Is This It: III
Tired

..:: I don’t know why I agreed to do this. I don’t know why I’m even here. A few of my ‘friends’ called me up and wanted me to go to a strip club with them. They say since I haven’t gotten pussy in a few months I need to get some good action. I really don’t need it. ::..

..:: I’m just not into strip clubs like I used to be. ::..

..:: I guess I’m here because I need a break. I’ve been at Samantha’s side for months, except for the traveling, and I suppose I needed the fresh air. Maybe Deka’s words weren’t all utter bullshit. Hell, I don’t know if the smell of cigar smoke, beer, and sex is the kind of air I need but it’s something. ::..

..:: Right? ::..

“Aw man, you’re gonna love this. The three of us just relaxing and getting lap dances. You haven’t had one of those in a while, have you?”

Alex asks me from the back seat. I shrug my shoulders and take another puff from my cigarette.

“Not since I’ve been married, man. What’s that been… two years?”

“Two years too long!”

He says and the guys laugh. Why do I associate myself with these people? We pull into the parking lot of Cannonball Cabaret and the guys smile. They hop out of the car, already tipsy, and make their way into the strip club. I walk slowly behind them and finish my cigarette. I step on it on the pavement and put my hands in my pocket.

“You comin’ man?”

Eric asks me and I shake my head.

“I’ll be in in a second man. I just need to finish my cigarette”

I say knowing I just finished a cigarette and he shrugs his shoulders and walks into the club with the other two. I pull out my pack of Newports and take another cigarette as I see a stripper leaning against the wall. She pulls her black jacket close to her and shivers. She tries to light her cigarette but her lighter seems to be out. I walk up to her and open my lighter and put a flame in front of her.

“Need a light?”

“Thanks”

She says and inhales and blows the smoke out in a beautiful stream. I stand next to her and she seems to be comfortable with it. Her low black shorts covers her barely.

“You look really cold”

I say and she snickers.

“I am cold. I have to wear this ridiculous outfit and no top. I mean, look at my nipples”

She says and opens up her jacket and two large breasts with two hard nipples staring me in the face. If I was the old me, I’d make a move. Now, I’m married and about to be a father. I don’t need to ruin that.

“They look like they can cut glass”

I say and she laughs. I take a hit from my cigarette and blow the smoke out of my nose.

“Exactly. I hate this fucking job. Guys just want you to give them lap dances and when you do they start to touch. Don’t you know you can’t touch a stripper? I swear it’s irritating.”

“Then you should get a better profession”

I say and she just looks at me with question.

“Like what?”

“Basket weaving?”

“You have jokes, eh? Haven’t I seen you somewhere?”

“Maybe. Do you watch wrestling?”

“My boyfriend does. You look familiar that’s all. Are you a wrestler?”

“Yeah, I am.”

“Oh. Anyways, you’re cute”

She looks down at my finger and sees my wedding band.

“You’re married? What are you doing here? Getting bored?”

“No, not at all. We’re about to have triplets.”

“Triplets?”

“Triplets.”

“Then what are you doing here?”

She asks and I ask myself the same question.

“Friends wanted to come here”

I throw my cigarette to the ground and blow the last bit of smoke out.

“I really don’t want to be here.”

“Then leave”

She says but I reluctantly shake my head.

“Can’t. I didn’t drive here.”

“Well, that sucks. Well I have to go back in. Have a good night… um…”

“Name’s not important”

I say and give her my lighter.

“You might need that”

She smiles and walks into the strip club. I pull out my phone and call my wife.

“Hey baby. I need you to pick me up.”

“Where am I? You’ll never believe me.”

..:: I supposed to be number one on everybody’s list ::..

“There are many theory’s of the Beatles break up. Some blame the pussy, others blame the use of LSD. But I say it was bond to happen. You can only do so much as a group. Before you get tired of being around the same people. It happened to every boy band after the Beatles. Bet Deka blames a pussy factor for breaking up New Kids on the Block.”

“Sir Paul seems to have done alright on his own, Same applies to me”

“Deka, I applade your attack. I also applade your mention of what went down at Rival Factions. In a rumble I happened to come up short in. But you really can’t be that upset, I mean it could have been worse. HIW could have been represented by Barney Green.”

“It’s a clear cut deal that Johnny Styles will never be a ‘Big’ name in the experts. Ever since the sour end of Barley Legal Wrestling my name has been tainted with them. So your dream of me fighting for the True Expert championship, is just that a dream. And it has nothing to do with me not being good enough. It’s all about politics.”

“Don’t believe me? Ask your self how the hell is Matt Marvel the only HIW name on there top ten? After I defeated him for the championship, and the next week defended it against him. And don‘t say its because he won his debut in PWR. Because that still carries no meaning after Marvel was coming off TWO Elite championship defeats!”

“Like I said…Politics.”

“Jesse can say he carries no grudge against me or Hall or anyone else from Barley Legal but just ask yourself the question I just asked? And you will be placed with the reality that there system is as flawed as the BCS system.”

“So maybe you are better off taking Marvel under your wing, he has a better chance in representing HIW when it comes to the eXperts.”

“See, Deka, I’m not one to be frightened by your weak threats. I’m not one to be frightened by your presence. If anything, you should be frightened by me. See, son, you know nothing of me. You know what you’ve seen thus far and that’s nothing. Really, it isn’t. Sure I’m the current Two time Elite Champion but that’s child’s play to me. That’s not SBK. If you want to see SBK at full force, show up on Vital Signs. If you want to see greatness, show up at Vital Signs. And you will become the one in need of a mentor.”

“You seem to think I am this rookie. You seem to think I am the new kid on the block and that I know nothing of this business. See, that is where you are wrong. I know everything about this business. I’ve been on top of the mountain more times than you can imagine. I’ve been on top more times then Matt Marvel, More times then Jack Percell, more times then Scorpio, more times then your GM ass. Again, don’t try and scare me with this ‘Bring me to the next level’ bullshit. See, I’m already on that level, I’m on the level of my very own Manifest!”

“Can you honestly say you’ve been on this level?”

“Meet me in the ring at Vital Sign and come see what I’m all about. Bring a bloody towel because once I’m done with you, the EMT’s will need it to support your head on the gurney. The blood will be dripping from the back of your head and the only thing to get it will be that towel. Then you can sniff it all you want and remember the night that SBK broke your spirit, your hopes, and your dreams. You can sniff it and remember the battle you could have won but didn’t. That will be the thing you can love and accept.”

“My Level of Manifest is taking over”

“I don’t care if you’re impressed with me. I’m not here to impress you, the fans, the announcers, or anyone else. I’m here to make a statement. I’m here to run ramped on this federation and there will be nothing you or Marvel can do about it. Matt already knows what I can do. Go ask him how I am. Go ask him for strategy. Go ask him for a way to beat me. Then you’ll find out the answer is simple.”

“There is no way to beat me.”

“You claim that I am way over my head with this match. You make many claims, Deka, but what have you done to back it up? What can you say makes you better than me? Your win over Matt? Your ferocious words? Your babbling? Please, man, get over yourself. Come Vital Signs, you will be the one way over my head. You’ll be way over my head when I watch you float over my head while you land for a vicious End Result. You’ll be the one that floats over my head as we meet eye to eye and I’ll see fear. I’ll see the fear you have when you speak. It’s that quiver you have in your voice that proves to me that you’ll never be on my level.”

“So stop trying.”

“Bring everything you have kid. Once you look God in the eyes you’ll understand the hype. You’ll understand why I am HIW. While it doesn’t matter to me it sure matters to you. So look in my eyes, kid. You’ll see green and gold. The envy you have for me and gold that you’ll never be able to get from me.”

“I’m heartless.”

“Face it Deka, you don’t want to face your worst nightmare. You don’t want me to be on another level of pure violence. To be honest you wouldn’t survive it. You might claim to be an asshole but you’re looking at the biggest asshole of them all. You’re dealing with A Legacy… God walking among mere mortals, and there is nothing you’re going to do to stop it. So, please, tell me I’m below you. Tell me that I’m the inferior race. You know, it worked so well for Matt. All I did was put a boot in his throat and told him to swallow. I got my Elite Championship and you got jealous. Hell, kid, once I defeat you, who do you have left to go up against me? No one!”

“Your running out of options Deka, it’s the real reason why your getting your hands dirty this week”

“So bring the same ability you talk about teaching me. I’ll bring the same one I had the past two weeks. The outcome will be the same as my last two main events and then Deka you can look up at the house lights with dismay wondering what happened to you. You’ll realize you just got a sweet End Result and there’s nothing you can do about it. So let evolution run its course and let the men take over the monkeys. Because if either of you try to stop me, I won’t just stop your career from flourishing… I’ll stop your life from flourishing. That’s not a threat, that’s not a warning, it’s a damn guarantee. I’m a problem, son.”

“You don’t have the solution.”
