***Part 1
8:30 am in the morning on a Friday. I check my watch once more just to double check then I hear a knock on the class room door. “Come in!” I yell. Two guys with Anarchy Wrestling t-shirts written on there shirts walk throw the door carrying camera equipment. Not the ones I was expecting at the moment. “You guys are a little early don’t you think?”
“Yea we’re a little early. But we’re just trying to keep up with the owners reputation of cumming earlier then expected.”
We all chuckle at the little joke. “Go Ahead and just put the equipment over in that corner. The class starts in about 30 minutes. And just to let you know I should have a student coming a little earlier then that. We are going to go over some things before the class starts.” And just as I finish the last word of the sentence I hear another knock at the door. “Come in!” I yell once again.
This time the football jock named Josh walks in the door. Wearing khaki short and his yellow and black Towson tiger football jacket. I beckon him over to my desk with my hands only.
“Coach told me to come and see you about 30 minutes early before class started or I would be benched. So here I am.” He puts is arms out and lets them fall to his side quickly. I don’t like the tone of his voice or his disrespectful mannerisms. Just means this will be even more fun to toy around with in front of class.
“Yea. You are today’s dummy for the lesson on the Science of wrestling. There might be a few things you need to know so you don’t get hurt, and to try and get this to look good enough in front of the class.”
Josh rolls his eyes. “Get hurt. Wrestling is fake. They only way to really get hurt is if you’re wrestling outside the ring...” The camera crew over in the corner accidently cut him off by laughing. “Man look. We all know wrestling is fake and you don’t really get hurt unless you make a mistake.” Says the jock in a annoyed tone of voice.
“Take off your Jacket and your shirt.” I say calmly.
“Say what? Are you some sort of gay pervert or something.”
“No perverts here. Now you play football. At a division 3 school of all places” he looks kinda pissed that I said that but oh well. “So unless you’re scared that someone is going to laugh at your physique, take of your jacket and shirt.”
“I don’t have to do anything. I’m out of here.” He turns to walk towards the door.
“You are more then welcome to walk out that door. But just a reminder, you walk out of the class now you fail the class and will be ineligible to play football this year.” He stops right before the door. Turns around and comes back slowly. He then takes off his jacket and shirt.
“So now what.”
I smile and tell him with a little laughter in my voice. “Now I will show you how fake wrestling really is.” I keep up out of my chair and walk up right next to him.
SMACK! My hand stings a little as the knife edge chop connects directly with the center of Josh’s chest. He doubles over and falls to one knee while clutching his chest. “FUUCKKK!” He yells.

RINGRINGRINGRINGRINGRINGRINNNNNGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!
“Alright everyone in there seats now. I have a few quick announcements. First off,” I point off towards the two men in the corner from Anarchy Wrestling. “these two guests are here to film our little class today. I have word that the owner of the AW would like to use this video for perhaps some promo’s on there TV. show. So behave your selves as you wouldn’t want your parents doing something to embarrass yourself.”
I then motion my hand to the still shirtless Josh is gently rubbing the red mark on his chest. “And this fine gentleman Josh has been briefed and has willingly agreed to go ahead with today’s demonstration.”
Josh mumbles something in audible under his breath and the class laughs a little. Also as well I smile. “Come Josh, it is time we get started.”
Josh slowly and cautiously walks over and stands next to me. “Now who here thinks they know what considered to be a science in the pro wrestling world?”
I look around and I don’t see any hands go up. “Fine a small demonstration.” I grab Josh by the back of the head. As quickly as I can with my opposite hand I swing as quickly and as hard as I can just missing Josh’s chin and then smacking just above my bicep. Josh snaps his head back perfectly as if he just took a huge shot to the face. The contact of hand on flesh creates such a crack that a few of the females in the class.
Together me and Josh turn to face the class and both smile together. “So after seeing that little demonstration, who can tell me what kind of science was just involved there?”
Again I see now hands go up. I wait a few more seconds and then finally I see a hand go up. A slim looking guy with messy hair. “Would it be the science of Psychology?”
A laugh a little to myself. “Yes. Yes it would be the science of Psychology. Although some might not see it as a science. Now it’s not the psychology most people think of. When most people think of psychology they think it’s all about interpreting dreams, and people’s reactions to certain situations. However in wrestling, we use the other side of getting people to believe in what it is we are doing.”
I tap Josh on the shoulder to let him know he is done for now. As I do this I see another hand go up. “Yes.” I say.
“Would that be considered a type of brainwashing?”
“No not really. As a professional wrestler, mostly what you are doing is pretty much putting on a show. You are trying to trick the persons mind to believe what you are doing is real. Like watching a movie as if you are right there and not through a boob tube. Now there are things that are real in world of wrestling. But you are taught in school on how to do certain maneuvers in a way to help keep yourself injured.”
Another hand goes up. This time is a cute little blonde. She has such bright blue eyes I can see them from across the room. “Are the moves ever exaggerated?”
“HA. Just about every move you ever see on a wrestling show are exaggerated. It is what is called in the business as selling. And even some tend to; believe it or not; exaggerate moves more then need be, which can either make them look bad or just down right a clown. Now do we have any more questions around here?”

**** Part 3
Class is over and I’m sitting at my desk. The camera is on and I can tell with both the white light and the red light on the camera. A guy standing next to the camera man is silently counting with his fingers. 5. 4. 3. 2. And instead of one he points in my direction. Which means I should go. For a few seconds I stare at the camera lens and fold my hands in front of my chin.
“Now I know coming up soon at All night Action 3 I get a match right before the main event. A far cry better then the dark match I was assigned at the previous show. Hell, One thing to work into my advantage is the fact that my opponent didn’t even show up. And of course Alex Caine being Alex Caine, there was no one around to take his place.”
I wave my hand around in a small circle. “But then again the same thing could give you, Vinny, and advantage as well. See, I haven’t stepped into a wrestling ring for over a year now. Yea I’ve had a few foray’s here and there smaller independent shows. But none of it was steady work and training. So I’m pretty much rusty coming into the match. “
I lick my lips, look away from the camera and rub my chin as I look back into it. “Come All night Action 3, I get to wrestle in match that will actually mean something more then just a win or a loss or perhaps even a draw. It starts off a journey for me towards what could very be my first title belt in say, oh 4 years now. So I’m sorry to say, no matter how much ring rust I have, I’m going all out and you have nothing , and I mean nothing of a chance of putting my shoulders to that mat and get a count of three or any chance of me submitting to you. The only chance you have of me being pinned is if you knock me out cold. And with weapons not being allowed. I don’t think you are capable of doing that. And if you do, well I’ll win anyway because of the use of a weapon.”
I sit back in my chair and smile as eviley as I possibly can. “You know, right now, no matter what I say it isn’t going to mean didly squat. But I figure I would be the first one to fire the first shot. Maybe a warning shot across your bow. But any who, I look forward to hearing from you. And please, because I really hate it and it pisses me off when people do, don’t keep me waiting.”
