blood, guts, and gore, but whoever the hell that is, GIMMIE SOME MORE!!
BB: You're probably not alone in that one. Making way to the ring is a woman dressed in a kimono-like robe, and has a full-hooded mask on to conceal her identity.
SB: What? Where you going? I'm over here!!
BB: I don't think she's listening Sammy, as she's entered the ring and stands just inside the ropes near the corner. Cruise, still badly hurt from the battle he just went through, is still face down.
SB: Would you blame him? He was told to prepare for a triple threat match, not four-corners!
BB: True, indeed. The woman has now begun to move forward toward Cruise, who has made it to one knee, and attempts helps him up only to be thrown off, most likely from Cruise wanting to get up by himself.
SB: But look, she won't back down either, Buckley. She's forcing him to accept help, so that he can stand back on his feet again! I knew the guy was a wuss but come on!!
BB: Fans, tension is building here as the two finally lock eyes and stand face to face. The woman is still concealed, yet the crowd is starting to buzz, Sammy and....wait...now she's leaving...NO!! Cruise has a hand on her wrist and pulls her back. He holds up one finger, and motions for Rhubarb Jones to pass him the microphone.
CRUISE: I just got done getting my ASS KICKED. Now you come out here and help me up and want to leave? Who the hell are you?? (SFX: Louder crowd reaction)
BB: I'm not too sure she wants to tell him, as she trys to leave, but Cruise isn't having it as he pulls her back a second time.
CRUISE: I got all night.
SB: Yeah, who is it? I'm tired of waiting already! Damn, (to himself) what would Eddy do in this moment?
BB: You and me both, Sammy, but they've been staring each other down for a couple minutes now....wait a second. It seems like Cruise is trying to find out who it is, and the woman says something not quite too clear for me to hear.
SB: I wish Cruise would decide Buckley, is he staying or going? Cruise has lost his patience and drops the mic and is turning to leave.
BB: Not quite yet Sammy, as now the woman has him by the arm and pulls him back in, and Cruise doesn't look too sure on how to make any of this, as he looks at her hand and back at her, before she takes a couple of steps back.
SB: Buckley, the crowd is almost deafening and I'm with them...TAKE IT OFF!!! TAKE IT OFF!!!
BB: Cruise has had enough, and has given her a choice, reveal herself or leave and she complys and it looks like....MERCEDES DEVON!! GOOD LORD!!! MERCEDES DEVON IS BACK IN THE CSWA!!!!
SB: Goody goody gumdrops! She hasn't changed abit!
BB: No she hasn't Sammy, as she's dis robed into a gorguous glittering evening gown, but I'm not sure that that matters right now, as they are still staring each other down, with the only exception is that of Cruise having a bewildered look on her face. Fans, for those that don't remember, Cruise and Mercedes were scheduled to get married at Anniversary 2000, and ultimately left him at the alter, and possibly caused Crusie to later be pre-occupied with his match with Aaron Douglas, but we haven't seen her since.
CRUISE: What are you doing here, Mercy? We were supposed to get married, and you left me. What do you want? To get back together?
SB: She's saying yes, and she's starting to tear up, and the crowd wants it as well, Buckley.
CRUISE: I don't know...let me think about this one for a minute...(Cruise sets the mic down and brings his hands out, as if to balance the situation)...I'm sorry I think I gotta use one of my lifelines on this one.
BB: Lifelines? What is this? Now Cruise is climbing the turnbuckles, mic in hand.
CRUISE: HEY SWEETWATER, TEXAS!!!! I need your help on this one? What do you think? Do you want to see Mercedes Devon as my girlfr--
SB: Mercy's got the mic, but she's cut him off and now Cruise looks as if he doesn't know what to say.
MERCEDES DEVON: HEY SWEETWATER, TEXAS!! DO YOU WANT TO SEE ME AS CAMERON CRUISE'S WIFE??!!
BB: GOOD LORD!!! MERCEDES JUST ASKED CRUISE TO MARRY HER!! CRUISE ASKED THE CROWD IF THEY WANTED TO SEE HER AS HIS BOYFRIEND AND SHE CUT HIM OFF AND POPPED THE QUESTION!!!
SB: Dear lord, I don't like the guy and could care less about him, but damnit, don't let him say no!
CRUISE: Are you asking me to marry you? Two years ago you left me at the alter without a word or a note, and I haven't seen you since, and you come back and want to try again?
BB: The crowds going wild, Sammy, and Mercedes is nodding her head with tears rolling down her face.
CRUISE: Wait a minute...(Cruise turns toward the corner and crosses his arms, leaning against the turnbuckle. SFX: Crowd: SAY YES!!! SAY YES!!)
SB: I think we're about to find out, Buckley, Cruise is facing Devon again, GUMDROPS!! The tension now is sharp as a knife!!
CRUISE: I came here tonite to compete for a belt on a pole that I never really lost, against four men in a triple threat match. Then you show up, and want to try it again. You asked me if I would marry you, and before I give you my answer, there's just something I need to know...
SB: Say wha??!!
(Cruise slowly walks over to Mercedes and is now standing centimeters from each other. He looks her dead in the eye, and kisses her ala Rick Rude, and brings her back up, and grabs the mic again.)
CRUISE: Yes.
BB: CRUISE SAID YES! CRUISE SAID YES!!! GOD ALMIGHTY CRUISE SAID YES AND WE'RE GOING TO SEE CRUISE/DEVON 2 AT BATTLE OF THE BELTS!!!
SB: Don't screw it up this time, loverboy.
BB: Would you stop??
SB: What??
