Foreword : How long had it been? When was the last time they had seen her face? It had been months and months…nearly a year now right? The diva known as Sara Calaway, former WIW Woman’s Champion had been off television for far too long; this was the bottom line. The diva who had kicked ass and had made it to the top had been run over by a car, driven by Lana Starr Mcmahon and in turn hadn’t been seen again. Her status was secretive and no one heard anything from her, she hadn’t returned, she hadn’t even made contact with the company. It was if she had vanished off of the face of the planet, as if she had actually passed on, as if she had died. Was the Deadman’s Wife…dead?

S C E N E O N E - It Is Her

The car could be seen just off of the horizon and it got slightly bigger and bigger as it drove closer. It appeared to be a rental car of sorts, unidentifiable to a person with little car knowledge. The driver pulled swiftly into the arena parking lot and finding a suitable position between two thick white lines in the visitor section. The engine turned off and the door opened and out stepped a woman that hadn’t been seen on WIW viewer television sets in a long time. Sara Calaway closed the door and with two beeps the locks tightened. Sara ran a hand through her hair and proceeded to the back entrance of the arena, knowing very well that her meeting with Shane Mcmahon was only a good ten minutes away.

The show that evening; Meltdown, was one of a kind. Things had changed drastically in a year and Sara wanted nothing more than to start fresh along with it. Her goal, was nothing more than to get back on top again just like she used to be, right at the top of her game, beating bitches and taking what was rightfully hers; the WIW Woman’s Championship. She hadn’t even lost it, so many months ago and instead had been cheated out of it by a woman named Lana Starr McMahon. The rivalry had gotten to personal levels, even to the point of Lana dragging in Sara’s own mother who had been in the hospital.

Sara’s mother unfortunately had passed away after Sara had disappeared from wrestling, and fortunately Sara had been able to consciously bid her farewell. Sara Calaway had not chosen herself to leave the WIW and instead had been run over by Lana Starr Mcmahon, had been plowed over without any mercy and in turn had put her out of wrestling for months.

Sara walked a bit faster through the hallways, smiling to a few familiar faces who looked at her with surprise before realizing that it wasn’t a mirage before them. It was her, she was back. Not much further and she came to Shane Mcmahon’s office. With a quick smirk she pushed up her sunglasses to expose her dazzling eyes and knocked on the door. He beckoned her inside and she pushed the door open. It creaked forward and her slender body moved inside the gap, stepping into the terrifically air conditioned office.

And so it was done. Sara Calaway once again had a contract with her name etched ever so perfectly at the bottom. It made her smile glow brighter just to think all the pain and anguish she had to go through to once again be called a WIW Diva. She wasn’t expected to be accepted again with open arms, far from it. She remembered her first few months as a WiW Diva, she had to work up to the prime time again, had to work up to the promo time, and she had to work up the respect again. People had to take her in again, access her as a person again, and consider whether or not they liked her…again. Hopefully the answers would be the same as they were before, that they loved her. Sara could remember the spotlight and the people, the fans, and the fame all before she had to go through months of agony and pain. She remember smiling in pictures, signing autographs and going to signings. She remembered the cheers, the occasional boos, and all of the little kids that would look to her as their hero. She had been admired by many, even if the belt hadn’t been on her shoulder, even when she had lost the title, they still loved her.

But it was all taken away; the life that she had quickly learned to love had been stripped from her. Now, uncertainty took over. She wasn’t sure how she was going to get back to the top; she wasn’t sure how she was going to get the belt back. She wasn’t sure how she was going to hear the cheers again. But one thing was for sure; that it was going to happen. As she stood there with every ounce of energy she had, it was going to happen. She made it a statement in her mind that she was going to get back to the top, that it was true; that she was here, she was back, and she was ready to take her life back.
