(FADEIN: Black)

MERRITT: (V/O) "In the meantime, you’ve got Eddie Mayfield trying to keep me out of my own arena, Mike Randalls still trying to prove that he’s gone from hungry wolf to pretty little bird...Doesn’t look like the ‘old blood’ is faring that well, does it? Oh well, we’ll see if they can step it up as the stakes get higher..."

(CUTTO: PRIMETIME ATLANTA - NAMI/RANDALLS, the camera CUTS over the shoulders of the announcers to NEXT to a station next to CSWAVision, 10-12 feet high in the air, light equipment underneath. A bloodied Mike Randalls comes stumbling out, still handcuffed; looking like an alien his face is so red. He balances on a guardrail beneath him.)

SB: AND NOW LOOK!

(Tsunami, bloodied, also comes stumbling out, growling, barbed-wire bat in his hand.)

BB: HE’S TRYING TO KILL RANDALLS!

(Tsunami has the bat in both his hands and takes a step back to charge.)

BB: NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

(The crowd goes completely silent. Dead silent as what they see appears in slow-mo. Tsunami charges but Randalls drops down, propelling Tsunami over the railing, flying out of control, landing back-first in a sea of cables, television equipment and concrete, bat somehow falling across his chest.)

BB:…

SB:…

CROWD:… (the crowd is dead, then…) YOU KILLED HIM! YOU KILLED HIM!

BB: LOOK! NOOOO! THIS IS GOING TO KILL HIM!!!!

(Mike Randalls, still handcuffed, stands up… blood everywhere. He looks down and steps up to the railing and flips forward… landing chest first onto the barbed wire bat that is draped across Tsunami.)

CROWD: THEY’RE BOTH DEAD! THEY’RE BOTH DEAD!

BB: Medics! Medics! Get out here NOW!

(A whole crew of people flood out, including referee Ben Worthington. Randalls somehow lifts his head up and just stares at him. Worthington, completely freaked out of his mind, gets down.)

BB: RANDALLS WANTS WORTHINGTON TO COUNT! ONNNNEEE!!! TWOOOO!!! THREEE!!!! RANDALLS WANTED TO WIN THIS MATCH! AND HE JUST DID! BUT AT WHAT COST! BOTH MEN ARE OUT! BOTH MEN ARE HURT! GET THEM OUT OF HERE! GET THEM TO THE HOSPITAL!

(CUTTO: Medics getting backboards and a cop with a skeleton key fiddles with Randalls wrist, uncuffing him. The crowd is just going ape. Tsunami is on a backboard, moaning in pain. Randalls gets placed on a backboard but as he’s being rushed holds one hand up in the air in victory.)

CROWD: RAND ALLLS! RAND ALLLS!

(BLACK)

"In a world where accusations are flying in the face of unsupporting evidence, its comforting to know that the physical extertion I put forth in the ring still goes unrespected by a man I've had to work with for ten years."

(FADEIN: 'The Wolf' MIKE RANDALLS sitting atop ring turnbuckles in an empty arena. He's wearing a black 'Alias' t-shirt: tSC style, ripped blue jeans, a brown cowboy hat and shades. As the cameras focuses on 'The Wolf,' he removes his shades letting the audience catch his emerald eyes in a serious, hardened stare.)

RANDALLS: "Maybe that's why I don't care what happens to me in your federation, Chad. Maybe that's why I chose to take off the mask of the Phoenix in the Squared Circle. Its not so much that what you've said, offends me. Its the fact that your eyes are so blind to the world around you that arguing against your overexposed lack of intelligence doesn't make me a greater person, or bring me closer to the goal I've set in my LIFE, let alone my career in the CSWA - which if it ended tomorrow would no doubt shadow your beloved Hornet's, if you ask some fans of this joint. Most notably, the IMPORTANT ones."

"You don't have to like me, Chad."

"You don't have to endorse me."

"But think before you start talking about this pretty bird. Watch the last two wrestling shows in Atlanta, Georgia - whether its your telecast or the tSC PPV. There's one thing in common, there's only one thing to know. Win or lose - NOBODY wrestles in that ring as hard nor as hungry as myself."

"Your fingerprints are off this league, except for the two days you show up in the office to give Teri Melton her rectal examination and to post some 'smart' column of yours onto the wire. Maybe you think the new blood can take care of the old blood, you just remember one thing..."

"I'm as young as your new blood and I've already proven what I can do with the old blood."

"Now, Christian Sands...I'm sure, you've watched the last five minutes of this videotape from wherever you are, already convinced that my lack of attention to yourself in this matter is already an advantage in your corner."

"And I ask you for once, not to sell yourself so short. I'm not Hornet, Sands...I've finally learned not to let my ego back myself into a corner I won't be able to fight out of. I'm not Dan Ryan, therefore I won't be playing any mindgames until we get in that ring."

"I've studied you since the moment you signed that open contract, weeks ago. I'll admit that I'm intrigued by your competitive nature and how your lack of self-confidence plays against it. I know that you're big and strong, but that isn't the way you like to play the game in the ring. You have your strengths, but they aren't enough for you mentally. Therefore, your weaknesses slip in - showing themselves in your match against Hornet."

"I'm not going to tell you to expect anything epic, Sands. If you have as much in the tank as Tsunami, you've got a shot at winning. But if you've only got alot in the mouth...that doesn't mean much. Seeing as how you were unwilling to face Hornet on even ground, I now know what you'd be willing to do to win this match. Will you get help? I don't know. That's your choice, I hope you choose wisely."

"Cause you're not dealing with Hornet or Ryan, you're not dealing with 'old blood,' you're dealing with a man that will stop at nothing in that ring to make sure the world gets the fight it deserves."

"If you choose to rob that, if you choose to fight against it...understand that the stakes will raise higher, much like they did in my match against Tsunami."

"Its your risk to take, but its one I promise you won't survive. Consider that your first, last and final warning. You may find yourself asking what to expect from Mike Randalls...well, expect everything and anything..."

"Cause what you give is what you'll get out of this, Sands...and all I'm trying to get is SALVATION."

(FADEIN: Whitespace, seamless, walls and floor blending together. In an armchair in the center of the whitespace, CHRISTIAN SANDS sits with his hands folded in his lap, draped in his black trenchcoat, sweater, and shades. Nothing really special - he just stares into the camera.)

SANDS: ...You mean you're NOT Hornet?! Oh snap. I'm in trouble now!

(A smirk...)

Now if I could be serious for a moment...

Where, Mike Randalls, do you get off talking as if you know me?

So you've watched me since I signed your open contract, huh? Well, maybe that'd explain it. After all, it only takes a handful of weeks to learn everything there is to know about someone who's had, oh, two matches here in a month and a half. I don't know whether you're psychic or I'm just shallow. Oh, wait, neither. Let's try door number three: You're talking out your ass.

You may think you know me, Randalls, but the truth is that you don't know a damn thing, because whenever you think you have the answers I change not just the questions, but the entire game.

You want to talk about my strengths and weaknesses? Then why don't you do a little REAL research? Really - lack of self-confidence? What the f*ck are you talking about, you mental dwarf? If you actually bothered to study me like you CLAIMED to have done, you'd know full well that I step into everything I do with the confidence that I can prevail. It's the secret to success, Randalls, and it's shot me to the top of many promotions faster than I could've dreamed - and won me a major World Title in the process.

If you want to bring Hornet into this, fine. I confronted him on even ground and I'll concede that I miscalculated. I was expecting a brittle old codger in the twilight of his career and got something entirely different. I won't make that mistake again - not with him, and certainly not with YOU, Wolfie.

Just do me one favor.

Cease to bring up your little debacle with Tsunami, because as you have no doubt guessed I am NOT Tsunami. I can actually speak English. Furthermore, I don't need to play with weapons and tools to get one up on my opponents. I've got my own element, Randalls, and if you knew me you'd know exactly what it is rather than judging me based on one run-in victory.

There's no doubt in my mind that I can get a lot out of this match, especially given everything that I intend to put in. But it's certainly got nothing to do with salvation, because I've done nothing that requires that sort of thing.

There's only one thing I'm looking for, Randalls.

Perfection.

Look for your salvation elsewhere, Randalls, because when you step into the ring with me, the only thing you're going to find is loss. But don't worry too much. I hear losing builds character. Then again, I don't do it very much, so I'm not the expert. But you can tell me after PRIMETIME, since you'll be experiencing it firsthand.

Maybe that doesn't matter to you.

It DOES, however, matter to me.

And it's what matters to me that's really important.

(FADEIN: 'The Wolf' MIKE RANDALLS standing in the rafters of an empty arena, overlooking a tunnel entrance. He's wearing the same attire as before, his expression much the same as we last left him...meaning, there wasn't one.)

RANDALLS: "Do you have faith in yourself, Christian? I ask you that now because I want you to ask that same question in your mind, ten minutes before you walk out of the tunnel and towards the ring. Because right now, it seems we may have a disagreement on the meaning of 'faith' as much as we do with the term 'self-confidence'."

(RANDALLS looks towards the cameras, removing his sunglasses as he starts looking around the empty auditorium - only the sounds of electricity humming echoing quietly.)

"Perfection can be achieved in music, some say. The right chords playing together to form a quintessential masterpiece. It seems that I may have struck the first chord, Christian - and I only hope in the end, it helps with what you're seeking."

"I don't claim to know anyone, but I do have faith in my instincts. I can tell you that no matter how arrogantly you act in front of that camera, no matter how many boorish attempts at getting under my skin you make...it does not make you any more confident in yourself, or in that ring."

"If you wish to believe that for the last several weeks by studying yourself, I simply meant watching your last two matches and nothing else, on one level you are right...and on another, you are dangerously wrong if losing clean in the center of the ring is a great fear of yours...which, has become quite obvious already."

(RANDALLS sits down in one of the seats, in a leaned back, very relaxed manner as he looks off in the distance...)

"I know of your rise recently in the NFW, GWE and EPW most notably. I've scouted some of your matches from each federation. I've even taken the liberty of finding some of your archived libraries from the GXW and the SCW, specifically during your International Title reign."

"Now, if you're seeking perfection in this match Sands, I'd say you're starting off on the wrong foot and being left behind, quickly. You want to argue over self-confidence of all things? There's levels in sports that become more mental than physical, Sands. I don't need to know your history to understand you've earned your spot in the CSWA. I do know what you need to succeed here, though."

(RANDALLS looks towards the camera, his emerald eyes focusing towards the lens to make sure his eye contact won't waver...)

"But understand that there's a certain point where I have to stop judging you on your past, and look at the present. I'll even throw other federations out the window and concentrate on the CSWA..."

"You want me to recognize you as self-confident, Sands? Then drop the 'new blood' sh*t. There's something about getting involved with a Merritt marketing scheme that tells me you were willing to lean yourself on any crutch possible when you got in here. Hell, you could've done us all one better and let us see you beat Hornet without help or all this rhetoric created by someone else."

"But you were expecting a brittle old codger in the twilight of his career? I wouldn't feel very self-confident if I were you and my expectations were exceeded by that much and now you're dealing with the little old 'Wolfie..."

(RANDALLS cracks a smile...)

"But you won't make that mistake again? What, you'll have Autumn attack the bugger or myself before the match next time? Please enlighten us, Christian. Were you working at an '8' instead of a '10,'? Or was Hornet simply handing your ass to you...and being ALREADY afraid, you had already planned for Autumn to save yourself from becoming a pancake?"

"At some point in the match, you were really trying...right?"

"I mean c'mon...we're better than that, Christian. Give us a chance. Let me bring you the perfection you seek. I'm at least willing to take any shot you take at me."

(RANDALLS' smile fades...as he puts the sunglasses back over his eyes...)

"But listen closely. Now that you've played the card of joining the 'new blood' fray, now that you're not above dishonoring yourself and your opponent in the ring - understand that I'm ready for anything and everything myself."

"I won't underestimate you, Sands...I'll just assume that since this 'losing' fear you've got overrides your sense of honor that I should be prepared to fight more than one man, if necessary. Maybe you'll come by yourself, maybe take a shortcut some other way with an object around the ring...I don't know how low you'll be willing to stoop this time out of your lack of...trust in your ring prowess. Or can that not apply either? I'd hate to think your self-righteous nature doesn't change that definition."

"Whether or not, this Tsunami debacle interferes with our well-being...I do not know, he’s his own man and will make his own decisions. I do implore you to rewatch the match and find a moment in which I used any weapons...which you won't. I also hope you realized that it was Tsunami's choice in the end to lose in that fashion in hopes of reclaiming his identity. He was willing to go very far, as was I. I for one believe he was even able to reclaim it through that loss."

"If its perfection you seek, Sands...I only hope that if you are to lose in hopes of claiming this...that you act more honorably than how you've won in this federation, recently. I also strongly advise you not to take the methods you have taken against Hornet, for I will fight with a vengeance you've NEVER seen for robbing the fans of this 'PERFECTION' they deserve and which you have now advertised to yours truly."

"...this was all my original point, if you read between the lines correctly. You f*ck with integrity, prepare to get f*cked."

"But no matter, Christian. We'll see what faith you have when the moment arrives. We'll see if you have the confidence to stand in that ring alone against the 'Wolfie' or 'Little Bird,' whatever someone thinks up next."

"Me? I know what I can bring is more than you've ever met. If its perfection you want, I'll be willing to die giving it. That's MY perfection, Christian. That's MY Salvation."

"You f*ck with it, you'll end up worse than Tsunami. He fought by himself, remember that...cause its the ONLY thing important to ME."

(FADEIN: CHRISTIAN SANDS. Yay.)

SANDS: Mike, Mike, Mike.

That's one thing I love about you. You're so easy to predict.

Every time you open your mouth, it's another sermon about your precious f*cking salvation. I'll tell you this, Wolfie. I'm sick of hearing about it. If you want salvation, get the hell out of my business and go to f*cking church or something, because you will NOT find salvation with me. Your sanctimonious bullsh*t doesn't fly here, buddy.

Let me tell you something about me, Mike. I don't buy into all that bullsh*t. When you step into the ring with me, it's all about what matters: The match and the victory. That's why I'm so good, Mike. I don't waste my time with lofty bullsh*t ideals like salvation. I just wrestle - and I do it better than most of the people on the face of this planet, hands down, because I keep my head out of the clouds and remain focused on the important things.

You, however, are too busy running your mouth about bullsh*t to comprehend something like that. Case in point - your continuing to judge me based on my match with Hornet. Yeah, what a strategy. Judge me based on one match here in which I made a miscalculation. If you really want an indication of what I can do, Mike, go watch all those tapes you supposedly have on me. Go watch the many victories I've earned by my own merit.

But nooooo, we can't do that, can we? The oh so perfect Mikey f*cking Randalls has never made a mistake in his life, so it's okay for him to get in his digs on me for making one.

Let me tell you something, Mike. I'm not stupid. I make a point of learning from my mistakes and NOT making them again.

But let's talk about you, Mike. You're making a few mistakes of your own, especially if you think that I'm going to NEED Autumn to hand you a whipping. Obviously you haven't researched worth sh*t, because you apparently believe that I'm incapable of securing a win without having a lackey at ringside to facilitate it. Would it surprise you if I told you that I won the Empire World Title WITHOUT interference? Would it surprise you if that International Title run you harped about came WITHOUT interference? It probably would, considering how NARROW-MINDED you are. I've proven repeatedly throughout my career that I can get the job done on my own. The Hornet incident was a rare fluke, but everyone has their flukes. Even you.

If you think you're going to come closer to your little salvation by putting me down, you need to pinch yourself and wake up, because despite what you'd like to think I am NOT some punk who's going to lay down for you and your beliefs. Why? Because as always, I have something to prove. Every time I step between those ropes, I seek to prove that I am the best in this business bar none. In the past few years I've grown closer to that by leaps and bounds. That, Mike, is why I came here to the CSWA - to show the world that I am the best this world has ever known. And I am NOT about to let some sanctimonious loudmouth like you tell me that I can't accomplish my goals, because I have NEVER given a sh*t about what other people want. It's always been about me, Mike. It's always been about what's important to ME and those like Autumn who want exactly what I want.

I was on the new blood bandwagon long before Merritt ever opened his mouth, Mike - because as we both know, "new blood" in this place is anyone who hasn't been around since 1998. The sentiment was there long ago. I simply seized the opportunity to come in and do something about it.

At PRIMETIME, something WILL be done about it. I came here to prove that I'm the best, and I don't intend to forsake that.

Here's what I'm going to do, then. I'm going to take you on and I'm going to beat you. I'm then going to unzip my fly and take a big piss on your salvation. I'm then going to leave you in my dust and go on to tear down the rest of the old-timers infesting this company.

It's my destiny to be the best, Mike.

It's only a matter of time - and victory - before that destiny comes to fruition.
