Sara’s return back to the WiW had already caused quite a commotion. People were talking about it and this only made her happy. After a confrontation with Dave Batista, it was a good thing to know that Sara had it in her to defend herself. But the same evening, not even ten minutes after, her relationship with her husband had been announced officially over. It had caused her to be quite depressed, Sara was unsure if she was able to make it without her husband looking over her shoulder and making sure she was doing all the right things. But with her reuniting with Tracy, her long lost friend and realizing her true potential and future…Sara’s spirits are still high and her best friend no doubt, will be able to keep them there.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: Remind me again why I wanted to travel with you again?
Tracy stood in the hotel lobby with Sara, holding her bags and looking utterly exhausted. Sara and Tracy both stood in the checkout line, with Sara laughing at her friend, who always found a way to make her laugh. Sara was so happy to have her back and she patted her friend on the back.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: We went to bed so late last night and then you made me get up so early. When I was traveling…by myself…I got to sleep whenever I wanted! Sara: I guess things have changed. Plus you know that we had a shitload of fun last night. Tracy[The Best Friend]: Doesn’t mean that I’m not about to fall over right now. I swear…on the plane ride I’m going to be sleeping my ass off. Sara: Well aren’t you entertaining? I’m really glad that we met up again. Tracy[The Best Friend]: You know you love me.
The checkout line inched up just a bit and Sara picked up her bags only to put them down again after stepping a foot up in line.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: I don’t understand what takes so long to checkout… Sara: Maybe people just don’t have the money Trace… ???[Unknown]: I can’t believe it…all my money..gone!
Tracy gave Sara a curious look before turning her attention back to the desk. Like most people, Tracy was born for gossip and was constantly into everyone’s business. This was one of those times when she wished she was closer to hear and see more. Sara peered around the corner to see a young girl, roughly 22 or 23 standing there. She was digging profusely in her purse for her wallet, credit cards, money, or anything at all. She felt eyes all around her and she could feel the tears falling. Sara shook her head and almost took a step forward to see what she could do, before another young woman who had been standing behind her in line did before her.
Sara watched as the familiar face strode up to the counter. Small murmurs took place, much to Tracy’s irritation and in less than ten minutes both women walked away with from the counter, the younger one looking especially grateful.
Sara: Looks like she paid for her… Tracy[The Best Friend]: Well that was nice of her. I wonder how much the room was. Should I ask? Sara: Why would you ask? Tracy[The Best Friend]: Um because I want to know for one thing. What if that girl is pulling a scam and that other girl just got scammed!
Sara stared blankly at Tracy and shook her head.
Sara: Something tells me that’s not the case. Tracy[The Best Friend]: But what if it was? Sara: Wouldn’t be any of your business otherwise right?
Sara smiled and was still looking over to the two girls, still talking. Then it hit Sara like a freight train.
Sara: Whoa TRACE!
It was a bit loud and a few eyes moved to Sara. Sara laughed and moved closer to her best friend as the line inched forward just a bit.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: What, what? Sara: A WiW diva just helped her out. That’s Milena Roucka!
Tracy looked a bit harder and her eyes expanded when she realized it too.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: Wow yea you’re right! That was a coincidence! Funny how she had been standing behind us the whole time. Sara: I haven’t really talked to any divas at this point though. No one has really stuck out to me. I mean back when I had the gold I was good friends with Trish but I think we both know how that turned out.
Tracy nodded and she smiled at the memory.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: But you did end up getting her belt.
Sara nodded with a smile.
Sara: Had to be the high point of my career indeed. But hell I could see myself aligning with her. Tracy[The Best Friend]: Sara. She just paid for the hotel fee of some chick she doesn’t even know. Why would you align yourself with an idiot like that? Sara: Well for one thing…she’s the number one contender I do think.
Tracy paused and nodded.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: Yea..I’d say that’s a reason. What would you turn on her last minute after she had the title? Sara: Me? Trace no. She’s what I was when I first started. Trish was good to me when she…was sane. She taught me things that Mark couldn’t…
She trailed off a bit at the thoughts of her husband not being around anymore. It was difficult for her..more than Tracy knew.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: You’ll get through this Sara. I promise okay?
Sara nodded and continued.
Sara: The thing is…only another diva can teach you some things. I think that girl…if she’s serious about what she’s doing could make it far. She’s in good shape, number one contender...she can’t let this get down the drain. Tracy[The Best Friend]: Thanks for the speech, trust me..I know about dreams. Sara: But I’m serious. Trace you could have made it somewhere too. I don’t know why you decided not to… Tracy[The Best Friend]: Let’s not talk about it…
S C E N E T W O – Son of A Bitch
The scene opens to the backstage area of where Meltdown would be taking place, San Antonio Texas. The blistering heat outside is nothing due to the strong air conditioning that blasts through the hallways. The doors open from outside and in walk Sara and Tracy, looking to have basically ran into the building to avoid the heat. They both have smiles on their faces as if they just realized how stupid they must have looked.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: God it’s terrible out there.
Sara nodded in response and pulled her hair back from her face, still holding her equipment and clothes in her gym bag.
Sara: Let’s drop off our stuff at the locker room and then I gotta do a run in the ring a bit. I gotta get in the game for my return match. Tracy[The Best Friend]: Hell yea girl. You’re all over it.
Sara smiled, she knew that Tracy’s own attempt at wrestling hadn’t made it far, but she hoped with her traveling with her that she would change her mind and continue the fight. Both women walked side by side to the designated locker room. Unfortunately just coming back meant that she wasn’t at the top of the pile, meaning that sharing a locker room was a must. After Sara stuffed her bag in one of the lockers, she returned out into the hallway to see Tracy looking extremely irritated.
Sara: Whoa, what’s wrong all of a sudden? Tracy[The Best Friend]: Dave Batista. Sara: What? What the fuck? Two weeks back and I’m already sick of the bastard! Did he hurt you? Tracy[The Best Friend]: No thank god. He was just asking me questions…stupid questions…like who I was. I didn’t mind it because you know I’m a big… Sara: Flirt? Tracy[The Best Friend]: Well yea, but then he started asking stupid stuff. Like…how I knew you, where we were going tonight, who you were fighting tonight, any big plans you were going to do tonight? Sara: Son of a bitch. Tracy[The Best Friend]: Why the hell would he do that? Sara: He dates Melina Perez. He’s getting information for her since I took her out last week. These are the times I need a body guard. Come on let’s go down to the ring…I’m not gonna worry about him. You shouldn’t either okay? If he ever touches you I swear…just tell me okay? Tonight when I got out there before my match, I’m going to bring out the bitch.
Tracy nodded and shook it off, she was raised a tough girl, but anyone could easily be intimidated by Dave Batista.
Both girls calmly walked toward the ring, not noticing the figure who had been listening to the conversation around the corner, pulling out his cell phone and pressing it to his ear.
Dave Batista[The Animal]: Supposedly she’s going to make a statement tonight, calling you out.
He listens a few seconds and smirks.
Dave Batista[The Animal]: Yea that outta take her out…
The scene slowly fades away to black.
S C E N E T H R E E – Wow I Do Miss It
Sara and Tracy didn’t stop being on their toes until they finally made it down to the ring. There, they could potentially see someone, particularly Dave Batista, coming from any direction. Thankfully, no one was in the process of using the ring once they got there so they didn’t have to wait. Sara climbed through the ropes first and bounced around a bit, loosening up and stretching. Tracy remained on the ground next to the ring.
Sara: Come on Trace. Get up here girl…don’t tell me you’re worried about jackass still… Tracy[The Best Friend]: No..no..it’s not that. It’ just that…I haven’t been in a ring…in a long time.
Sara leaned on the top rope and looked down at Tracy and smiled.
Sara: Doesn’t take much to remember how to climb through ropes. Come on…get up here. Tracy[The Best Friend]: I…I don’t know.
Sara frowned deeply and pushed the bottom rope down so it would be easier for Tracy to get in.
Sara: Come on…nothing to lose. Plus I really need the help for my return match. I kind of need to make an impact! I’m not sure if a loss would do it.
Tracy smiled and shrugged her shoulders.
Sara: Trace…don’t be a chicken shit.
It was that, that did it and Tracy grabbed one of the ropes and pulled herself up, lowered herself between the two bottom ropes and entered. She stood there for a few moments as Sara ran toward the other set of ropes and bounced herself back, rolling her arms as she did so.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: Wow.
Sara stopped as Tracy just stood there, staring at the mat…frozen.
Sara: What?
Sara laughed and chuckled slightly.
Sara: What is it? Tracy[The Best Friend]: I do miss it. Sara: By just standing there…you realize you miss it?
Tracy nodded and moved forward, quickly getting Sara in a headlock. Sara pushed Tracy into the ropes, only to have her come back and hit her with a flying kick. Tracy dropped to her back before Sara could make it, rolled over and made it to her face; for both women to be staring at each other face to face. Tracy smiled and a tear ran down her face, she wiped it away quickly and she walked to the turnbuckle and raised her arms as she looked out over the empty crowd. She let out a scream of anger and frustration.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: I miss it a lot. But I think…just training with you…would surpass anything that I could do.
Sara put her hands on her hips and watched as Tracy jumped down from the turnbuckle.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: I’ll help you be the best you can be tonight. Let’s do this.
For the next hour, Sara and Tracy dueled it out, both women being able to get pin falls, and perform their favorite moves on another. By the end of the session both women were absolutely exhausted, but it was Sara who was able to put her best friend in a submission and have her tapping. Both women lied in the center of the ring…simply exhausted, breathing heavily. Sweat covered every ounce of their bodies and Sara was the first to get to her feet, shaking and smiling.
Sara: Good job Trace. Let’s head to the back okay?
Tracy nodded, ran a hand through her hair and got to her feet, almost as smoothly as Sara had.
Tracy[The Best Friend]: I really need a shower…I’m disgusting myself.
Sara smiled and both of them rolled out of the ring and the scene slowly fades as competitors and best friends walked to the back.
S C E N E F O U R– Let’s Recap Shall We?
The scene slowly begins to unfold as we see Sara Calaway, sitting in front of a black backdrop, evidently sitting on a stool of some sort. She is dressed in a, tight white tank top and light blue jeans. Her hair flows in a somewhat perfect fashion passed her shoulders. She lets out a deep breath and looks into the camera.
Sara: I cannot say enough how fortunate I am to be sitting here right now. I cannot say how lucky I am to walk again, yet alone be back in the ring and doing what I love to do. A long time ago, when I was run over by Lana Starr Mcmahon, all I ever dreamed about was being in the ring again. Everyone I told thought I was crazy; they told me that I had to focus on walking, on living, before I could ever imagine returning to the ring again. But being in the ring was my number one priority, nothing else mattered. That was of course, until my mother died. When that happened, I was utterly distraught, I second guessed myself. I had to focus on my mother and I realized that maybe I should have appreciated the things around me more than focusing in the ring. Losing my mother was more difficult and traumatic for me than nearly losing my own life. On top of that, I’ve heard rumors as to why me and my husband have decided to split up. It’s not because he cheated on me, he did not abuse me, we are going our separate ways because that’s our choice. It is not longer Sara Calaway..just…Sara.
She took a deep breath and smiled.
Sara: It is a next step in my life that I have to get through. But now, all of those things are behind me. Everything that stood in my way for me to get back, is behind me; for good. The fact is that I am back, that I overcame absolutely everything that was thrown at me, and I’m here. Last week on Meltdown, I came back and took down Melina Perez, the WiW Woman’s Champion. I brought her down, I took her out, and I made an impact. I did, what I dreamt of doing for months sitting in a hospital bed, with no one there for me. Now that I did it, I’m moving on to another goal. My goal is to one day have that WiW Belt on my shoulder, a belt that I truly never lost last year in a Triple Threat Match. It might not happen quite yet, but Melina Perez, I have your number and believe me when I say that I’m going to be calling you when you don’t quite expect it; just like last week.
She shifts her position on the chair and runs a hand through her hair.
Sara: This week, I’m opening up Meltdown. I’m opening it up, with a message to Melina Perez…which you will wait to see. But afterward, I have my return match with a little girl named Talia Madison, who I honestly have never heard of. But Talia let me recap for you in case you only listen when your name is heard. I’ve been gone for almost a year, told I was never going to walk again, and just returned last week. Listen hun, I don’t have time for games. This is my life; being a former Woman’s Champion I don’t have time to fiddle around with some little girl who isn’t really sure if this is for her yet. I have bigger and better things to fry darlin’ and if you think you can just walk in and get a victory over me, I’m sorry to bust your bubble but it’s not happening. I’m sorry to disappoint you hun, but you’re sadly going to be getting a marking under the loss column. Better luck next week.
It looks like Sara is finished but then she pauses for a moment and speaks again.
Sara: By the way, I’d like to personally thank all my fans for staying by me. There was no better feeling in this world than hearing you all again. I love you guys!
She blows a kiss into the camera before growing serious.
Sara: Talia Madison..I’m coming for you!
The scene cuts out at that point, back to black as it started.
End Roleplay.
