Angels??? What are you smokin'??
Wait...on second thought, don't answer that.
The Anaheim Angels reaching the Series did prove interesting, but in all honesty, given the spectacular follow-ups on incentive....do you really think that they'll reach the playoffs?
As far as the Cubs Rotation goes....
PRIOR--Proved worth the money if he can stay healthy.
WOOD--So long as he doesn't get hurt, should be up there with the E.R.A. Leaders again.
MADDUX--He may be one of the oldest on the roster, but he can still show the rookies a thing or two about winning games a/or Cy Young titles.
ZAMBRANO--Maybe young, but with the Gregg Maddux School of Pitching, can do fairly well if he takes good notes.
CLEMENT--Clement has the stuff, but if he can settle down, I don't see why he can't join up with Wood and Prior.
AL EAST: BoSox
AL CENTRAL: Twins
AL WEST: Oakland
AL WILDCARD: NY Yankees
--------------
They don't call it skill for nothing folks. Just listen to Damon from the movie, "Rounders".
BoSox over Twins......This one comes down to Pitching. The Sox got plenty of it, this offseason.
Oakland over NY Yankees......Just because they don't have Giambi's or Tejada's doesn't mean it's another for the Bronx.
BoSox over Oakland in a home run hitting contest.
NL EAST: Braves
NL CENTRAL: Cubs
NL WEST: Giants
NL WILDCARD: Astros (Unless Florida or St. Louis has something to say about it.)
--------------
The AL is notorious for not having the pitching. The NL isn't.
Giants over Astros in a heartbreaker for Pettitte and Rocket-fans.
Cubs over the Braves when the Cubs cranks up the juice with the high, stinky, ugly cheese.
Cubs over the Giants unless the Giants fans can find a way to beat the Cubs kids. Even as a fan of SF, I don't see that happening this year.
World Series of Losers.
------------------------------
Chicago Cubs defeat the Boston Red Sox in five games.
Unless the Sox can ignore the curse, it's all about Pitching.
Click--Click--Boom.
