Both Matt and Jeff Hardy had been with the WWF for a short while before signing full time contracts in 1998. After running there own successful wrestling promotion they were excited to be a part of such a huge and global company such as the World Wrestling Federation. WWF opened many new doors for the Hardyz as they continued their career but to begin with used their cruiserweight styles. The high-flying, risk taking extreme Hardyz brought a whole new meaning to the word cruiserweight and that was not the only barrier they broke. In numerous matches we saw both Matt and Jeff risk their careers with jumps of ladders going through their opponents lying on tables and other foreign objects which in turn injured themselves. Even though Jeff his known for his extreme moves it was Matt who begun a lot of the extreme daredevil moves in their early matches. In 1999, the team of Matt and Jeff went on their first feud with long-term rivals Edge and Christian. The two teams would go on to battle all over the world and for many years more putting all wrestlers lives involved at risk. Also in 1999, Matt and Jeff joined forces with Gangrel in the New Brood which was the home of Edge and Christian in their early days in the WWF. After parting ways with Gangrel, Matt and Jeff were briefly managed by Terri Runnels. Subsequently, their long winded feuds with Edge & Christian and The Dudley Boyz, propelled a new image for all three teams as they introduced the TLC match consisting of Tables, Ladders and Chairs match which became a speciality match for all teams. These kinds of matches where full of high flying and extreme risk taking moves thus making them even more popular amongst wrestling fans worldwide and even propelled them onto becoming six time WWF World Tag Team Champions, making them one of the most successful tag teams in the history of the industry. There are many reasons why we follow the teachings and the lifestyles of both Matt and Jeff and here is why they are one of the most loved tag teams to ever grace the squared circle.

Last week Monday Night RAW rolled into the nation’s capital Washington DC. Washington put on one of the biggest shows of the company but there was one man who was upset with having no match; that man was Matt Hardy. He stormed General Manager Lita’s office in outrage of the decision by her and fellow GM James Mitchell. This is how it went down.
Last week we saw the return to the wrestling world the worldwide phenominom known as WwC Revolution. Returning after a four month hiatus the RAW roster put on a show to remember. On Heat we saw another huge return with the comeback of Team Extreme, Matt & Jeff Hardy who knocked off former ally Shannon Moore and the World's Largest Athlete Big Show. What will we see this week in the aftermath to this huge return?? Only to be seen this week on Monday Night RAW.
We are in the RAW backstage arena with the General Manager Lita who is sat behind her desk with Father James Mitchell at her side. The camera swings to the room door as it opens showing a familiar figure. The fans inside the arena rose to their feet and cheered for all that's it's worth for the entering Matt Hardy in the General Managers' Office. He seemed a little upset and made his way over to the desk. He placed his hands onto the desk and lent over the desk coming face-to-face with both Lita and James Mitchell.

[• extreme till death ¦ MATT HARDY -- lita what the hell is this??!! and you Mitchell. Where the hell is Matt Hardy on this week's card?? Last week on HEAT we saw the return of the greatest tag team in history when me and my brother Jeff beat Big Show and Shannon Moore. Now that marked the return of Team Extreme, who are turning to the old ways of risk taking and putting everything on the line to get what we want. Now i am doing this here in front of your ugly slutty face and this devil ass kisser next to ya.

Both Lita and Mitchell had been taken aback by the attitude of Matt Hardy which they had not seen for a long time. They seemed shocked at the disrespect that was being shown to them by Matt who continued his enslaught as they both rose to their feet trying to interrupt Matt in his tracks.

[• extreme till death ¦ MATT HARDY -- both of you sit down and shut the hell up, this is Matt Hardy's time to say his thoughts. Tonight i demand a match, whether it be before the show or during the main show. I cannot have that damn fat bellied son of a bitch getting inside the ring and not me. If you don't give me a match tonight it won't only be the other five men in Jeff's match that feel the wrath of Team Extreme. I am going down to that ring with him and if anyway, and i mean anyway get's in my way through the rest of the night there will be hell to pay, unless you can do something about it. Now i demand a match, and i demand a match NOW!!!

Lita and Mitchell turned to each other in shock at this new side to Matt Hardy. He was angered by not being able to produce his top quality wrestling skills inside the RAW ring tonight. They did not want to risk the health and safety of others inside the arena and for sure didn't want Matt Hardy trying to disrupt the show. How would the General Manager's react to this mouth running from Matt Hardy.
Oooh man, Lita and Matt Hardy on the same roster? This is not going to be pretty and I can guarentee that or will it? will we see the Hardy Boys and Lita start to get along or will they continue to go at it, well by the looks of it at this moment, they are going to be going at it.
But Lita cannot deny that she loves that attitude that Matt Hardy is giving now, he has always been a calm, whiney boy but now he is sticking up for himself and Lita loves it, she loves the fire in Matt's eyes and that is exactly what she meant to do when she didn't book Matt on the card, she wanted Matt Hardy to get angry for next week and then go all out and destroy his opponents.
Lita just looked at her co general manager who was about to speak and she stopped him before he could speak.

[• raw co-general manager ¦ LITA-- I got this James; you just go back to work.

James has never been one to just sit down and shut up, hell I'm suprised Lita and James are in the same office but he did just that, maybe he knew because of the history between Lita and Matt that this would be intresting for him to watch.

[• raw co-general manager ¦ LITA-- So, you're on my show? the show that I am making great..the show that I'm bringing some life too and then you are going to come barging into my office without knocking? ohh boy, you're in for a long ride.

Lita just laughed and then she began to speak again.

[• raw co-general manager ¦ LITA-- So Matt, you want to know why you weren't booked on the show this week? well..the truth is, this is exactly why..because I wanted to see the rage in you..I wanted to see you at your meanest.

Well, she has seen Matt at his meanest but that was for a reason that she really didn't want to see him mean, so that doesn't really count haha.

[• raw co-general manager ¦ LITA-- Now Matt, now you're going to get all pumped up for your match next week and then next thing you know, you are having your hand raised in victory. So really, I deserve two things from you..a thank you..and a apology.

Lita just smirked as she waited to see what Matt Hardy had to say, she just sat there as he began to speak to her.
Could Matt believe his ears?? Did Lita really just ask him for an apology and a thank you?? Matt was startled by the attitude of Lita in reply to his enslaught concerning how they ran the RAW brand. Matt was not pleased by any means to see Lita sitting behind the GM's desk let alone be on the same roster as himself. Matt thought about the request of Lita before leaning over the desk once more to reply to her straight to her face.

[• extreme till death ¦ MATT HARDY -- lita who the hell do you think i am Matt?? I am Matt Hardy, and i am not taking any orders from you and this young dracula you got sittin' next to ya. Matt Hardy, is now his own man and i get what i want when i want it and i can do whatever i want whenever i want. You want an apology from me, how about you just shut the hell up??

Lita looked hugely shocked by this attitude of Matt Hardy. She was notably pleased that Matt was showing a new side but she was not pleased it was directed towards her and she was taking this personal now. Father James Mitchell next to her seemed to be slightly affected but he was used to all this drama and action from TNA and he preferred to see his co-GM and Matt Hardy go at each others throats.

[• extreme till death ¦ MATT HARDY -- yeah Lita you should be shocked. At least one good thing we can see here is that you have gone to the dark side instead of selling your body to canadians like Edge. Lita i have told you what will happen if you do not give me a match but you have said that next week my match will come and i will get my hand raised. Who the hell am i facing next week on this show in the match that i show that i mean business? Matt Hardy will NOT DIE!!

Matt stared intensely at Lita as she seemed deeply affected by the slutty comments towards her from her ex-boyfriend Matt Hardy. They had never seen eye-to-eye since Lita left Matt for Edge and this on-going hatred was being prolonged here tonight in-front of the world. Matt awaited a reply from Lita who remained seated next to Father James Mitchell.
That whole I Will Not Die crap always made Lita laugh, she found it hilarious when all Matt would say in his promos was "I'm so great..Lita's a whore..I will not die", like he seemed so silly and she thought with this new attitude that he would drop that but nope, he's still a loser and how dare he bring up the whole Edge and Lita thing, that was the past and this was now, so she really wanted him to drop that, she was embarrassed of that point in her career, she never liked the whole "Rated R" thing, hell she didn't even like the whole Live Sex Celebration no matter how good she thought Edge was in bed, it was just awkward and made her look like a whore.
She went back to the point that Matt was now yelling at his general manager and she just couldn't have that, she stood up and began to argue with him.

[• raw co-general manager ¦ LITA-- You know Matt, Edge really cannot be that much of a loser if you got ditched for him, I mean after a how many ever years relationship..the girl just moved on, she got sick of you..and she went to someone that was much more..well, he was much better then you in the ring..and out.

Lita smirked and then she began to laugh, she knew that had to hurt Matt..bringing up the fact that she just walked out of his life, just like that.

[• raw co-general manager ¦ LITA-- But no Matt, it didn't end there..it ended with you PMSing all over the internet where it wasn't needed, it did not have to be there but you went and bitched, you made yourself look like a real cry baby you know. But enough about that, you want a match right?

Matt just nodded his head and she could tell that he was about to speak, but she cut him off by talking.

[• raw co-general manager ¦ LITA-- Tough luck, you are just going to have to wait till' next week..and trust me, you're going to wish that you never asked for this match..

Lita laughs and then she began to speak.

[• raw co-general manager ¦ LITA-- Okay, now that I am done speaking..you can talk, good boy for waiting.

Lita just got another giant smirk on her face and she placed her hands on her hips waiting to see what lame come-back that Matt would use on her.
Matt was not best pleased to hear Lita bitch about him but he was more than a man to rise to the bait she had laid out for him. She wanted to make this personal but Matt would not be dragged that way. Matt was concentrating on his wrestling career now and he wanted to know who he would have to face to get a job done in WwC Revolution. Matt continued to lean over the desk staring at Lita trying to indimate her. Father James continued to sit next to his co-GM just watching the events unfold. Matt took up the opportunity to speak again as invited by Lita.

[• extreme till death ¦ MATT HARDY -- i will speak whenever the hell i want to not when a slut like you tells me too. You think you have all the power in the world sitting behind the desk with this fanged bastard who probably just bites your ass just how you like it. Matt Hardy, will run this show and there is nothing you can do about it. I can go way above your head Lita so don't send Matt Hardy the wrong way.

Lita thought this was amusing, and that Matt Hardy thought he really could overpower Lita. Lita laughed at Matt as he continued to rant and shout at the top of his voice to push Lita to the limits.

No one, has the extreme and technical assets to knock off me, Matt Hardy who is going to single handedly run this show and prove not only to you but to all the wrestling fans around the world just why i truly am the best in this business. I will prove that over the past decade of my wrestling career, i have been treated like the freshest pile of sh*t not getting anything for all my hard work and dedication to the wrestling world. Matt Hardy is here, new and improved and you can bet on that bitch. I will never back down, i will never give up and laugh all you want but I WILL NOT DIE.

Matt seemed to be infuriated now more than ever as he continued to stare through Lita who attempted to shrug off the thoughts and comments of Matt Hardy. She remained calm behind her desk as Matt finished speaking to her in his outrage once more.

It was obvious that Matt was not pleased at having no match but there was nothing that could be done about it at the current time leaving Matt with no option but to sit and wait for the announcement of next week’s Monday Night RAW card where Matt would get the so called “dreaded” match. =================================================================

After last week’s antics it was going to take something huge from the General Manager’s to improve the feelings of Matt Hardy. He was outraged at their decisions to not place him in a match last week and made his feelings heard around the world live on last week’s show after bursting into the GM’s office. Matt made his big return known and it was only a matter of time before he was getting his just desserts in the wrestling world which would culminate in Matt eventually wearing a major title belt awarding him for all his work in the wrestling industry. Matt was frustrated at his absence from the card and this upcoming week on Monday Night RAW he had been promised a match by co-General Manager Lita, who had a hidden hatred for her ex-boyfriend Matt Hardy, and she had vowed that Matt’s outrage last week was going to be a mistake. The mistake, meaning that the match that Matt Hardy got this week on Monday Night RAW would be a tough one for the never say die Matt Hardy. Matt was confident however in the run up to the next show that whoever was put in his path he would be able to overturn the odds and produce maybe one of the biggest victories of his career. The next few days would make all the questions surrounding the upcoming match come to life as the Monday Night RAW card is announced.
We are live in the backstage area of the London Arena, in the England Capital. The backstage workers are hurrying around the back preparing things for the night’s events making sure the premium brand lives up to its name. The camera is moving swiftly down the corridor until we reached a door, isolated from the other locker rooms. It had a gray plate across it with the gold names of Lita and Father James Mitchell written on it with “RAW General Managers’ Office”. The camera made its way and as it did two figures were uncovered in the room. The figure identified itself as Lita, sat behind the desk as usual. From behind the figure standing in front of Lita on the opposite side of the desk wore a black vest with tattoo like designs on its back and green pants. He had long shaggy black hair stretching just past his shoulders. The camera proceeded further unveiling the anonymous figure as Matt Hardy. There were small amounts of chatter from both members of the room but it seemed to just be part of an argument. Things soon died down with the presence of another in the room. This figure wore a red suit and also had long black hair which was accompanied by a small pointy black beard. The figure resembled images of the devil and that’s exactly what he was. Father James Mitchell, the father of darkness, and co-general manager of Monday Night RAW. He didn’t seem surprised to see Matt Hardy in their office again as it had become a habit of Matt to make an appearance on a weekly basis. The conversation seemed to change direction with the arrival of James Mitchell. Father James took a seat next to Lita before ushering Matt Hardy into taking a seat on the opposite side of the desk.

[• the devil’s son ¦ FATHER JAMES MITCHELL -- ah Matt Hardy. You know who you remind me of Matthew Moore, Judas. Not my great son Judas Mesias, but Judas the traitor of Jesus. Judas turned his back on those who made him and that is how you are treating my wonderful fellow general manager here. Lita made you and you should respect that.

Matt Hardy was not happy to be regarded as an imitation of Judas. Matt Hardy believed that he could have taken on James Mitchell there and then but that was not the reason for him to be in this meeting. Matt wanted to know exactly who he was facing tonight on Monday Night RAW, and he wanted his answer now.

[• extreme till death ¦ MATT HARDY -- hey James, why don’t you just shut the hell up. I don’t care how you see me cos to me you are literally the devil, well no in fact you are an ass kisser to the devil and drinking your own blood just creeps me out to be honest with ya so do me a favour do it some place else. Now Lita you promised me a match this week here in wonderful London, England and this is why I am here. I don’t care what match it is bitch, who is Matt Hardy facing here tonight?

Mitchell seemed infuriated by the comments from Matt Hardy but remained calm as Lita put out her hand stopping any movement. Lita was not happy that Matt continued to press the pair hard over this upcoming match. They had come to a conclusion but would it be changed at this stage with Matt coming on strong once more.

[• extreme till death ¦ MATT HARDY -- Lita freakin’ ANSWER ME!! I demand it. I told you last week, I say what I want to who I want, when I want to say it and this is no different. I demand that you tell me my oppone-

Matt was stopped in his tracks as Lita rose to her feet. In the blink of an eye the action had taken place. Lita had slapped Matt across the face leaving Matt more infuriated. Matt leaned forward for Lita but James Mitchell rose to his feet and protected Lita. He demanded that Matt sat down before anything was said.

[• the devil’s son ¦ FATHER JAMES MITCHELL -- matthew this is what I told you earlier. You dislike this pressure and tension do you not?? Lita and I have come to a decision about your match and I am not sure you will like it so much. You might not be best pleased with your match but that is not our fault, it is down to one of your fellow wrestlers for the match you will participate in tonight.

Matt did not know what to make of this comment from James Mitchell. To be honest, Matt seemed completely taken aback that Mitchell came out and told Matt about his match. Matt was bewildered that his match could be against a good friend or even a bad enemy but either way it changed the complexion on the night in Matt’s opinion. Matt however was still none the wiser on who his opponent would be tonight. He was about to begin before he was stopped by the raised hand of Lita. Matt was not pleased to be stopped by the woman who had just slapped him but he abided by her wants to keep things civilised.

[• raw co-general manager ¦ LITA-- woah, calm down there Matt. Just hold on for a second. Tonight, James is right, has not been our decision but the decision of someone else backstage here in this dump named London, England. Matt as you well know there is an on going rivalry between the former allies The Game Triple H and The Legend Killer Randy Orton. Now as you know last week Triple chose John Cena to take on Randy Orton and this week, to my horror, you have been chosen as Triple H’s second pick. Matt Hardy tonight you face off one-on-one with the Legend Killer Randy Orton. Good luck.

Matt could not believe that he was facing Randy Orton tonight. It was not that he was wrestling one of the best wrestlers in the industry today, but the fact that he had been hand picked and nominated to represent Triple H, a sure fire future Hall of Famer, to beat Randy Orton. John Cena had defeated Orton last week and this week was the turn of Matt Hardy. Could Matt overcome the odds?? Only time would tell us how the night would pan out. Back inside the GM’s office there was a lingering tense atmosphere and it was silent. Matt rose to his feet, already preparing for his night’s match and as he left it was Mitchell who broke the silence with an evil maniacal laugh ending the scene. =================================================================

After being told that his match tonight would be against the Legend Killer Randy Orton, the next stop on his preparation was to visit the man who put him in the match. Triple H, the Game, the Cerebral Assassin, The King of Kings had nominated Matt Hardy to represent him in the pick your poison matches pushing the feud between himself and Randy Orton. Triple H, one of the most daunting figures in the wrestling world and really the man to beat, had hand picked Matt Hardy out of the WwC Roster to take on Randy Orton here tonight. Was there a reason behind this choice or had the Game noticed the talent that had been a present for years of Matt Hardy and this was his time to shine?? The Game had made his choice and the Game was on.
The camera joins Matt Hardy making his way down the deserted corridors of the London Arena, home of tonight’s Monday Night RAW show. London was the perfect place for Matt to make a global impact on the legend killer in his attempt to make a name for himself after being ignored for the past decade in the wrestling industry. Matt continued down the corridor until he reached the final door just round a corner. He stopped outside the grey door which read “The Game Triple H. Enter – GAME ON!!” Matt took a deep breath before knocking on the door. There was no answer so Matt knocked again. With no reply once again Matt became a little annoyed and frustrated that the Game was absent at the moment. He took another deep breath before shouting trying to gain the attention of The Game Triple.

[• extreme till death ¦ MATT HARDY -- HUNTER!! HUNTER!! YOU IN THERE MAN!! I NEED TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT TONIGHT!

There was still no reply from inside the locker room so Matt took it upon himself to enter and see what was happening and to see if in fact Triple H was in his room. Matt entered the room but found it deserted. Posters filled the room with pictures of The Game destroying many people over the years and even the odd picture of some old D-Generation X memories from his time with his old buddy Shawn Michaels. Matt searched round for a while in all the rooms looking for Triple H but was unable to find him.

As Matt turned to exit the Game’s room footsteps could be heard approaching from outside in the corridor. Matt moved to the door and took a look outside to see who the figure was but it was just a backstage worker looking a little red in the face after his brisk walking. He was taken by surprise to see Matt exit from Triple H’s locker room but continued on past. He wore a name tag with the name “Ray” on it so that is what Matt Hardy called him.

[• extreme till death ¦ MATT HARDY -- hey, Ray is it?? Have you seen Triple H anywhere I need to speak to him?

Ray turned round and breathed heavily. He was obviously not very fit but was doing his job well nonetheless.

[• the big worker ¦ RAY KLASS -- no I am sorry I haven’t Matt. I’ve only seen you and the two GM’s round the back it is still pretty early y’know.

Matt looked around the close proximities and noticed the place was in fact deserted with no one else in attendance. Matt had arrived early in order to get his match for tonight which he had anticipated all night. Matt was now left with nothing to do as he awaited the arrival of Triple H into the arena. He needed to find something to prepare himself with to pass the time. Matt sent Ray on his way before walking back down the corridor towards the direction of the curtains which led out to the arena. Matt pulled back the curtains and walked out onto the stage of the London Arena, which was deserted. Matt made his way down to the ring down the ramp looking around the empty arena. London was a great place for Matt to start his new career and inside the London Arena it seemed like there was no place better to be. Once Matt was inside the ring he made his way over to the ropes and the turnbuckles and just stood and observed the arena and his surroundings that he would become even more familiar with later that night. Matt took in all that was around him and how the atmosphere would change in the lead up to RAW tonight.

Matt is now back in his locker room as he is still only one of the superstars inside the arena. Others had arrived but the man he was waiting for. Matt had receive numerous text messages in the time that was missed, many which amused Matt. He told us that the texts were from friends and family wishing him good luck tonight in his match against Randy Orton.

The show was nearing but Matt was yet to meet up with The Game Triple H. He needed to get ready for the night’s match and he prepared himself now as to save extra doing it later and affecting his mental preparation. Matt regularly protected his ankles when wrestling due to the high risk factor that is associated with the world of wrestling. Matt was not going to risk his health being damaged at such an early stage in his return. Matt taped up both ankles and even brought out the new ring attire for his return to the squared circle. New boots bought from Mexico and new ring pants just three weeks old awaiting their chance to be broken in to go on to be worn inside of a wrestling ring again. Matt new the importance of preparation in a match and he knew once he was in his wrestling attire he was in the mode of concentration and determination to make sure the night goes right. He knew the importance of a proper warm up to get himself In the right frame of mind for the following events that would take place in just over an hour’s time.

Matt knew the importance of a good preparation so we left him to continue his preparations as he prepared to take on the Legend Killer here tonight. Matt was looking forward to performing on a big stage again and the prospect of beating one of the biggest in the business lingered over Matt however he tried to push it to the back of his mind as he looked on to bigger and better things.
