The Legacy...

It is a dull fall day with orange and yellow leaves on the ground. As you look around you see little kids throwing leaves at each other and their parents sitting on a near by bench, you see and old beat up water park, so old that even the elderly remember playing in it when they where kids. Some of the steel is rusted and there are a lot of dinks and kinks in the whole thing. The only thing that looks half decent is an old water tank. It is station behind pillars if wood. As you move closer, you can see that looks are deceiving from far away. As you get up to it you can see the handle is covered in rust and the end of it also covered. You see 2 huge trees one branches off at the base into two trees and the other is long tall. They wave in the wind and some more leaves fall from it. Down on the ground and you see non other then Cody Carson. He is walking slowly with his head down seemingly in deep thought. He walks past the people who look at him and then back at the kids still playing. Past the trees that defend the water park from the sun. Through the water park that has been shut off from the fall and winter and towards a baseball field. As he makes it there after crossing the parking lot, we find that the gate is locked. The fence isn’t to big and Cody easily jumps it. He hops up onto the bleachers and walks to the top row. He sits down and puts his hands on his head.

“Fuck me,” he said aloud “I win the hardcore title in front of my home fans, I‘m in Canada with my wife and my baby… What the hell am I doing…”

“Cody…” Came a call from below him, in a questioning voice. It had been a long time since Cody had been here. “Cody Carson? Is that you?” Cody looked up and an elderly man was standing in front of him. His hair was salt and pepperish and his face was tan and wrinkled. He wore a white mustache, an old brownish hat and matching over coat.

It’s me. How did you get in here? Cody questioned with a smile.

“I have a key.” The man replied with a smile showing a nice set of dentures

“Ah.“ Was the only reply cody could think of This guy knew his name but Cody had no clue who the hell he was. But hey, It’s Canada he thought.

“Do you mind if I sit down with you?” The man asked.

Cody looked the man up an down and then smiled warmly, “It‘s Canada dude, do what ever you please.”

The old man smiled and sat beside Cody. He set his cane beside him on the metal bench and it made a clinging sound as he dropped it. Before Cody Had a chance to ask, the man spoke.“My name is ed.”

“That‘s nice ed. How do you know my name?” Cody asked quickly jumping to the conclusion that the man new him from TV.

“ Well… I just guessed. Your the only one that ever came down here in the fall and sat up here.” The man sighed. “My boss wanted me to charge you every time I reported back that you broke in here.”

“How did you…”

“I use to be an umpire here. I use to come down here and check on everything. Make sure nothing got damaged.” He replied, explaining himself to Cody.

“You don‘t remember me do you kid?”

“Yeah. I think I remember seeing you.” Cody lied just trying to keep the conversation going and not wanting to seem like an asshole for not remembering someone that remembered him back in the day he thought no one even seen him.

“ Don’t lie to an old man Cody.” Ed replied with a sharpness in his voice. “I remember you. I haven’t seen you a long long time.”

“Yeah. I’m living my dream. Cody replied without much strength behind it. HE didn’t really know what his dream was anymore.

“What was that?” Ed asked as he leaned back a bit.

“Wrestling, living life with my family. I got a wife and a kid now.” Cody said with pride in his voice.

Ah yes. He replied with a sigh.

“ I remember my daughter she was so beautiful. She had he mothers eyes and he mothers features. She was so pretty. HE died last year, hit my a drunk driver. That’s when I started to come back down here, do what you did. I have always wondered this, why did you come down here?”

“I don’t know. It‘s just so nice down here and there was no worries, no one to fight, no one to feel sorry for me, just me and this bench.” Cody said as he slid his hand across the cold metal.

“Did you ever want to play ball?” The man asked trying to change the subject a bit.

“The thought crossed my mind a couple of times.” Cody replied as he sent his gaze from Ed to the ball diamond.

“Well maybe sitting here gives you the feeling that you could have done something but didn’t. Ed replied. Cody didn’t know if the comment was towards him or towards ed himself about his daughter.

“ Nah. I could have if a wanted to.” Cody replied and then looked at the mans brown eyes. He knew the question wasn’t his to answer. “Sometimes, things are just meant to be. Sometimes, things just happen that are needed. We can’t stop them and we can’t change them, they just happen.” The comments seem to easy Ed a little.

“So want brought you down here today?”

“ I have to fly to Winnipeg in a few days for a match against this guy that is an egotistical asshole. For the first time in a long time, my nerves have gotten the better of me. He’s good, he holds the second best title in the federation and he is in the most powerful sable the RWA has seen in years.” Cody replied as he dropped his gaze to the bench.

“Well, maybe you should use that to your advantage. You see, sitting here calms you down. Well maybe if you learn to let your nerves take you over…” Before he could finish Cody interrupted him.

“You don’t understand, letting your nerves take over is a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of vulnerability.”

“ Well, how do you get stronger if you have nothing to strengthen?” Ed asked him. The comment stopped Cody in his tracks, finally someone has gotten it through his thick skull that in order to get strong you have to become weak. Ed stood up and Cody didn’t even seem to see him move. He was in somewhat of a trans. After several seconds Cody looked around but Ed has already gone. Cody leaned back against the rail and started to breath hard. He closes his eyes and let his nerves take over, almost making him drop to the ground, twisting and turning his body inside out. For the first time. Cody was starting to gain strength.

Match talk

Tony Barrera,

The United States Heavyweight champion.

EWWW AWWWWW!!!!

You expect the world to grovel at your feet for what reason? Because you ego is better then this world and the next? Or is it because you think you are the greatest thing in wrestling today? Or Maybe, just maybe its because you think that you can not be beaten? You think that ever since you have won the US title back you can not be beaten by anyone.

News Flash asshole, your no god and your no Legacy,

Myth

1: A traditional, typically ancient story dealing with supernatural beings, ancestors, or heroes that serves as a fundamental type in the worldview of a people, as by explaining aspects of the natural world or delineating the psychology, customs, or ideals of society.

2: A fiction or half-truth, especially one that forms part of an ideology. A fictitious story, person, or thing: “German artillery superiority on the Western Front was a myth”

Fable, Fairy tale, Fiction, illusion, legend, lie, all words for Myth. All but one describe you. Your no fucking legend, no one is until they die. Stu Hart, Owen Hart, Hawk and every other died superstar are legends. You, your nothing. You’re a spoiled little bitch that thinks the world of himself.

With an ego to big for his body to comprehend.

I’m tony Barrera…

I am the best…

kneel before me, or I shall strike you down with my mighty finger….

GGRRR!!!

SHUT UP!

I mean for fuck sake Tony you never do shut up. Its Tony this or Tony that, I’m a legend I’m the best I’m the U… S… Champion…

Isn’t that the second best title?

So in your claims to be the best you have left out on detail… YOU are NOT the UNIVERSAL CHAMPION!!!

How does that make YOU the best?

IT doesn’t.

You see Tony this is where you fucked up, you can’t be the best if you haven’t held or are currently hold the Universal championship. So in all reality the only ones that Can claim to be the best are Seth Dryden, Amy Jo, Shane Fuck face Clemmens, and, it pains me to say but Rayn. You Tony, Have never even had a title match for it where it has changed hands. I was in the first ever Match for the Universal championship after defeating a man that took that little US title from you. I beat Nirvana, and Nathan Gust in the same match. After my return from Beating the CURRANT UNIVERSAL CHAMPION, Shawn Walsh in SFT!

What do you have Tony? You got nothing.

You Have been defeated my Myself and Eric badger, or did you forgot about February eighteenth of two thousand and seven. When you lost to myself and Eric Badger for the TV championship. When we through you ass off the scaffold.

You forgot all about that didn’t you?

Just remember you egotistical bastard, you have lost to me.

I know this isn’t a scaffold match… But It will just make it that much sweeter when you are pinned ONE TWO THREE!!!

Although, It would be more fun to hear you scream and tap out or to watch you pass the fuck out.

Either way…

I shall shred some of your ego on Tuesday in Winnipeg.

Sign,

The legacy…
