Roderick Strong steamrolled right through Val Venis tonight, having the quickest victory out of any of the eight total winners tonight. Venis was totally overmatched by the former-SGW star. Roderick lights Venis' world up with a series of stiff, loud popping chops in the corner. The chops continue, forcing a little bit of blood to start trickling down Venis' chest, which is now appearing like it's terribly sun-burned. A low blow allows Venis to take a breather and hit a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Strong gets back on offense and drops Venis across his knees for a gutbuster. Venis is then locked in the Stronghold! He fights to get to the ropes, but succumbs to the pain before doing so!

Match Three: Round One
Chris Hero versus Colt Cabana

This was an awesome match as Colt Cabana is on a roll as of late, looking to get his Pure title back from Lance Storm. Chris Hero is rumored to be making one of his last appearances for LoC, so winning the LoC World Title would be ideal for him. Lots of technical, European style wrestling for the most part of the match, with both men ending up finding unique reversals for the moves and holds. The referee was distracted by Claudio Castagnoli, who slid a chair in the ring for Hero. Colt low-blows Hero, grabs the chair and sees the referee begin to turn around. Before the ref does, Colt smacks the chair against the mat and tosses it to Hero, then hits the ground. The referee sees Hero with the chair and calls for a disqualification! Colt Cabana's snuck out another victory!

Winner: Colt Cabana via Disqualification (12:51)

-[[ Chris Hero continues to argue with the referee while still holding the steel chair Colt threw at him, trying to convince the referee he had nothing to do with Colt being clocked with a chair shot. Jerry Lynn versus Super Dragon

This match was nothing short of a legitimate fight. It was a slugfest for sure. Jerry Lynn wants to get in the winning way in this company, and Super Dragon's new with nothing to lose. Bodies were flying everywhere in the arena as both men displayed their abilities to do some stuff off the top rope. Super Dragon kicks out of a cradle piledriver, leaving Jerry Lynn arguing with the referee. Dragon gets up, spins Lynn around, big lariat! CURB-STOMP! Lynn is bleeding a little bit from his mouth after that vicious move. On the top rope, Lynn has his world ruined, as Super Dragon hits the PSYCHO DRIVER FROM THE TOP ROPE! Jerry Lynn is dead, unconscious on the match. Dragon puts his foot on Lynn's chest, and is able to get the three count!

Joey Ryan displays his technical abilities during the match, leaving Conway unable to do much of anything. Conway never really was able to get a good series of offense going, as he was taken off guard by Joey Ryan's antics and ability. The finish of this short match comes as Rob Conway's planted with the Duff Drop. One, two, three, Joey Ryan advances with the easy victory!

Winner: Joey Ryan via Pin Fall (10:36)

Liger receives a large amount of streamers and applause as he's introduced to the LoC fans for the first time. Liger's making his first-appearance in America since appearing for TNA Wrestling against Petey Williams. Petey and Liger shake hands to start the match, and from there on, it was an awesome match with the action never stopping for a minute. Both men were throwing everything they had in their arsenal at one another. Petey goes for the Canadian Destroyer, but it's blocked. A brainbuster from Liger gets a two count, almost a three. Liger controls the match from here on, as Petey is still stunned from the brainbuster. Petey battles back, hitting an enziguri. He goes for the Canadian Destroyer again, it's blocked again, LIGER BOMB! One, two, three! Jushin Liger goes on to the second round!

Almost got the three count. Pearce hoists Lethal up in a Torture Rack, then drops him in a Shock Treatment! One, two, no! Lethal barely kicked out! Russo on the apron distracts Pearce, allowing Lethal to hit another Dragon Suplex. He goes up top, FLYING ELBOW DROP! One, two, three! Jay Lethal has defeated Adam Pearce!

Winner: Jay Lethal via Pin Fall (21:04)

-[[ A version of "Pomp and Circumstance" plays as Jay Lethal spins around the ring with his right finger pointing to the skies. SoCal Val enters the ring and claps for Lethal, who looks mad she's out there. He yells at her to go to the back and cover her revealing top up so that everyone else doesn't see SoCal Val's assets. Vince Russo raises Lethal's hand in victory as the fans pop for him, surprisingly. Tonight was an explosive night of action here in Mexico, but tomorrow night's when the real competition begins.
