Under estimating your opponent is something I have come to learn and do in my life. I did it last week and got beaten by Donald Moore then he felt the need to take a swing at me for offering him a hand in victory... Whatever he’s a cocky rookie who still doesn't know his place.
Some people have asked me what my place is and lately I haven't been able to answer then clearly. That’s all gonna change after treason. I'm going to win the RWA TV title for the fifth time in my career, then I am going to win the US title. Then After all is said and done I will win the Universal title.
Shawn Walsh and SC got the better of me yes, but I did the right thing in helping Amy. So people where shocked at my boldness to jump into the cluster fuck as she calls it. Then again I am Cody Carson. I am the Legacy. It shall continue after Treason. Until then you shall all love me.
Cody Carson pushed himself off the couch. Carmen had still not forgiven him for what he had done and after the lose to Donald Moore he felt better on the couch, alone. He had bailed Amy Jo out and got nothing for it. She lost to Walsh, he got a ball bat to the head, for want he wondered. Oh well, he said to himself as he moved into the kitchen. He pulled open the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water, he popped the top and quickly downed half the bottle. Slowly he moved to his gym bag and pulled out the little black baggy. He pulled out another needle and slowly injected the fluid into his abs. He pulled the needle out and put it away. His body tingled and his heart raised from the fluid. He then pulled on a black wife beater and grabbed his quick sliver hat off the rack, putting it on backwards he started out of the house and down the road on his daily run.
He started down the street at a quick but steady pace. The smack to the back of the head had gave him a minor concussion and he was getting use to the dizziness that came with it. His mind was a wonder, how could he have lost to the rookie kid. He was sure he kicked out before the count of three. He was positive and he would prove it next week, at Treason. He knew that this was a chance of a life time and if he won this match he was going to have a shot at the TV title. He could become five time TV champion. he turned a corner and was suddenly joined by a woman. She was in a tank top and a pair of spandex shorts. Cody looked at her and she looked at him. It felt good to jog with someone even if they didn't speak.
She stayed at his pace, not and easy thing to do when you are running with Cody Carson. he liked to up the tempo every now and then. He quickened his pace and was ahead of her. She quickened hers and stayed beside him. Cody smirked at her. "You new here?"
"Just moved here last week." she said with a smile. She quickly turned the corner and Cody almost lost a stride but he stayed even with her. "You?"
"Nope, I've been here for a while." Cody replied.
Cody then turned into a park and started on a solid full out run. Surprisingly she kept with him. As he jumped the playground equipment she followed in turn. Cody looked over at her and smiled. Suddenly he lost his balance and slid on the grass, flipping over his feet and landing hard on his ass. She stopped and started to laugh at him. "Not as graceful as you are quick eh?"
"Ha HA." Cody said as he got up holding his ass.
"So I never caught your Name." She said leaning onto her knees.
"Cody." he replied. he moved to the play ground equipment and sat down on the slide. "Yours?"
"Lisa." She replied. She looked at the ring on his finger and frowned a little. "You're married."
"Yep." Cody said as he dropped his head.
"That sucks." She said with a sly wink.
"Not really." Cody said. "She's pissed at me right now."
"Why?" She asked. "IF you don't mind me asking."
"Not at all." Cody said. "I got a hole in my heart and I lied to her about it."
"Really?" She said with a questioning look. "You sure don't run like you have a whole in your heart."
"Yeah." Cody said. "I'm getting treatment for it."
"Oh." She replied as she took a seat on the rocks. "Are you training for something?"
"You don't know who I am?"
"Cody." she said with a smart ass smile.
"Cody," Cody replied with a smile. "Yeah I am training for something."
"What?" She asked.
"Just to train in general." Cody lied. "You?"
"I just like to run." She said. Cody pushed himself up and climbed onto teh monkey bars, falling through them and hanging upside down he started to do sit ups. His muscles where getting so big and he was gaining weight. His stomach looked like a washboard now instead of just a six pack. This was a corded six pack going on an eight pack. Lisa smiled at him and leaned back. "So what else do you do besides workout?"
"Drink beer." Cody said between sit ups.
"What do you do for a living?" She asked.
"When did I agree to play twenty questions?" Cody asked with a smirk.
"Do you want to?" She asked as she rolled onto her stomach and looked up at him.
"No." Cody said plainly as he sat up and pulled himself back though the monkey bars with a grown.
He looked down at her and smirked. "You want to join me again tomorrow?"
She chuckled as he got to her feet. "If you can keep up."
She walked away with a smirk and left him sitting on the monkey bars. His smiled dimmed and he looked down at the ground. What if one day he just didn't wake up? What if at treason he suddenly dropped dead? His mind was filled with what ifs and he hated it.
Dos./
He awoke about three in the afternoon, after his run his body just shut down, he had come home and collapsed on the couch tired and sore. He groaned, sat up, and cracked his neck. There was a note on the table for him, from Carmen. Hey baby, I‘m sorry about our fight… come to bed tonight. Me and Ally are going out to Wal-Mart… If you need anything call my cell. Love you. Carmen. he was off the hook Cody realized as he crumpled the note up and tossed it into the trash. He moved into the kitchen, grabbed a glass out of the cupboard and suddenly was on the floor. His heart was burning and all the muscles in his body where tensed. His breath came in shot grasps and the glass shattered beside his head. Was this the end he thought. Will I never get to say good bye.
Have you ever faced death? I have, three times now. Once in the beginning of my career when I was in a car accident. I don’t think that was the way I should go, both my parents died that way, but not me. Second time was about a year ago when I snapped my neck fighting Shawn Walsh in the SFT. I thought for sure everything was over, everything went black for several minutes then I realized I had my eyes closed, hoping and praying that it wasn’t all over. Now this, my heart is fucked and I don’t know if I’m gonna pull through this, but it doesn’t matter, it has never mattered. If I’m inches from death I will not be denied my one last thrill. I always seem to pull myself up and out off the shit hole that I am in. Its crazy eh?
So this is it, rumors are floating around about a roster split and a new show and blah blah blah. I don’t care what happens after Treason, weather the RWA dies or not, what ever happens, happens. I personally can not stop looking at my match for Treason. I get my chance to win the TV title contender ship.
Who cares?
I’m past the TV title, and I hate the TV title and Andrew Foley knows that I want nothing to do with the Television Division. I am so far beyond the TV title it isn’t even funny when they give me a match like this. Yes I got beat by Donald more, so give him a shot at the TV title, not me. Let me work my way back up and into the spot light, like I was when the RWA first re opened its doors. I fought off the likes of Nathan Gust and Nirvana, then continued on and ended up in the Main event against Seth Dryden and Seth Thomas for the Universal championship. I was this close to winning the title, and I missed the opportunity.
Andrew Foley would not give me a second shot when I came back into the RWA after my leave. He wouldn’t even consider it. Instead it continues to put me up against no name superstars like Donald Moore and for some strange reason they beat me. I know my opponent this week beat Nathan Gust, hell she made him tap out, say I quit, give up, but that won’t happen to me. I’m pretty sure she will start to talk about how much my past history doesn’t matter and about how the reason I have lost to the rookies as of late is because I am a Shell. I am no longer Cody Carson, but a mere shell of a man that is trying to be something is use to be. A has been so to speak.
Oh wait, she will say, since I said that, That I was a never was, that I chocked.
She would be right. I never captured the RWA Universal title. No, But I did make it to the big stage, I made it there and I stood my ground, fought my fight and lost to the better man. Vegas, Seth Dryden.
I will give you credit doll, that is some feat to say that you, a rookie made Nathan Gust tap out. The Funny thing is that Nathan tapped out to a move I have perfected but never put on him. As you will find out come treason just how perfected I have that move. See, I can lock it on at any time like a boa constrictor, I wait, wait, then the first mistake, you are in in and are tapping.
I know that you have gotten close to Shane Clemmen’s and he want me to show my brutal side. What better way that to kick the living shit out of his friend and most likely one of the thirty whores he has. I’m betting you’re one of the toughest and I’m betting that you are going to give me a good a show, but really I’m not that nervous about facing you.
You have nothing on my sister-in-law and you will never be able to come close to the bad ass bitch she was. She scared me. You, you may be seasoned and you may be trained my Shane for all I know but that fact doesn’t matter. I just know that I am better then you and I will win this match so that I can go and win the TV title for the fifth time, drop the fucking thing and go on for bigger and better goals.
Just what the RWA needs, an Irish Emo.
How does that work? Irish people are suppose to be tough and are suppose to wear all green and be all like ARRRR. Kinda like a pirate. But you dress all in black and have your hair covering your eye, do you think that that is the style now? I know the queers and wrist slitters do it but really I never pegged you as one of those. Heh, who cares.
The only thing that matters is me.
I am the legacy,
I am the One and only,
Cody Carson
