Past vs. Present

I don't care what people say
As long as you and me okay
Because I never been in love before

[ :| I sat there on the front steps, awaiting for Desiree’ to come around. I took me out another cigarette, lighting it and inserting into my mouth. As the clouds began to cover over the sun in the sky, I just remained there, my hands over my head, shaking it wondering why everything goes wrong once something is going great. My head shook until a familiar voice was heard through my ears. |: ]

Voice: You never could stop smoking them damn cigarette’s …

[ :| My head instantly with a quick snap peaked up and my facial expression instantly turned into a cheesy-ass smile. I took the cigarette out of my mouth as I plucked it off on the side, while I stood up, a tad bit taller than her at the time, due to the step. I just slightly laughed at her comment. |: ]

Juan Ramirez: Well you digged me when I had them sticking out my mouth. I thought it’d be a memoir. You know ever since you got to me in Wisconsin, I’ve been thinking a lot.

[ :| She then without hesitation, placed her hand on her hip, as she just shook her hair, slightly rolling her eyes. |: ]

Desiree’: I told you, Juan. You had me, then you lost me. Now it’s too late! Now if you can excuse me, I have some dinner to fix.

[ :| As she went up the steps past me, I followed her, stepping back in front of her. As I dropped the cigarette on the ground, before stomping on it. |: ]

Juan Ramirez: Damn, well look. I know I fucked up in the past babygirl. I’m trying to gain back what I lost …

Juan Ramirez: Ever since you were with that red-headed bimbo … I can’t look at you the same way, Juan. You dropped me for her, and then look at what happened. She ditched you. Now you trying to gain me back. Baby, it don’t work like that.

[ :| She continued past me, slightly pushing me out the way, as she pulled out the keys, opening the door to the apartment. She looked back at me. |: ]

Juan Ramirez: Look, I’ve changed. I’m working myself up to a better one. I know I dropped the ball a lot, but look I’ve changed. I just need the sidekick back at my side, and I’ll be back to what I once was. The one you loved. Come on, be honest, who else could do what I did for you?

[ :| She began to smirk and giggle, as she stood there with the glass door open, as she leaned against it, looking at me. I walked up the steps, as I approached her. I looked at her, as I grabbed her hand. |: ]

Juan Ramirez: I’m not gonna do what the usual punk-asses would do, and beg for mercy or forgiveness. I simply want to make shit up, and return to what we once had. How about you skip the making dinner skit, I’ll take you out. You just go in there, get yourself ready and pick out a hot dress or whatever you choose to wear, and I’ll meet you back here at seven o’clock sharp.

[ :| She began to smile, as she brushed her hair back, before looking at the watch on her wrist. |: ]

Desiree’: Well you always did know the great places here in New York. I guess we’re on.

Juan Ramirez: You guess? Come on, you gotta come better than that.

[ :| She twirled her head, as she brushed back her hair again, smirking and giggling. |: ]

Desiree’: You’re on, but don’t fuck me over again, or I’ll cut you … PERMANENTLY!

Juan Ramirez: Aight Ma’ … I definitely got you. Just be ready.

See I use to be a player and
All of this is new to me
And this ain't what I'm used to see
Because I never been in love before

[ :| Inside the lavish setting of the fancy restaurant on Clark Avenue and 86th Street, in Manhattan, New York. It was close to seven-thirty, as I escorted Desiree’ to the fanciest restaurant I knew. Plus I had connections. I had to make things up. I couldn’t screw up anything. Couldn’t let anything interfere between the two of us. Sitting there at the window, far in the back, I looked on, waiting for the orders, as Desiree’ kept her eyes locked onto me. |: ]

Desiree’: I totally forgot how great you looked outside of the street clothes. You look like something straight from the GQ magazine. Why you don’t do the professional clothing all the time?

Juan Ramirez: You know I am real. I only wear these on special occasions, such as this and other events. I rock street wear day and night. It’s a habit. A style I’m comfortable in. But I always look good, in or out of a suit.

[ :| She rolled her eyes around as she looked around the restaurant. |: ]

Desiree’: It is so luxurious in here. I thought you were taking me to Subway.

[ :| I looked at her with a awkward look, as she smirked. |: ]

Juan Ramirez: You know I always love to make an impact. Subway may slow down weight gain, but it’s nothing elegant. I needed to go all out.

[ :| She just smiled, steady looking around the place as the waiter came with the food. |: ]

Desiree’: Yes, I am starving … Thank you for going all out on such a chick like me.

Juan Ramirez: It’s no problem. You deserve it.

[ :| She looked at me with a dim stare, as if she knew what was up. |: ]

Desiree’: You trying to earn your way to a “freebie” tonight aren’t you. I should’ve known.

Juan Ramirez: Not really, more of a treat, but if you feel like going that route, than go ahead.

[ :| Again she gave a dim stare, as she began to test out the food, nodding her head in approval, I watched on. |: ]

Waiter: Hope you both enjoy …

Juan Ramirez: Thanks homie …

[ :| She looked back up at me, wondering why I wasn’t chowing down as well. She could see the concerned look in my eyes, as she yielded, dropping the fork on the plate, as she wondered what was up. |: ]

Desiree’: What’s wrong?

Juan Ramirez: A lot on my mind. A lot of things. A lot of questions needing to be answered. About us, my future plans. It’s a lot right now. It’s been bothering me the past week, ever since I met up with you last week. It all circled in my head, and again … it’s doing the same.

[ :| Desiree held my hands as she looked directly in my eyes. |: ]

Desiree’: Whatever you need to get off of your mind, let it out while you still can.

Juan Ramirez: Thanks …

[ :| As she released my hand, our faces became closer and closer, our lips puckered out longer and longer. As they tried to connect … |: ]

Voice: Mr. Ramirez …. Mr. Ramirez.

[ :| Well damn, just when I was close, a disruption occurred. I looked at the guy, face ready to explode. Verbally about to create carnage inside a elegant restaurant, just because of a fucking reporter. I looked at Desiree’ and back at the reporter. |: ]

Juan Ramirez: WHAT?

[ :| The reporter jumped back from the loud explosion of my voice, as the camera guy began taping. |: ]

Reporter: Well Mr. Ramirez, you are up against the Adrenaline Champion, Sarah Punche …

[ :| Juan quickly shut the guy off … |: ]

Juan Ramirez: Yeah, what about her. Yeah I got to face her. Yeah, I get to release some of this much needed pressure into this match. Yeah, I know my statement I made if I dropped to this match. What do you want?

[ :| The camera guy smirks slightly before looking at the two. |: ]

Repoorter: Well the question is, what are you going to do if you lose to Sarah Punche?

Juan Ramirez: You know what? I’m not going to even answer to that. It’s not worth it, I’m going to just simply do what I do best and bring home a win that is muchly needed. Now if you can excuse me, I think it’s time we bounce …

[ :| Juan assists Desiree’ to her feet as the reporter watches them both as well as the camera man. Juan escorts Desiree’ to the outside as they escape the scene. |: ]

Damn, Here We Go Again.

Now you cant hate us all day
We aint leavin no way
We changed the whole game
We brought you into the future

This is too much too take in.

You’re going to need someone to hold you once I finish skinning you like a potato. I’ve just had about enough of this shit. Listening to you is worst than getting blown by the sound of a fat chick on stage screaming her lungs out until your damn ears bleed. Please darling, don’t say no more. You’re making everyone depart. Why don’t you go, you and your Anna and ride the waves of shark-infested water. You’re not giving me a challenge at all. I’m not even impressed. I don’t even know how you’re on such a dominant streak? But then again, I know how …

You took the easy way down the long, dirt road.

Don’t listen to me, go and get your groove on. All it’s going to do is screw you up even more than where you are already at. Jealousy? Why should I be jealous? Oh because you believe I was to come in here and instantly reach stardom. Honey, I know the ropes. I know what it takes to get to the promise land. Unlike you, you went the easy way, the “BJ Way”. You couldn’t stand gritting your hands into the dirt, and climbing the long hard path, you wanted to work less. That’s the only reason you’re wearing that title.

Cry me a river.

“Kiss, Kiss … Bang Bang!” is what is soon to happen. One day you’ll wake up, everything you had will be gone, out of sight, nowhere to be found. Sarah, you think tearing up and showing your emotions is gonna get me all “mushy mushy”, then you must not know me well enough. I don’t need an attitude adjustment. The slider is set just perfectly. Right between, “Kill-A-Bitch” and “I Don’t Give A Fuck-less”. I don’t need to change anything.

Who are you? One of Dr. Phil’s hoe-around’s?

I am who I am. Not you, Drachewych or that silly-looking dork is going to change me. I am Juan Ramirez. I knock people out for fun. I give bitches like you a bad hair-do and send you home broke. I don’t need your advice, darling. I’ve done this for a good while. You finally got a chance and now you think you’re some damn psychiatrist. You’re gonna tell me how to act. It doesn’t work like that.

You’re on the wrong channel.

Don’t come wth that cheap  shit as if you know all about me. You don’t know a damn thing. All you know is watch you see on television and read in the articles. Too many have come to me with that shit, and they got taught the lesson. They really didn’t know shit about me. Sarah, the best thing for you to do is shut the trap on that door of yours before you lose some things.

I shall make it rain.

Breakdown, I’m going to do exactly that. I will break you down. Not only into tears darling, but break you down to your last penny. You actually did score one out a thousand about me. I am doubting myself a lot. I am going over and over about Tactical Terror. I am putting a lot of pressure on myself. It’s a reason. As said, you’ve gotten through it the easy way. We’ve struggled. You can’t possibly tell me nothing, because you haven’t really experienced the motivational loss after such a hyped match, knowing you took the cake but yet end up on the mat. You just don’t fucking know.

You think you know all the answers, but that’s just “filler”.

You want to really know about Juan Ramirez. You’re going to find that out at Breakdown. There will be no wiping down. It’ll be breaking down and causing raucous. I’m truly tired of these games, Sarah. Only if you went through the war, you would know. You may be an experimentalist, but your experiments with Juan Ramirez will surely flake, and you’ll end up laid on your back. No, Anna will not be there beside you, more like “EMT” will be there, getting you onto the stretcher. All you’ll be hearing from me is …

I told you so.

You’re not ready for this.

You’re not ready to ride this emotional rollercoaster.

This is the end for you my lesbian friend.
(Wrap up tight)

Don’t begin to tear up
(It’s not going to make things any better)

I’ll take you there
(Don’t complain when you get what you asked for)
