X. The Amen Corner: The Mirror Stage 6

Is it time...?

...Yes it is. Mutiny is only a few short days away....so yes....it is time.

Just to clarify things...it’s time for what?

It’s time for me to get what I’ve been after for the past three months. It’s time for me to go ahead and win the Canadian Championship.

You think you’re ready?

Ready as in....?

Well...you being ready for the match, of course. What else could you be ready for?

Being the Canadian Champion.....Defending the title against all challengers, and showing everyone why I am th best technical wrestler in the XWF. Forgetting about all of the Hardcore, or “Xtreme”, rules that most men have made their names off of. I’m ready to show everyone that I am the best in ring. Not for how hard I could swing a chair, but for how fast I can take you down without even blinking with pure mat skills.

Ok...that’s interesting. It’s good to know that you still feel that way.

I always have, and I always will.

Great...that’s very good Terry. But their’s only one problem....

....That is?

You have to win the Canadian Championship first.....

Heh...yea, I guess you’re right about that.

No shit. You’re basically looking way ahead towards the future. Think about what’s going to go down this Sunday. So let me go back to my first question. Do you think you’re ready, for this match?

Oh man, I’m more than ready for this match. After I came up short in my previous matches, very short, I pretty much know what I should do, and I know what I shouldn’t do.

So, tell me one of the things that you shouldn’t do.

Hm....I shouldn’t take this match lightly. That much is all I can say right now.

And you have taken the other matches lightly before?

Mega Massacre I didn’t, but at Bad Medicine I definitely did.

You didn’t take the match at Bad Medicine seriously? What the fuck!?

I know, I know. It was very stupid on my part. I got cocky.

Please explain this to me....please.

I know it may have seemed that I was taking the match seriously, between Centurion, Drake Komodo, and myself, but I just didn’t really think that it would’ve been fair.

It wouldn’t have been....what!? You fucking idiot! You were in the ring with Centurion and Drake Komodo. Both men who really wanted to walk out of the ring as the winner, which Drake did....

Correction....it was a draw and I was the only man standing.

Either way, are you the Canadian Champion now?

No...

My point exactly! It wouldn’t have been fair? To who?

Centurion....before you interject, I’ll just say that at the time, Cent wasn’t really in the best of shape, nor in the right frame of mind, going into the match. I took it easy because I didn’t want to go in and dominate the match to make it seem as if Centurion didn’t have what it took to be in the ring anymore against a young guy like me. I did it out of respect.

No...it was out of pity, and that’s not cool. Surely if you were to tell Centurion this to his face he wouldn’t like it one bit.

I’m sure he wouldn’t. That’s why I was never going to tell him. It was going to keep it inside until I was ready to let it out.

Well...I am a part of you, so I guess this is good enough.

Exactly....

So what about Drake? You took it easy on him.

No not at all...in the beginning of the match I should say. Thus why he had the upper hand, because he obviously wanted to win the match. He didn’t, and he didn’t even want the Canadian Championship in first place. It just made me wonder why he wanted to fight so hard for it.

Neither did you.

Oh no....don’t get it confused. I fought hard in that match. I just didn’t fight as hard as I should have. Out of the “pity” that I had for Centurion, and the dislike that Drake had for the belt itself, felt no need that I should have. Which was my mistake, a big mistake. Cent got back on his feet, and is in the main event at Mutiny, while Drake continued to boast about how he was better than me. So I guess now we both really know how great he really is, since he wasn’t truly the man on top in that match. So I know that I shouldn’t take this match lightly. Doing that might result in me coming up short for the third time in a row. And I can’t have that, especially against Chad.

So you know what you should do then.

I most certainly do.

That is?
To beat the crap out of Chad.

Beat the crap out of Chad? I thought you were looking forward to being a champion where doing all of that Hardcore stuff wasn’t going to be necessary.

I don’t have to do anything Hardcore, or Xtreme, to beat the crap out of Chad. How did you come up with that assumption?

Well....in the mind of Maximus....our mind, beating the crap out of someone usually means that you’re going to beat them to a bloody pulp. Using any weapon in site to get the job done.

No... my hands will do just fine. Unfortunately for him, our match is actually an Xtreme based match.

Really? What kind of match is it?

Shark Tank....

Shark Tank....that’s great. I’m sure you were pretty satisfied about this when you heard about it.

No...I really wasn’t. I would’ve preferred just a regular singles match. Maybe another Iron Man match, or maybe even a two out of three falls. But I got this instead. Take what you can get.....I guess.

So...you’re going to have to end up winning a match, that’s in the area that which you don’t even agree with, in order to end up doing things your way?

Basically......

That’s great.

That’s fucking lame, and I don’t like it. Just as much as Drake liked holding the Canadian title, I have the same equal amount of feelings going into this match.....this kind of match.

So what, you’re going take this match lightly as result of you not liking the match at all?

Did I say that?

No...

Alright then, don’t worry I’m still going to go into the ring and give more than I have ever given the last two times I have had a shot at the Canadian championship. I just hope that Chad is going to be able to handle what I’m going to dish out.

Don’t think he can?

No...Surely when Centurion was in the 30 minute Iron Man match, he wasn’t really at his best. Regardless of it all, he managed to take a lot of crucial bumps. And he at least managed to get one pinfall. But Chad....he’s nowhere near Centurions level. Surely Chad might be only person who can deal with these kind of matches, better than any man in the XWF right now. The fact of the matter is when it comes down to being a true athletic with impeccable skills that can bring people to the masses, Chad doesn’t even come close to the likes of Centurion or myself.

He’s a veteran, is he not?

Yes he is. But what does that have to do with anything?

Come on Terry....you and I both have the basic idea about Chad’s legacy. He’‘s basically the master of the same Xtreme base matches that you strongly dislike. Surely he has a higher tolerance for pain than you and Centurion combined.

I’m sure he does, but we won’t know until the match actually happens. My style of wrestling is different from everyone else’s. I don’t know what Chad thinks he’s going to be getting in this match, but I know it’s going to be of the norm that he’s use to getting from guys who would prefer to wrestle in regular match.

Always separating yourself from the ordinary.....

Always, Chad might look at me as one of the ordinary ones who have surpassed him the past. The ones who most likely ran through him, so that they could make it to the top. Then you have guys like Rage, Big Shank, who most definitely are going above an beyond, and maybe even Grappling Gary will fly past him soon. But I view those men as just ordinary wrestlers, who have made their marks, and plan moving ahead in the future. I’m sure Chad did this as well, but then again when you’re just ordinary, with a large margin of mediocrity combine with it, you tend to fall within the shuffle. And for one, I’m far from mediocre, so being one out of the few unique pieces of talent that is currently employed by the XWF, I pretty damn sure that I’m nowhere near the category of being just apart of the ordinary. Chad will be forced to accept this after I’m done with him.

Well, I guess you’re right. You lost the match at Mega Massacre.

Yet I wasn’t pinned, and I was still standing.

Then you came up short again at Bad Medicine.

It was a Draw, I got the last pin, and I was still the only man standing.

So I guess we can go with the old saying, the Third Time’s a Charm.......

Yes Max....you’re right, the third time most definitely is a charm. And it will.....oh trust me, it will be.

So go down to Charlotte and win what you rightfully feel should be yours.

That’s what I plan on doing. The great thing is, there’s no one there who can stop me from doing it.

With that said, a tall figure can now be seen standing in the dark. As this figure begins to come into the light, the man known as Terry Mortale, XWF superstar Maximus, can be seen walking out of the darkness and into the light. Maximus leaves the location, and begins to wonder about. In the room itself lies an old wooden chair, and standing in front of it, a tall mirror. With the chair just sitting there, staring at it’s own reflection.

XI. Third Time’s a Charm

***Flashback***

September 16, 1995
3: 47 PM
Middle Village, Queens, NY

The scene opens to a busy street in the middle of the afternoon. There are cars, buses, and taxi’s caught in the middle of traffic. It’s in the middle of the afternoon, so the city itself is getting hit with the afternoon rush hour. The street is filled with people walking and running up and down the street. Trying catch either a bus or a taxi. On the streets there are pillars that are holding up the New York City subway trains. The trains are running, traveling to the stops where the tracks are set to take them. Making the loudest noise above all of the loud honking from the domestic cars, taxi’s and buses. The noise is also being polluted with noise from taxi cab driver yelling at pedestrians and other car drivers, as well as people having normal conversation with each other. The only thing that’s really standing out in the crowd of this afternoon rush is the flood of High School students walking around in the streets. The primary source to all of the noise and ruckus on the streets. Some teens are walking around the streets soliciting in the pizza shops and bodegas (small convenience stores), that are pilled up on every corner. While some teens are running to catch the buses that will take them home, or running upstairs to the subway platforms, in order to catch their train rides home.

Obviously school has just ended for the day, and all of the kids from different are meeting up on this busy street in order to get home. This is the only time of the day where kids from different schools meet up. So that means that the kids from the private schools and the public schools are mingling amongst the crowd. The kids from the private schools are wearing their catholic school uniforms. While the kids from the public schools are wearing their casual clothing. The private school students look more sophisticated than the public school kids. The private school kids are more well dressed, and well mannered. The private school students have a much more upper-middle class look to them, showing no signs of being intimidating nor a threat to anyone. While the public school kids have more of an urban look to them, posing a threat to all those who surround them. As they sport the latest fashion designer clothes, but with their own twist to it. They obviously are segregating themselves from each other, in order to avoid conflict. Each and every group of kids are clinging together as whole. The Black kids from the public schools are together, as well as the very few Black kids from the private schools. The Caucasian kids from the private schools, who seem more up tight than everyone, are sticking together, while the Caucasian kids from the public schools, who are uptight also, are sticking in their groups. The Latinos, who all go to the public schools, are hanging out amongst themselves as well. This day was no different from the rest, as everyone from the different schools and different races, have separated themselves from each other.

These kids are just doing what they do every other day. Some are hanging out at the pizza shop, some are at the bodegas, and the Chinese food restaurants. While the rest are waiting to get on the buses to go home, or running up to platform to catch the subway trains. But there is someone who is not doing any of this. You can now see a tall person walking down the stairs of the subway station, heading town towards the street. It’s a teenage Caucasian male, with very long hair, and brown eyes. He’s wearing a black Cannibal Corpse t-shirt, with blue jeans, and black sneakers. He has very little facial hair, and has a trim, yet cut, body. This person is none other than 16 year old Terry Mortale, future XWF superstar known as Maximus. Young Maximus continues to walk down the steps, and unto the street where all of the kids from the different schools are still enjoying their own conversations, not paying attention to Maximus. He looks rather satisfied with this, and keeps walking as if everything is okay. Then all of a sudden, someone calls out to Maximus in a very brash tone.

???: Yo Terry! Come here you fucking moolie!

Maximus keeps walking, pretending as if he never heard anyone call his name. That same person calls out Maximus’s name again.

???: Yo Terry I’m fucking calling you!

Maximus keeps walking, ignoring the person calling his name.

???: Yo Marcus, let’s get this fucking douchebag.

Then all of a sudden, a loud rumble of foots steps come running after Maximus. Two people come running up against Maximus, as if they mean business.

???: Yo Terry, you didn’t hear me calling you!?

Then the person grabs Maximus on his left shoulder. Maximus then turns around and.....

*Whack*

Right in the persons jaw. Maximus then turns around to see two identical twins. One holding his jaw, while the other is in shock.

???: Terry, what the hell did you do that for!? He’s yo brotha!

It is in fact Maximus’s older twin brothers. Anthony and Marcus. Apparently Maximus just gave a hard right hand to Anthony’s jaw. Who’s still holding his jaw in pain.

Marcus: We just wanted to come and talk you little bro. You didn’t have to go and hit Ant like that!

Maximus: You shouldn’t be calling out obscenities to me in the middle of the fucking street.

Maximus’s voice isn’t as slightly as deep as it is now. But it’s still rasp and deep for a sixteen year old.

Marcus: Like yo man.....he’s yo brotha.

Maximus: Shut the fuck up Marcus.

Maximus then directs his attention towards Anthony.

Maximus: Hey, Ant....sorry about that. You both should know better than to come behind me like that.

Anthony then get’s up from off of the floor, still holding his jaw.

Anthony: That fucking hurt man....

Maximus Yea I’m sor-

Anthony: No man, that’s fucked up. I’m your brother. You can’t just go around hitting your brother in the middle of the street.

Maximus: Alright dude, I said I’m sor-

Anthony: No fuck that!

Maximus get’s frustrated.

Maximus: Hey! Shut the fuck up! I’m trying to apologize, you dumb fuck!

With those words said, mostly everyone in the entire street looks over across the street and begins paying attention to the three of them. Marcus then speaks up towards the nosey people.

Marcus: Hey! There’s nothing to see here! Go back and do whatever it was that you were doing! Thank you!

With that said, everyone then turns around and begins continue to do what they were doing without hesitation. It seems that some people looked intimidated by Marcus. Marcus then turns his attention towards Maximus.

Marcus: What the fuck is your problem, huh? Wanna walk down the street, ignore your brothers, wear that ridiculous shirt, and then have the nerve to knock your own brother out. What gives?

Maximus: Eh...maybe you idiots shouldn’t go around calling my name like you own me. You know I don’t like these kids around here. All you guys sound the same with your annoying accents, so I don’t know who’s calling my name.

Marcus: TJ, we’re your family. Not just me and Anthony, but everyone that lives in Middle Village. Those blacks and Latinos go back to their own neighborhoods. So everyone here is your family TJ.

Maximus: Please don’t call me that.

Marcus: What? You don’t like your name all of a sudden? What’s wrong with this guy Ant?

Marcus then looks towards Anthony, who’s now rubbing his jaw.

Anthony: I don’t know man. But you fucking hit hard TJ. I hope they teach you nerds on how to use steroids at that school.

Maximus: No....it was just pure strength, that went straight to your fucking jaw, dick head.

Marcus: Whoa, TJ. Why in the hell do you treat us so bad? What have we ever done to you?

Maximus: You exist in my life. Now why the fuck are you two coming at me right now in the middle of the street when we actually live in the same house? Plus you assholes aren’t the sweetest big brothers in the world either. So it’s pretty obvious that you guys want something from me.

Marcus: No TJ, that’s not the why we want to talk to you.

Maximus: Then what do you want. I have shit to do.

Anthony: Do homework or rob those Jewish kids in North Forest Park?

Both Marcus and Anthony then begin to start laughing. Maximus on the other hand, doesn’t.

Maximus: Both....

They both begin to slowly stop laughing. Then they both get serious again. Now Marcus and Anthony get closer, and begin to talk lower towards Maximus.

Marcus: Alright now TJ seriously. We just got word from Andre in prison. He knows a guy who can set us up with a good deal you know.

Anthony: Yea, we talking yay-yo getting shipped from Columbia bro. All we need is a third man right next to us who that we can talk to this guy. We all each get a cut, and all we have to do is sell it.

Maximus: No.....

Marcus: Come TJ, why not? Andre got us this deal. Our own brother. He did this for us.

Maximus: For us?

Anthony: Yea, for us bro.

Maximus: Seriously?

Marcus: Yea, just us brothers selling our own shit. Making our own money. While everyone is out here robbing people.

Anthony: Like you TJ....

Marcus: We can go out and start selling our own yay, making more money than all of these other idiots out here.

Anthony: Like you TJ....

Maximus then starts laughing. Then he grins and begins to shake his head.

Marcus: What’s so funny?

Maximus: You two are out of your fucking minds.

Anthony: What do you mean?

Maximus: I’m not doing this shit. You two are stupid enough to get connected through our dumbass brother who got locked up for the same shit you two might get locked up for. I’m not doing it. You two can go fuck yourselves.

Marcus: TJ, don’t be a pussy. Just do it man.

Maximus: Fuck you, I’m not doing this shit. I have other shit to do.

Anthony: Like what!? Rob people?

Maximus: No, I just do that for fun. Dealing drugs just isn’t for me. And for you two to try to pass it on to your younger brother, is just fucking pathetic. Like I said, go fuck yourselves, and tell Andre that he can go fuck himself too. I’ll see you dumbasses later.

Maximus then begins to walk off and leaving both Marcus and Anthony bewildered. Maximus begins walking up the busy streets. Bum-rushing his way through small crowds of people. After walking at a face pace for nearly three blocks, Maximus finally stops at a “Don’t Walk” signal. Then all of a sudden Maximus feels a light tap on his shoulder, but he ignores it. The person taps his shoulder again, but this time Maximus shrugs his shoulders away. Then all of a sudden a females voice his heard.

???: Excuse me. Are you Terry?

Maximus doesn’t turn around to greet young woman behind him that’s tapping his shoulder.

Maximus: Yes I am.

???: Really, Terry Mortale? That tall, cute, and mysterious boy that all the girls use to go crazy for?

Maximus still doesn’t turn around.

Maximus: Sorry....wrong Terry.

???: Oh my gosh, could you at least turn around.

Maximus: No...

???: Estupido culo....

Maximus then suddenly begins to turn around. He begins to mouths a couple of words in the process.

Maximus: What the fuck did you just say to.....

Maximus then comes full circle. He’s amazed by what’s in front of him. He see’s a very attractive teen-age girl. She looks roughly around the same age as him, she has long black hair, supple lips, smooth tan skin, light brown eyes, curvy figure, and straight white teeth with a beautiful smile. She’s wearing a catholic school uniform.

Maximus: Whoa....

???: Hi, you don’t remember me?

Maximus: No....I don’t...who...?

Maximus is lost for words. He so stunned by her beauty that he wouldn’t imagine a girl like this ever talking to him.

???: Come on Terry, don’t act like you never met me before.

Maximus: Listen...lady, whoever you are. You must have the wrong Terry, because I definitely don’t remember you at all.

???: The how come I knew your last name genius. I obviously know you.

Maximus: I’m glad you do, because you’re going to be screaming it later.

???: Excuse me?

Maximus then slaps himself on the forehead.

Maximus: Fuck...I’m sorry.. I’m terrible at this.......um.....whatever your name is.....

???: I really thought you were the smartest person back then....it’s Jasmine Santiago idiot!

Maximus: Jasmine?......Jasmine Sant....sorry no.

Jasmine: Are you serious?

Maximus starts to chuckle a little bit, and does his usual grin. Jasmine notices this and playfully slaps him on the arm. The then both hug each other for a few seconds. Then they let go, talking and smiling with each other.

Jasmine: I knew you were playing around.

Maximus: Yea, and I fooled you.

Jasmine: You fucking idiot, you still act the same. Always trying to play jokes on people.

Maximus: Well....on you. Just on you.

Jasmine: Maybe I should feel special.

Maximus: You are....

Jasmine then starts blushing very hard, and starts looking down at her feet.

Jasmine: So...um....looks like you’re doing fine.

Maximus: You can look up and talk to me you know. I’m not exactly a stranger.

Jasmine: No that’s okay. I’ll just continue to be smitten by your words.

Jasmine continues to look down and blush. Maximus however, has a pleasant grin on his face.

Maximus : How long has it been?

Jasmine is still looking down on at the floor blushing.

Jasmine: About two years....I think.

Maximus: You think?

Jasmine: Yea....

Maximus then takes his hand and gently lifts Jasmines face up to meet his.

Maximus: That’s better, let me see that pretty face.

Jasmine: Stop it Terry....

Maximus: Stop what? Don’t answer that, so obviously you’re going to Christ the King High School with all the rest of the these stuck up, preppy kids.

Jasmine: Yea, so? At least I’m getting a better education.

Maximus: To hell with an education. Besides, with all that money that your parents are paying for you to go that crappy school, it still doesn’t mean you’re smarter than me.

Jasmine: First of all sweetie, I got a full scholarship. That just shows you how smart I am. And which do you go to? The one with the highest drop-out rates?

Maximus: Yea...Brooklyn Tech really does have a lot dumb kids who just can’t do the work.

Jasmine: Brooklyn Tech....hm. Not impressed.

Maximus: Yea, whatever. Be impressed by whatever it is you want to be impressed by.

Jasmine: I will....

They both stand there and smile at each other for a few seconds.

Maximus: So let’s skip all of this crap about school. How the hell did you even recognize me?

Jasmine: Well, I saw you talking to your brothers across the street. I actually see them everyday. Then I really knew it was you when you started yelling at them. You still have the same bitch voice when you get angry.

Maximus: Fuck you too lady....

Jasmine starts laughing.

Jasmine: You know I’m just playing with you TJ.

Maximus: Don’t call me that. You know I don’t like it when people call me TJ. Just as much you didn’t like me back when we were in school together.

Then a sudden look of perplexity comes across Jasmines face.

Jasmine: What do you mean I didn’t like you? I always liked you.

Maximus: Yea....as a friend. Really, that’s fucking gay.

Jasmine: Really...I did see as just a friend. But really, I was 14, I didn’t know what I was thinking. It’s not like you really asked me out anyway.

Maximus: Two times to be exact. Once in the beginning of 6th grade, and then right before graduation. I got the same bullshit answers.

Jasmine: Oh.....

Maximus: Oh...what?

Jasmine: Well it was just that, I didn’t want to be with someone who I was already a “friend” to me. I wanted a boyfriend.

Maximus then slaps his hand on his forehead, puts his head down, and then closes his eyes.

Maximus: Oh my gosh....my head hurts.

Jasmine: Why?

Maximus then opens his eyes again.

Maximus: Because of the stupid thing you just said. It’s called boyfriend for a reason. We’re friends first before anything really happens, and we get to know each other before you find out 6 months later that the person you’re with just isn’t your type.

Jasmine: Well...maybe you just weren’t my type back then.

Maximus: Hm...figured. I’ll see you around Jasmine.

Maximus then begins to walk away from her, but she grabs onto him before he get’s away fast enough.

Jasmine: Come on Terry. You are the kind of guy that I would love to be with. It’s just that back then it seemed as if you were more focused with just hanging around with your friends, having fun, and joking around all of the time. I always knew deep down you were a smart, caring, and loving person. Something that a lot of these guys really aren’t nowadays.

Maximus: If you knew it, then why did you turn me down then?

Jasmine: The first time I just knew that you’re mind was more focused on getting any girl you could find. Just so that you could show off to your friends. The second time it was because I just didn’t feel like being in a relationship with anyone. It just wasn’t the right time.

Maximus: Regardless of the fact that we were still in Junior High school, we were both different from everyone else. Especially me. I just don’t know why you decided to not be with me. I always thought it was because I was white.

Jasmine: That’s definitely not the case. I never judge on color, only character. Even though you may be a little rough around the edges, you’re still a sweet guy, who deserves someone who can care for you as much as you would care for that other person.

Maximus: And you came up with that bullshit all by yourself?

Jasmine then starts laughing again. She then smiles and folds her arms, looking up into Maximus’s eyes.

Jasmine: See, that’s what I’m talking about. You’re an asshole, but a very sweet guy when you want to be. After watching you punch Anthony in the face, I know for a fact that you can take care of yourself, and me.

Maximus: Did I say I was ever going to?

Jasmine: No. You don’t have to say it at all.

Maximus: Fine then....I won’t.

Maximus and Jasmine then suddenly stand an stare at each other again, smiling at each other.

Maximus: Alright then....we’re both here just staring at each other. It’s a surprise nonetheless, so this must really mean something.

Jasmine: Maybe.

Maximus: Well then...?

Maximus then extends his hand towards Jasmine. Jasmine takes it and then they both begin to walk off together, hand-in-hand, side-by-side, right next to each other. They continue to talk and laugh as they walk together. They continue to walk down the street until they walk out of site. Both younger versions of Maximus and Jasmine Mortale have just encountered each other as just friends for the last time.....

XII. Eminences Supremacy

Ever since I started my wrestling career, I’ve been put in the ring against men of different stature’s. Each of them coming from different backgrounds, and showcasing it in it’s purest form. It was a real honor to face those men in the ring. Regardless of how mediocre they were, how great they were, how badly I defeated them, how badly they defeated me, or even how great we put on a performance together. I really truly have had a great time facing each and every last one of them. Only because it just feels go good to be in the ring going against another man. Going out to the ring and performing in front of hundreds, thousands, and even millions, it just brings me joy when I think about it. I get so overwhelmed with the joy of being in the ring, that it’s very difficult for me to restrain the tears of joy that would likely be falling from my cheeks after I kick a man down to the ground. What makes things even more remarkable is that I never thought that I would eve become a wrestler. Yet alone be a World Champion just two years into my career. Being blessed with such skills is truly an honor, and regardless of the bashing that I throw at the XWF, I still love this place. Especially in the past three months that I’ve been here. I have had well performing matches coming right after the other. Which I felt was solidifying my case as being a great performer in the ring. Even though some of the people in the ring I was going against weren’t really that great, I still enjoyed my time in the ring nonetheless. Which is going to bring to the main topic of what’s going through my mind right now......Mutiny.

Mutiny is only a few short days away, and I’m booked in a match where I’m being granted a shot at the Canadian Championship for a third time. A championship belt that I have been after for the past three months. Even though I wasn’t fully happy about the results of the previous matches, even though I loved the fact that I was still able to challenge for the title, this time things will be different. The match itself is something totally out of the ordinary for me. It’s a kind of match that I wouldn’t really volunteer putting myself in, but I’m not going to put it down entirely just because I don’t like it. The Shark Tank match.....sounds interesting, and the match itself most definitely will be just that of course. There’s still a wrestling involved right? If so then the wrestling aspect of the match will take place, since I’m involved in it. This championship belt itself symbolizes the true essence of how a wrestling champion is suppose to perform in the ring. No matter what kind of match it is. So I already know that me taking part in this match will be a great one. I’ll explain it just so I don’t come off as being cocky. You see, me being a performer in the ring, I already have the technical prowess and in-ring psychology that will make any match I take part in a great one. Just that this match will be put on even a higher standard only because there is a lot at stake. I’ll be going into that ring on Sunday and putting in all, and more, into the ring just to show everyone that I deserve to be the Canadian Champion, and that I deserve to be respected as a true athlete in the XWF. Not only is the Canadian Championship is at stake, but also my pride. Even though my pride can never be hurt by any man all by himself, by the things that are caused by a man can hurt it. Like losing for instance. Every time I lose a match, I feel that I have let myself down. I feel as if I didn’t put in enough effort in order to win, and gain what it was that I wanted. Now, this has happened to me twice already. I’ve lost my opportunities to become the Canadian Champion due to the lack of my awareness of what was going on around me, and it’s a very simple mistake that I could have easily corrected. So even though how small it might sound right now, my pride was still hurt by it. After not being able to win two times in row really brought a sharp pain to my pride, which still hasn’t healed to this day. Just when you think that you have it all planned out, when you think that you have it all going for yourself, something just comes along and stops you dead in your tracks. And coming up short to become the Canadian Champion has definitely done that. Now this is my third time challenging for the title, in a Shark Tank match. Now that I’m more aware of what’s to come, or what could happen, how difficult could it be this time?

Really, I can’t give a straight answer on that. The reason why, is because I’m facing a man who in fact was the Canadian Champion at one point in his career, and this man most definitely has an inclination to be in the kind of match that the Shark Tank match is categorized in. That man is Chad, or Cereal Killer, Chad Killer, or just a simplified douchebag. Whatever you want to call him. He’s the man that I will be facing in my third attempt to become the Canadian Champion. Now this is my first time facing Chad in a one on one match, as to all of the years that he and I have both been in and out of the XWF. I never thought that this day was to come, as to the fact that he and I never had urge to face each other in the ring to begin with. Then again, this is the XWF. Who ever you get booked to face, no matter who it is, you’re just going to have to roll with the punches. And I literally mean this when it comes to Chad. Basically this man has built up his name to be more based around the Xtreme portions of the XWF. He did it very well I should say. Holding the Xtreme championship numerous times, and still going in week in and week out participating in brutal matches. That should strike some kind of intimidation right? Wrong. Even though Chad has made his name off of that kind of bullshit, it doesn’t really mean much when it comes to facing me. Chad and I have two totally different styles of wrestling. In which I feel mine is better, and will most definitely get me further with my career than his own. Surely Chad and I have been around for a while, and sure, we’ve both been in and out of the company numerous times. The difference between he and I is that, he’s actually stayed for longer durations, and has had many more opportunities to go on and become a World Champion. Why isn’t he there now? Basically because when you go ahead and try branch out from your own particular style, which you were great at, trying to get the hang of what’s out of the ordinary to you can be a hassle. And I’m assuming that Chad just could not catch a single grasp of what it took to grab the reins and make it further than what he still is to this very day.

And I’m the one who supposedly is going to be the returning loser. Yea, surely those other runs that I had weren’t that great. But this time, I know for a fact that I have been doing my best. Just take a quick look as to what I have done since I came back in late April. And I literally mean quick, but still, let’s just take a look. I managed to win the Hart Championship in just one month, grabbed the attention of a Legend like Lee Stone who saw the great potential that posses and joined his legendary stable. Had a great match with Centurion and Drake Komodo, which basically was one of the greatest matches of the event that night, and I just so happen to cause some controversy by stating what’s on my mind. I’ve managed to piss of the likes of Raziel, Sam Hain, and even you Chad. Apparently you don’t really like me very much, which is fine because you’re a piece of shit yourself. Even if it isn’t that much to you Chad, it’s still means something to me, and really that’s the only thing that matters. I have certainly done more with my return than you have. What have you managed to do Chad? Who have you beaten? And how titles have you won and then had to drop because there was going to be no one good enough to face you for it? I don’t really think you’ll be able to answer that. So let me answer it for you. All you’ve manage to do was waste time, piss people off when the cameras were off, beat up wrestlers who are just above the Impact level, and continuously lose to stars who are better than you. Now tell me, who’s the returning loser now? It certainly isn’t me, and as fair as I’m concerned, it will never be me again. You on the other hand Chad, I’m guessing you’ve been a returning loser just about every time you came back, because of right now, you are living proof of my assumptions right now.

Sure, you might have been able to defeat Brian Cady a few weeks ago, but really Chad, that doesn’t really mean a thing to me. You defeated a guy who only won the Hart Championship once in his entire career, and he has yet to make up for it with anything else. I’m sure you are proud of that little accomplishment, then again you’re proud of all of the other people that you have defeated. You say that you’ve defeated great names such as Jem Williams, Centurion, and Trent Gein. Basically Chad, look at all of the people that you said that you have defeated. You have defeated them maybe once, twice, maybe even three times you in your career, but have you ever got to where they are now? I don’t really think so, because you haven’t had any epic battles with jem Williams in order to become the Universal Champion, nor have you done so against Trent Gein. And your certainly not anywhere near being considered a legend, as to what Centurion is right now. You Chad, are basically pathetic. I can honestly say that, and I will most definitely prove it once we get inside of that ring on Sunday. It’s great that you feel that you’re still as good as you were back then, because you have nothing to show for it now. Yes, you won the Xtreme Championship 8 times, big fucking whoop. I won the Hart Championship 3 times, and I the last two times I had the belt, I never lost it. Does anyone else care? Of course not! Only because the Hart Championship is nowhere near prestigious as the World Championship. And if the Hart Championship isn’t, then the Xtreme Championship isn’t either. I’m not putting down the Xtreme division, only because there have been some people who do well in the division, make names for themselves, and then moved on. Keywords Chad.....moved on. I can certainly name a few people who have won the Xtreme title and have moved on to bigger and better things, like Dynamic Dynamite, Kore, Zach Rizza, T-Money, and most recently, James Raven. No where do fit in with those names? Nowhere! Which is exactly where you have gone with your career here in the XWF.

Then again, you can say the same thing about me right. I never became the World champion. Hell, I never came close to having one single shot at it. I have taken on and defeated former World Champions, and current contenders. Does that make me special? No it doesn’t, only because I don’t have the World Championship, nor the Universal Championship, to show for it. Also, I always claim that I am the best wrestler in the XWF right now, but I have no championship belt to show for it. So I can’t go ahead and make that claim right now. After I beat you, which I will do, then I can. As I’ve already explained before, the Canadian Championship is the title where the champion proves that he is the best wrestler of the company without being the top guy in the company. I have the ability prove that I am the best wrestler in the company as the Canadian champion, as I know that I’m not ready to be the top guy in the company. In time I will be, but first I have to go through you. Now don’t get me wrong Chad, I’m not underestimating you at all. Hell, I didn’t even underestimate Hawaiian Hardhead, and even you’re at least better than him. You will most definitely give me an even more challenging match than Hardhead has given me just those few months back. If not, then I will surely be disappointed. Regardless Chad, you’re not going to be winning your third Canadian Championship on Sunday. That much I will promise you.

Surely, you have heard about my previous attempts to become the Canadian Champion. The first one, which was at Mega Massacre, I lost only because I too slow to stop the pinfall that Centurion had made. Covering Armageddon X in order for him to secure his victory. I would’ve been a little bit more satisfied if the match had went on longer than it did, and if Centurion had pinned me in after a long test of who’s skills were better, then I would’ve been better off. That wasn’t the case, I wanted a rematch, and Drake won the title, we had our match, which was a great match, that came to a Draw, yet I was the one still standing after I had taken both Centurion and Drake by myself. Now both men are better wrestlers, and performers than you. So what makes you think you will really have what it takes in order to handle me in the ring when the pressure comes on at the last few minutes of the match? Oh I know! You can handle anything, only because you have been in multiple matches that have taken a gruesome effect on your body! So your tolerance for pain and embarrassment are so far up your ass, just like Raziel’s ego! You fucking piece of shit...that really doesn’t matter at all. Not only do you sound stupid when talk about how many people that you have defeated, but you sound even more like a dumbass when you talk about the kind of matches you’ve been in as well. No one really cares about that dude. You have to look at what’s happening now, look at what’s in front, the person that’s in front of you, and getting an idea about your opponent. I have an idea about you, yet you have no clue about me whatsoever. You think it’s the greatest achievement in the world to be in all of those Hardcore matches that have made you some kind of.....I don’t know what to call you, but still you lack all of the major things that could prospect your career. Which is actual mat skills in the ring. I have it, but I can also swing a chair just as hard as you can. Since we’re getting into a match like the Shark Tank match, I will have no problem doing it. You can keep on talking about who you are, yet as you continue, you’ll just keep talking about what you’ll never become.

So I hope you’ve been listening Chad, and I hope you’ve been listening well. I’m not here to play games and I’m definitely not here to make people laugh. I’m here to be the best that this company has to offer, and I will do what I have to do in order to get there. You’re one I have go through in order to get there. So just think about this for a minute. You’re the one who actually won the Canadian Championship on two separate occasions. I however, have failed to win the Canadian Championship on two occasions. I’m extremely ambitious, and determined to win what I have been yearning to grasp ever since I returned just a month ago. You however, just want something to hold onto to look cool in front of the big boys. So who do you think wants to win this match more, me or you? Better yet, who do you think needs to win this title, who’s more deserving to be the Canadian Champion? I’m sure that everyone, including myself, all know that it should be, and it will be me. So stop me if you can Chad, because for all I know, I can’t be stopped, and I won’t be, until I get the job done. So regardless is I win or lose Chad, I have reached the Point of No Return.
