No contracted SWF Superstar or even Staff Member is safe!
Fresh off the heels of the debut of the SWF Saturday Night SIZZLER! SWF Promoter and CEO Matthew Martin made good on his word FIRING three contracted Superstars in one night!
The British Invasion, Scotty "Bloody" McAllister, and Pimp Daddy were each given their respective severence packages and told "Good luck in all your future endeavors" live in front of a national television audience. This comes as a shock to not only the men who were unceremoniously released but also to members of the SWF Board of Directors as well.
Senior Board of Director member Don Wrinkles stated the following, "Eeeeh, I didn't see it coming sonny. Then again maybe I need new glasses. My back is killing me. My arthritis medication hasn't worked in twenty years. My hearing is going bad. Hey wait, what were you disturbing me from my nap about? EEEEEhhhh..."
Ring announcer Jim Butler had this to say about the situation, "It's an unfortunate necessity. I can understand our CEO's concerns with wanting to present a more family-oriented product. Since we've moved our base of operations to Orlando, Florida and been given a new television contract I concur with Mr. Martin's difficult decision in doing everything necessary to keep our show on the air."
Fans however were not so understanding. Chad Thomas from Ocala, Florida who made the drive to see the Saturday Night Sizzler had this to say, "I don't understand it. For a lot of us this was our first time we got to see these wrestlers. We weren't really given a chance to decide whether we liked them or not. Maybe Matthew Martin should give them another chance. If they still suck then fire them."
Another fan, Missy Gallinger echoed her boyfriend's sentiment. "Yeah, the hardcore match wasn't that bad. Pimp Daddy didn't make any sense but we didn't come just to see wrestling we wanted to be entertained between matches a bit too. I don't know maybe the Prez... what's his name? Maybe he needs to bring in new talent that can do a little of both... You know, wrestle and make us laugh. I loved the opening bout. That was awesome! Let's see more WOMEN kicking butt!"
With this latest development expect to see additional changes coming within the next few weeks. Who else could be fired? Who is going to replace them? The SWF before the Saturday Night Sizzler and after the next Saturday Night Sizzler could cook up to be something completely different entirely. Thanks for tuning in!
