Team Name: The COSMONAUTS

Characters: Nova & the Hyperspace Kid

Theme Music: "California Dreamin'" (Eddie Hazel cover from Game, Dames, & Guitar Thangs)

Nova

WRESTLER INFORMATION:

Name: The Hyperspace Kid
Nicknames: The Kid

Height: 5'11"
Weight: 195 lbs.
Handedness: Left
Looks: Black as the moist soil of Planet Funkatron, with a thin, fine beard and a massive afro that deserves its own soundtrack.

Hailing from: Outer. F*ckin'. Space.

Disposition: Level-headed and funky as hell. If Nova is the erratic squeal of a guitar solo, the Kid is the pointed precision of the grooviest rhythm section in the galaxy.

Gimmick: He lives for the Funk. He'll die for the Funk. No gimmick there.

Ring Attire: A white space jumpsuit with occasionally extraordinary powers, and a pair of large goggles that give his face an almost insect-like appearance.

Ring Entrance: As of now, the Kid is Nova's right-hand man, and thusly will follow Nova's lead in this department. As Nova himself seems ill-content to approach the ring in a fashion that doesn't jeopardize his safety and/or general conventions of propriety, there's no telling how the Kid will follow.

Tactics/Style & Strengths/Weaknesses: HIGH-FLYER. The Kid is nimble and light, with gymnast-level agility and, to put it bluntly, "mad f*ckin' ups." Where he soars (+10 pun) in this area, and holds his own on the technical/striking side, he plummets like Lori Beth Denburg parachuting with a grand piano in areas of strength and general ring generalship. Ground the Kid, and you'll be able to pound the Kid.

Let me make this a lot easier to convey. In the ring, he's basically the Human Tornado.

MATCHWRITING GUIDE:

Favorite standards: Moonsault, Flying Cross-Body Block, Corkscrew Plancha, Roundhouse Kick, Jumping Elbow Strike, Flash Kick (that's right, like f*cking GUILE does), Jumping Calf Kick, Shining Wizard, Leg Drops, Spinning Clothesline, Enziguri, Dragon Screw Leg-Whip, Spinning Reverse Neckbreaker

Signature moves: (COMING SOON)

Set-up move: (COMING SOON)

Finisher: Psilocide (with opponent bent over, the Kid runs back against the ropes, comes at opponent and turns, rolling backwards over their back before coming to a sitting position on top of their head and kicking their arms out, spiking them head-first down onto the mat)

Ring Etiquette: By the books. Doubtful he'll get the team disqualified for anything. Wrestling isn't his passion, so he's not very emotional in the ring.

CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY:

The Hyperspace Kid burst onto the scene, quite literally by piloting an interstellar ATV onto the Demolition Derby course at the outset of the Western Conference playoffs last season. He rescued Nova from Craig Miles' designer hell and served as an invaluable guide through the rest of the season playoffs, helping Nova attain his goal of the ULTRATITLE Championship at the same Nova helped him, the Chairman, and an army of freedom fighters defeat a cult of sex-toy worshipping fanatics (the Dildoniites) in their quest for world domination.

"Wait, what?" >=)

After the season ended, the Kid stuck around to aid Nova in whatever capacity necessary as they entered the next phase of the Eagle Star's Long Strange Trip of a pro-wrestling career.
