On The Edge of Forever

I. The Virtuoso w/ Marty Friedman

I haven’t left Japan since the July 16th edition of Massacre. I always enjoy my visits here. Even though Jasmine would prefer me to be home right now, but it doesn’t make sense to fly back and forth to America and back to Japan every single week for the rest of the month. She understands that now. It get’s even worse for her, because she can’t get up and nag about it. It’s lucky she has me for a husband to show her how to be more logical, rather than irrational. All women are like that, but hey, that’s the way how God made them. And God made me out to be a loner. Well, not a total and complete loner. I just enjoy being alone from time to time. Ever since Justin retired from wrestling, I had no one to hang out with while I continued to go ahead with my wrestling career. I’ve been to Japan many times in my career, with Justin when we were in the AWF, UHWF, and the IWF. When I came here alone for the first time, things were different. It was very boring, and dull without him being around. As I continued to move along, I got use to it. When I was working in those wrestling companies, I would only be in Japan to wrestle in front of hardcore Japanese wrestling fans. It was great, because these people really appreciate the men and women who come out and show what they have to offer. Me and Justin were no different. The people would be watching me work, but I never got the opportunity to watch them. The Japanese wrestlers that is. Sure I’ve met one or two guys from Japan who would come over to America and showed the American people what they had to offer. Those guys who did come over, I was never really impressed with, unfortunately. I heard that the guys over here in Japan were no joke. And that wrestling in this country was much more different than working in America. I was interested to find out more, and wanted to fully see these men with my own two eye.

That I did, when I came over to Japan, alone, for the first time ever. There was no Justin, and there was no big show that I had to look forward too. I came over and puroresu for what it truly was. Puroresu is strictly about the skills and athleticism that a wrestler is suppose to showcase in the ring. And I fell in love with it, the moment I began to watch the wrestlers perform. I so intrigued by what these men were able to do, that I decided to train with these men myself, to upgrade my skills and talent as high as it could go. That I did, and the results were magnificent. With what I gained from puroresu, added with my freestyle wrestling training, I felt as if there is no one in this world who can stop me in the ring. Ever since I came back to the XWF, no one has really been able to match my skills in the ring thus far. Sure there is potential, but I see no real threat from anyone being able to out wrestle me. Centurion might have gotten lucky back at Mega Massacre, but like I said a week later, he didn’t get over on me.

But today is a different day. I’m still here in Japan, alone, not even with the Vigilantes. I’m just here to spend some time alone and mentally preparing myself for my match at Bad Medicine. Physically, I know I’m ready for what’s to come. I made the damn challenge! How could I not be physically prepared for the match? I ‘ve been Japan since the 16th, so I have actually been training to get myself prepared for the match. Now I just need to relax, and let my mind sooth things over. It’s going to be one hell of a match between Cent, Drake, and myself. This is going to be a much more difficult, and longer, match than it was at Mega Massacre. I know that Drake and Cent are ready and very well prepared for this match. But I’m not. I need to be beyond my best shape. I’m good for now, but I need to get better. The only thing I can do right now, is to relax. It’s the only thing I really know how to do when a big match like this is only a few days away. If I get all worked up about it, I’m going to fuck up once I get in the ring. I can’t let that happen. As far as I’m concerned, I need to go into this match with a relaxed, focused, but relaxed nonetheless. In the end we will all know what my preparation was able to help me accomplish. In victory or in defeat.

Maximus can now be seen walking down a busy and crowded street in a large city environment. Everyone around Maximus is moving as if they are all in a rush. Making sure that they get to their destinations on time. Maximus, however, is not in a rush. He continues to walk at a normal pace, and watches everyone around move at their speed. Looking around at everyone, Maximus then begins to talk amongst himself.

Maximus: Man, I really forgot what it’s like around here. This place rival the busy streets of Manhattan.

Maximus then stops at a corner, standing in front of a street light. Maximus looks over to his left and sees a bunch of Japanese schools girls giggling amongst each other. Maximus then turns his head, and silently laughing at the same time, and turns his head back to the street light. All of the people are still waiting for the light to change to green, and while doing do, Maximus turns his head over to the right. He then looks over and sees something out of the ordinary. It’s a man, an American man, with long curly hair. Maximus get’s taken aback once he sees this man standing on the other side of the road, because he looks very familiar. The American man on the other hand, has not noticed Maximus. Instead this person is listening to music through his headphones, and has a guitar gig bag on his back. The street light on Maximus’s side of the street has turned green, and the people around him being to walk across the street. Maximus, however, stays put as he continues to watch the American man that he has laid his eyes upon.

Maximus: It can’t be.....

Maximus whispers to himself. The busy Japanese people, dress in business suits, walk past Maximus. Brushing his shoulders as they walk by him. Since all of the people are smaller than he is, in height and weight, Maximus doesn’t even budge as they knock against his shoulders. Maximus’s eyes are strictly fixated on the American man across the street. Maximus then walks over to the street light going towards the American man. As the man himself is still standing in the street, listening to music on his headphones. The light then turns green, and the man begins to walk across the street, and so does Maximus. As they both walk into the middle of the street, and in heavy traffic, miraculously, both Maximus and the man are walking face to face with each other. The man tries to avoid Maximus, thus trying to do a small side step. The man fails to do this, due to all of the people in his way. Maximus then slightly holds his right hand up to stop this man from moving. The man then looks at Maximus, and Maximus begins to talk.

Maximus: Marty Friedman? Are you Marty Friedman?

The Man apparently doesn’t respond to Maximus right away. He just looks at Maximus with confusion. Maximus continues to speak again.

Maximus: Dude are you Marty Friedman?

The Man continues to stare at Maximus. Then he takes off his headphones, and begins to speak himself.

Man: Excuse me? I’m sorry I couldn’t hear you.

Maximus now get’s a better look at the man, and knows exactly who he’s looking at right now.

Maximus: Dude, your Marty Friedman!

Marty: Yea that’s me. Let me guess, you’re an old school Megadeth fan right?

Maximus: Most definitely, but I’m more a Cacophony fan really.

Marty Friedman looks amused by this. He begins to smirk at Maximus. Even though they don’t realize it, all of the people who were walking across the street are gone. They are the only two men standing in the middle of the road and then......

*HONK!!*

A Cab driver honks the horn at Maximus and Marty. Both of them get startled, and they both look at the Cab driver who’s honking the horn at them.

Japanese Cab Driver: Hey! Stoopid Merican! Get off road now!!

Marty: Sorry about that!

Maximus and Marty then walk out of the street and to the side where Maximus was once standing before. Maximus then looks over to Marty and whispers.

Maximus: I forgot that they know how to speak English over here.

Marty: Even I was surprised as to how fluent they are. Especially the cab drivers.

Marty then looks at Maximus even closer and to get a better look at him. Before Marty can say anything, Maximus begins to speak.

Maximus: Man it’s really great to finally see you dude. Here I am, standing right in front of the great Marty Friedman himself. I heard that you were over here in Japan but I wasn’t expecting to see you while I’m here as well.

Marty: Dude.....

Maximus: What?

Marty: Aren’t you Maximus from the XWF?

Maximus: Are you one of the greatest guitarist of all time? Who played with the Megadeth for nearly ten years?

Marty: Maybe I am, if you’re the great wrestler who won the XWF Hart Championship last month at Zero Tolerance.

Maximus: That I am.......

Marty then becomes excited as Maximus confirms this.

Marty: Man! This is great dude! I get to see an XWF star up front before the Bad Medicine!

Maximus then gives a confused look.

Maximus: You’re excited? I’ve been dying to meet you ever since I listened to Cacophony’s “Speed Metal Symphony”.

Marty: Wow, that long? That album was long ago dude. It was great and all, but it was a long time ago.

Maximus: Hey, greatness never dies man.

Marty: Speak for yourself dude, look how many times you left and came back to the XWF. You get better and better every time.

Maximus: You actually keep up with the XWF? You know how many people walk in and out of that company?

Marty: Many....I know, but it’s always worth it in the end though. It’s really great to finally meet an XWF star.

Maximus: It’s more than an honor to actually meet you bro.

Maximus and Marty then look at each other, as they are both still star struck at the moment. The busy Japanese people are still bustling past Maximus and Marty like there’s no tomorrow. They both ignore the people, then Maximus snaps back into reality and begins to talk again.

Maximus: Well, anyway man. It was great to finally meet you. This was an unexpected surprise. I have to get going now, I have some preparation to do.

Maximus begins to walk off, but Marty stops him.

Marty: Whoa man, don’t be so quick to leave. I was on my way to do a clinic, but if I continue to move on I’m going to be very early. I have some time to spare, don’t you?

Maximus: Well......not really. Just been walking around since the morning time. Don’t see much around here for me to do.

Marty: Great, let’s grab some sushi.

Maximus: Nah, that shit is disgusting. I’m more of a Sake kind of guy.

Marty then starts to laugh.

Marty: Alright then. I know a great spot where we can go to. Let’s go man.

Maximus and Marty begin to walk away from the busy streets and the crowded people. They continue talking as they continue walking. Walking through the crowded people, as they go ahead and enjoy the rest of their day.

Whoa...I was not expecting this to happen. Marty fucking Friedman! Incase some of you don’t know who he is, allow me to bring you up to speed. Marty Friedman is an American musician. He’s a guitarist who is most famously for playing for thrash metal band Megadeth. Marty also played in a very good metal band called Cacophony in the late 80's. They weren’t as popular as Megadeth, but they are respected amongst true heavy metal fans, like myself. Marty Friedman has played on seven consecutive Megadeth albums for the 1990's. He is regarded as one of the greatest guitar players of all time. Especially in the metal genre. He’s currently living in Japan and he continue to be a great musician. He does a lot of session work and does a lot of clinics around the world. If you would have told an 11 year old Terry Mortale that he was going to one day meet the great Marty Friedman in the flesh in the middle of a busy Japanese street, then that 11 year old would’ve shit his pants right there on site. To top it all off, we are about to hang out and have a couple of drinks. How fucking great is this?

I really can’t believe what’s going on right now. I’m talking to the man who I only heard do blistering shredding solos on records. Call me a mark, a queer, or whatever. This is a dream come true. The only thing I wish was that he was still playing for Megadeth right now. But oh well, can’t get everything you want. Now we’re just trying to find a bar to go ahead and have a nice time to sit back get a get a few drinks in our system......Well, my system. He has to do a clinic tonight, and playing a musical instrument when your drunk, doesn’t sound good. Trust me, I’ve been to many Megadeth concerts where Dave Mustaine was intoxicated. I wasn’t too happy about that. But I know Marty has more sense than that. I just want to lay back and have a few drinks right now.

Maximus can now be seen with Marty Friedman. Walking down a small reputable area, similar to a back alley, that is just filled with bars and clubs. Maximus and Marty are still walking and talking side by side. Then Marty brings him inside to one bar on the left side of the street. They enter into a small bar, that has a few people inside. Most of the people inside this bar are business men, who decided to go to happy hour early. Maximus and Marty are welcomed by the people as they all raise their glasses to the both of them as they make their way through the bar. Both Maximus and Marty both find seats next to the bartender. They sit down and continue to with a conversation that they were having in the street.

Marty:.......That’s why I couldn’t stay in Megadeth anymore. I just got tired of playing metal. Don’t get me wrong I love metal. But I didn’t think that I was going to be able grow as a musician if I stayed in just one genre for the rest of my life.

Maximus: I see. But you know that there were a lot of people who were very pissed off when you left. Including me.

Marty: I figured that. There are a lot of die hard Megadeth fans out there. I know they wouldn’t fully understand.

Maximus: But a lot of people did. We all gave you our best wishes, and you’re doing just fine.

Marty: That I am.

Then the bartender then walks over to where Maximus and Marty are sitting down, and gently drops two small cylindrical cups right in front of them. Marty then looks up towards the bartender and speaks in Japanese. The bartender just smiles and nods his head walks away. Then he looks back at Maximus.

Maximus: Dude, what did you say?

Marty: I just told him not to give me anything to drink. I’m not a real drinker anyway. These two cups of Sake belong to you.

Maximus: Awesome. Can you tell him to bring over half a dozen of these? And tell him to bring bigger cups too.

Marty: Not a problem, just until after you finish these two right......

Before Marty is able to finish. Maximus guzzles down the two cups of Sake one by one.

Marty:......here.

Maximus then looks at Marty very sternly.

Maximus: You can call him over now?

Marty: Wow, you’re no joke. As long you don’t get drunk on me here.

Maximus: It’s going to take 50 of these to even get me buzzed my friend.

Marty: If you say so.....

Marty then starts speaking in Japanese again. Maximus has no clue as to what he’s saying. But he looks up and sees the bartender smiling and starts pouring Sake into six flat saucer-like cups. Then the bartender comes over with the six on a tray and places them down on the table. Marty continues to speak in Japanese some more. The bartender just smiles and nods again, and walks off to serve the other people.

Maximus: Don’t worry about man, I’ll pay for this.

Maximus begins to drink his first cup. This time he drinks slowly.

Marty: Well this is great. Two men, respected for the professions that they do, just hanging out and having a good time.

Maximus: Yea, it’s very great. I really wasn’t expecting anything like this at all. I do have a question for you though. How did you get into wrestling. Usually there are a few musicians who are. But really, metal heads are the ones who are really and deeply into wrestling. I don’t mean any offense here, but you don’t really seem like the type.

Marty begins to laugh at Maximus’s remark

Marty: Why, because I’m a musician who’s really into just really into practicing until his fingers begin to bleed?

Maximus: Basically. You can’t play a great song like “Concerto” and only practice guitar for ten minutes a day.

Marty: Yea, you’re right. To answer your question, I’d have to say that I’ve always like wrestling. You know, watching it back in the 80's was just the fun to do. It was a spectacle for me. With all of the stupid gimmicks, it was really entertaining.

Maximus finished his first cup as Marty finishes speaking. Before he picks up his other cup, he continues to speak

Maximus: No, no, no. I mean how did you really get into the wrestling aspect of it.

As Marty begins to speak, Maximus begins to drink his second cup.

Marty: I don’t know dude. It just happened. I was really more into guys like “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and Mr. Perfect as oppose to Hulk Hogan. Those guys really kept my attention on the TV screen. You know, after I kept watching the big guys like Andre the Giant and Bigg John Studd wrestle, it just became boring. Then watching guys like Bret Hart, and Kerry von Erich, they were the ones who kept me going. You know?

Maximus: Yea, I understand perfectly. Those four men that you just mentioned were actually one of my main influences as a wrestler.

Maximus then finishes his second cup, and Marty begins to speak again.

Marty: I look at wrestling industry, and then I look at the musicians. Sure you have the people who are always on TV, getting all of the headlines on the magazines, all the publicity, the endorsements, and of course the most money. But when it comes down to that person actually doing what they paid to do, they aren’t really that good. Look at the hair metal bands from the 80's. Then look at Hulk Hogan.

Maximus finishes his third cup

Maximus: They are similarities there. All the people pay to see them perform, and put on a show. But anyone musician can do that.

Marty: Yes, anyone can. But are they really as good as everyone in the mainstream set them out to be?

Maximus stops drinking for a second to answer the question

Maximus: No, not at all.

Marty: Exactly.

Maximus takes another sip of the Sake and then begins to speak again.

Maximus: Where are you going with this?

Marty: You see Max, the reason why I have more respect for the puroresu wrestlers over here in Japan, and technical wrestlers like you in a America, is because you guys are all phenomenal athletes. Like just like how in music we have Virtuosos.

Maximus: Virtuoso?

Marty: Yeah, a virtuoso, is a musician who possess outstanding ability in his or her instrument. In an athletes case, it’s who ever has outstanding ability in his or her craft. And you’re fucking amazing in the ring man.

Maximus then finishes his third cup, and begins to sip on his fourth one. Then he looks at Marty and begins to speak.

Maximus: Well, we don’t have any names for wrestlers who posses’s great skills beyond the average wrestler. Who they might be, they are just simply great.

Marty: Right that’s what I’m saying. I mean watching guys like Lee Stone, Boondock Saint, Centurion, Aidan Collins, Jem Williams, even Brad Pierce. Watching them work in the ring, displaying there abilities as great performers, better than every other wrestler in the XWF just blows my mind. I haven’t seen great performers like them in a very long time. Now you walk in and out of the picture, but now I see that you’re really worth a damn of being considered a phenomenal performer. There’s no one else out there who can compare themselves to likes of you or any of the other men I just mentioned. They can only be better or worse. And that’s how it is for all of the virtuoso’s out there in the world. People try to compare me to Jason Becker, but we all know he and I are two different people. Just like how you and Centurion are different. Can’t compare you two, but you can definitely tell that the both of you are great at what you do. I know you get tired of hearing the same old question, who’s better Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton?

Maximus finished his fourth cup of Sake. Then he looks over at Marty Friedman and grins at Marty.

Maximus: I have to say you are right about that. And I always goes with Jimi on that one. Either way, that’s just my personal opinion. Just like how everyone would think that Jem is better than Boondock, or Blizzard can’t hold a candle to Lee Stone. it’s not a total fact, but it’s just their personal opinion. I understand that perfectly, and I totally agree with it. Then I have to ask you a question as to how things get different. The virtuoso’s are only appreciated by die hard music fans. A great wrestler like Boondock Saint is actually on top of the XWF right now. Usually that spot is held for the man who is the best entertainer, as oppose to best wrestler. How come someone as great like you, isn’t appreciated in the mainstream then?

Maximus takes a quick gulp of his cup of Sake. Marty then continues to answer his question.

Marty: That’s only because people don’t know anything else but simplicity. Not a lot of people are adept at finding complexity amusing. That’s what I think. The only reason why people respond to how great a wrestler works nowadays, is because people get tired of simplicity when they are watching a wrestling match. That would be the difference between a virtuoso and a phenomenal athlete. Either way, you go out there and show everyone that you’re great, you might as well call yourself great. Just keep on doing what you need to make sure that you can only get better.

Maximus then finishes his fifth cup, and then picks up his last cup. And then he raises it in the air.

Maximus: Well Marty, you sure did make things a little clear for me. In the sense was to why you appreciate the sport of professional wrestling than other do.

Marty: I’m glad I did. This was my reason.

Maximus: Here’s to you.

Maximus then raises his cup in the air, and then gulps down the whole cup.

Maximus: Man this is some great stuff. Need to bring this back home to America. Anyway, you have to go to your clinic right?

Marty then looks at the time on his watch, and then slowly get’s up to his feet.

Marty: Yes, I do actually.

Marty then extends his hand down to Maximus. Who in turn puts his out as well. They shake hands and continue to grin at each other. Maximus then gets up to his feet. He reaches in his pocket and drop an $100 American bill on the table. The bartender then walks over to the table to receive the money. Maximus and Marty then walk out of the bar and back into the Golden Gai.

Marty: Alright dude, this is where we part ways.

Maximus: Right, it’s been fun. This was definitely a dream come true.

Marty: Hopefully of all your dreams will. Good luck this Sunday at Bad Medicine.

Maximus: Thanks, but I don’t need it. I have more than what I need. And luck isn’t one of them.

Marty begins to chuckle a bit.

Marty: If you say so.

Maximus: Nah, I know so.....I’ll see you around Marty.

Maximus then begins to walk off in one direction, then Marty walks off in the other. Maximus walks out of the Golden Gai and into the busy Japanese street once again. He continues to walk through the city for the rest of the afternoon.

~End

II. On the Edge of Forever

Throughout my entire career, I have always thrived on being the best wrestler that world has ever seen. What other choice would I have? To be the worse, or to be second best? No, I can say that no one wants that. Ever since I started wrestling I’ve always prepared myself physically, and mentally for any match that was soon to follow. Doing this line of work is not easy. We, wrestlers have to work hard and up our game every single night we perform. Showing the people that we can always do better than the previous night. Most guys might be comfortable with the way how they are now, which I think is a very stupid thing to do. But I’m not them. I have to go ahead and continue to get better and better every time I step in the ring. The physicality of it, is only just one part of the game. It’s very simple, all you have to do is simply train in the gym to keep your strength, your stamina, and your skill prowess. Most men do it better than most. As to why a lot of men in the XWf are better than most. I believe that I am a man who is in the category of being better than most of the men in the XWF. I know I’m no legend, but I know have what it take to beat a legend. It takes a lot of hard work to able to get yourself on that level in order to take on someone like Centurion. Not only am I willing to do that for the sake of getting better as a performer for myself. But I do it so that I can show legends like Centurion, Jem Williams and Cooper, that I have what it takes to be the best. That’s only the physical aspect of getting yourself prepared. The physical aspect of my training is only half of it, and it’s the easiest. The next and the hardest, of course, is my mentality. Basically in that run I look at it as, how do I feel about going into my next match, and I try to keep myself relaxed and calm before going into the match. Sure, it might not be much to prepare for . But when you think about it for a minute, you have to look at who your opponent is, or opponents in some cases. It really all depends on who they are, when it comes down to it. I know a lot of people have their ways of handling things, but this is my own. I try my best not to go into a match angry, then I become irrational and I begin to fuck up. Which then might result into me losing what ever match it is. I hate losing more than anything else. So going into a match clear headed works out better in my favor. I then get to look at my opponent, and watch him work as he tries to take me down. If he’s successful or not, then that will all be decided after the bell has been rung. His or her lost, will obviously be my gain. And vice versa. This is just the way how I do things, which some of might disagree with. Others might see things my way and accept that. Why argue against something that you yourself don’t even do? You do what works for you right?

I think everyone does. After all of the times that I’ve been in and out of the XWF. I’ve watched how a lot of guys went into their matches. The majority of them would really take things personally, and let their emotions get in the way of what was really important. Which was winning the match itself. From what I’ve been seeing, the only thing that most guys care about here in the XWF is beating their opponents to a bloody pulp. What good does that do? They manage to damage a man’s body, and disfigure his physical features, the only thing that does is add more fuel to the fire. What’s the point of going on for 6 months battling the same man, over and over again, just because he really wants to hurt you more than you want to hurt him? That’s why I seriously sat back and laughed as I watched Krazzy Kidd and Thomas Davis go at. Really, I saw no point of that whole situation. But I see things differently than those two men. I have not had a major fight with anyone since I’ve been here in the XWF. Why? Because it’s absolutely worthless that’s why. Sure I might have beaten down a few people, and attacked a few men who I grudge to settle with. It was only in the interest of business. Just so that people won’t say that I’m contradicting myself. The only thing that’s really on my mind in this company is to go out and be the best wrestler. I know I’ve already said that, but I just want to make sure that it sticks in everyone’s head. So letting personal vendetta’s getting in the way of that is not bound to take place. Everyone can go around and make all of the wars they want to. I however, will be go around beating everyman in the ring who steps in front of me. It’s not impossible to beat Aidan Collins, Raziel, and Bigg Rigg. I know this because I can prove it. It might not be easy, that much is true, but not impossible. It takes a time and effort for me to mentally prepare myself for matches in the future. I don’t procrastinate, and ignore what I have to deal with. I look at each man I have to face and marvel if whether or not I can take him out without putting in too much work in the ring. I also wonder as to how good this person is, and what he’s capable of doing in the ring. If all is good, then all I have to worry about it making sure that I stay calm, and when the bell rings I’ll let my skills do the rest of the work. Not like some people who want to put out half ass matches, then in the after math, want to go ahead and continue beating down people. Who could I be talking about?

The Black Order that’s who. Sure these men have talent, and can put on good performances in the ring. But they don’t live up to their hype. That’s one thing I can say. Only as wrestlers though. I don’t see what’s so special about Cyren and Raziel when it comes to down to in ring performance. They are crazy son of a bitches though. I’ll give them that. And I’ll be damn if I didn’t think that these men never paid attention to one single word I’ve ever said about them. It appears that I’ve hit a nerve with Cyren when came down to the “Sickness”. He feels as if that I was trying to take something away from him. I bring up that assumption because after C2 and I defeated Cyren and Raziel, Cyren took it upon himself to go ahead and attack me. Screaming out the words “I’m the Sickness”. Or whatever he was seeing. Couldn’t hear anything thing else, because all I was feeling was hard fist hitting my face. Apparently my Invictus Sickness did not sit well with Cyren and the rest of the Order. Which I knew was going to happen, but I didn’t expect Cyren to take it so “personally”. You see, Cyren’s “Sickness” has nothing to do with the Invictus Sickness. That man is a deranged, insane and twisted individual, who takes pleasure in hurting others. I use to be like that, but it isn’t what the Invictus Sickness pertains to. Incase the dumb ass Black Order members didn’t fully get it the first time. I will make sure that the explanation of the Invictus Sickness is a little shorter this time. I have to make sure that it is short this time, or Raziel will think there’s something retarded about it. Anyway, just incase those douchebags had missed it before, the Invictus Sickness is all about self-awareness, confidence, strong will and dignity. That could never be broken by the likes of any man from the Black Order. Simple right? I guess you guys missed the Invictus part in there too. Instead you “Victus” instead. It shows little hints that they were paying attention. Invictus mean “unconquerable”. When you guys put “Victus” up first, you mean to say that I am “Conquerable”. It’s clever, but a 4th grader can do better than that. That’s where you guys are wrong. You see, I see how The Black Order works. They want domination throughout the entire XWF. Gaining strength by the numbers, damaging peoples bodies just to dominate them. Really that’s all bullshit. As you can tell they have hurt me physically, but what else have they done to me? Absolutely nothing. Raziel might think that hurting C2 after every single match that they have, holds some sort of significance. When really, it doesn’t mean a damn thing. So they can have their “war”, and they can go ahead proceed with their domination. They will never, ever, have dominance or control over me, and any other Vigilante member. In their eyes they might feel as if we are not suitable to take part in this “war” against them, only because we think that it’s best to get in the ring and show that we are just simply better than them as wrestlers. Which is fine. But fuck with me again, and I promise to you all that The Order will wish that they never fucked with me in the first. And I said it once and I’ll say it again, fuck The Black Order! And to hell with this so called “war” that, to my knowledge, has no real importance for my path to greatness. That’s my payback on Cyren has not taken place yet. I won’t forget about it, and I won’t forget about him. I’d rather embarrass these fools in the ring anyway. So being that this is a “war”. I’ll know I’ll be meeting up with Cyren again soon. So I’ll be a heretic, but just know that this heretic is better than you.......pointless, and pathetic “war”.

Speaking of this “war”, I know that we have another stable who decided to jump into the shenanigans as well. The Tribe of course. I won’t be like that fool Spice 1, who feel that it is necessary to insult our names. Surely I don’t care what he calls us. I just know for a fact that I’m far from pansy. And I will gladly prove to, whoever this Spice character is, that if you step into the ring with anyone of us. Even the other two stables, I’m pretty positive that the “Odor” of his blood stench in back alley, making him feel that it would be better if he was in a “skirt”. But that’s Spices game. Me however, I don’t have time any. I have a match that will determine whether or not my skills is up to par with the top performers in this company today. So allow me to run through The Tribe for a quick second. Just to let everyone know, I really have any real problems with these guys. They are all great performers in the ring, and I know they can back up whatever it is that they say they can do in the ring. I just don’t appreciate the fact the their “Leader”, Aidan Collins, took it upon himself to attack our founder Lee Stone. But this is a “war” am I right? They have to do what they can to embarrass the next team much worse than what they can do to them. Sure they hold three titles here in the company. Something I can respect. But I can’t really riding their jocks here, because these men are a real threat to the Vigilantes goal as being the best in the company. You have Aidan Collins and James Raven. No strangers here in the company. They have their minds set on keeping their Tag Team Championship belts from my partners Zach Rizza and Alex Cutwright. Surely I would be over confident in my partners to win this match. I am confident that they can win this match, but just not over confident. Aidan Collins is a legend already, something I thought would never happen to be quite honest with you. Then James Raven, who has said I am the “rising star” here, but then when you look at him the man has already held three championship belts already. If anybody needs to considered a “rising star” in the XWF, it has to James Raven. I’ll keep myself in that category too, just to be cocky. Nonetheless The Tribe isn’t something to be taken as a joke. Which brings me to next member of The Tribe, and one out of the two opponents who I will be facing this Sunday.

Drake Komodo......the man who holds the belt that I am chasing after at the moment. The Canadian Championship. Unlike James Raven, Zach Rizza, and Alex Cutwright. Drake and I have no other issues, other than the fact that we both don’t want to lose this Sunday at Bad Medicine.......Well, let me rephrase that. Drake wants to hold onto his Canadian Championship. Drake wants to get as many victories as possible so that he can be declared the winner of this match. I however, need to win this match. Centurion opened my eyes after Mega Massacre. You can’t just want something. A lot of times just wanting something just isn’t good enough. You better need it, because there can always be someone who wants it more than you would. Needing it, will always get you what you’re after. I made that mistake once, and I will not make it again. Drake definitely is someone who I need to take seriously. Not only is he a pick from everyone to be the winner of this match, but he’s the one who beat Centurion only a week after his victory of winning the title. I’ll have more on that later, but Drake is the man who I need to have my full attention on......Then again, I need to have my full attention put on both Centurion and Drake. This isn’t just some Massacre show, where three guys get booked into the match first, and then I get thrown in there just to make things interested. Surely I wanted to be in the match, and win it. I also foolishly looked over the other three men in the match, and the one who I need to give my full and undivided attention to got over in the match. Drake is going to have to understand something. This isn’t about a stable war, or the fact he has beaten me before, which I don’t even remember, it’s about me elevating myself to greatness. I know I said that last time before I stepped into the ring to when this title on the line, but this time I mean it more than anything else. It’s only business, nothing personal. My drive to become the Canadian Champion is something I’ve never even felt before. I do get excited when I’m just a few days away from facing great opponents in the ring. But this has more to do with just these wrestlers great skills and talents. This is about me displaying what I can really do. And winning this title will allow me to display talents each and every time I step into the ring. So right now Drake, I envy you for holding the Canadian Championship. I envy you for the fact that you got the opportunity this past Monday to showcase what you can do as the Canadian Champion. Call me needy, but that’s something I desperately need. I need to get out there in the ring and prove to everyone what I am made of, and that I have what it takes to be the best there is. Surely the World Championship and the Universal Championship is more prestigious than the Canadian Championship. But being the Canadian Championship allows me to display my flawless prowess and technical competence that I can prove that no one in the XWF possess at day in time. It’s all up to me to show everyone who I really am, and what I can really do in the ring. I need to show it to all that have ever doubted me before, and to those who will even think of doubting me in the near future. Drake holds what I dearly need to posses as my key to open the doors to my greatness. And I can’t wait to take it away from him. Beating him fair and square in the ring is the only way I know how to do it.

Sure he might think otherwise because of who I was in the past. Also because of what he has done to me in the past. If it’s a claim or not, it really doesn’t matter because I truly do not remember what supposedly happen between us. I know I said it before, just so that Raziel doesn’t get brain damage from listening to me. But I honestly know that Drake will be kind enough to tell what he remembers. His recollection will surely out do mines. Then when he does do it, what good is it going to do for our match this Sunday? He’s beaten me before, and we all know that he’s beaten Centurion. This Sunday is going to be a different day, and especially a different time for good ol’ Maxi-pads. I have all that I need to take on Drake head on. I know he’s great, but doesn’t intimidate me in the slightest degree. I have a lot in store for him, which I really hope he’s ready for. I had no match this past Monday, you think I was playing around for that day that I had of? If you did then think again. But I noticed something about Drake though. Which is something that I like. I don’t really know him very well, but from what I’ve been seeing, he’s a very cocky bastard, who thinks he’s the greatest person to step in the XWF since The Brand. Excuse if I’m too late to notice this. I have been in and out of the XWf for the past.......4 years? Either way, he reminds me of Raziel. But not so much, it looks like you can actually back up your words in the ring by displaying more credible and adept skills. So in turn, Drake is definitely a vital threat in this match. So is Cent, not taking anything away from, but Drake is the Champion in this match. I know he will not disappoint me when it comes down to defending to what’s his. And it is his belt, he rightfully won it. Fair and square, right down the middle, no questions asked about it. I can’t claim something to mine, as to which I’ve never won. It would be very naive and foolish for me to do that. It would also be foolish and naive of me to think that I can topple over Drake without a problem. This isn’t the IWF, and this definitely isn’t Impact. There’s much more in store for me in this match, more than any other match that I have been in before. Surely I thought that the Fatal Four Way match at Mega Massacre was going to live up to the hype, but I was really let down, big time. I know I won’t get let down this time. For one, I made the damn challenge. Then second off, I know that both Drake and Cent will put out their best to make sure that they won’t lose. And neither will I. And that is what’s going to make this match as great as I know it’s going to be. But I’m willing to go beyond what everyone isn’t expecting. Which will make this match even greater.

I was actually looking forward for it to just being a one on one between Centurion and myself. I really wasn’t happy as to how our match had ended at Mega Massacre. He did say that he would have no problem facing me for the belt. So I thought “why the fuck not”. Just to make things interesting I added the 30 Minute Iron Man match clause in there regardless. I was really rooting for Centurion to win his match against Drake. I which in the end made me even more disappointed. How could Centurion lose after just winning the belt a week before that? And to think after all the crap I was talking to Darkhan and Regan Chambers about what would happen if they were to do something like this. It turns out that Centurion does it. Of all the people who I would expect to not lose after a week of winning the Canadian Championship. It had to be Centurion. When I was watching the match, and I saw his lost, I really wanted to go out there and start beating him for losing. But it’s not in my character to beat a man when he’s down. It wouldn’t had been right for me to add insult to injury by doing it, even after he lost his match. I’m not angry with Cent, but I am very disappointed that he would do such a thing like this. Sure he might not have had control over the match, since he can’t control Drake’s actions, who was looking to just win a damn title anyway. For the man who was once talking about how much he needed the title, to win it, the way he won it, then to just lose it. Just really makes me upset. Then to have the nerve to say to “your time is next” or “soon”, whatever it was, it made me feel like he was taunting me and showing me that efforts at Mega Massacre was useless. I’m not too happy about this. The only reason why I’m not getting angry about this whole situation is because, one, if I get mad then irrationality will get in the way and then I won’t be fully focused on winning the match. I would be more focused on hurting Centurion. Second thing is, it really is nothing personal. This is strictly business. One might go on ahead and mistake it as a personal vendetta, but that happens when one feels so passionately about his wrestling career. If I out that impression to anyone, then good. I guess I’m doing something right here. The third and last thing, is because he’s fucking Centurion. I can’t let this one fuck up shrew my mind. After all of the title reigns he has held, this one lost, I can let slide. But not by a huge margin.

For you see, Centurion has had this belt many times. Being that he lost it so quickly, he’s going to want it back. He feels that the Canadian Championship is rightfully his. Going into this match, Centurion is going to be putting out his best to make sure that he doesn’t lose to Drake again. We all know what Cent can put out in this match, and I’ve seen it too. Unfortunately I’m fully impressed. I only say this because of what had happened in the match at Mega Massacre. And trust me, I will not be letting it go. We all went down, he saw the opportunity to get the pin, I was too late to stop it. That’s all. I see him as an opportunist, and it might be good to some people, but I really and truly makes vex when I see it. Centurion is now going to have 30 minutes of opportunities in this match to get “his” Canadian Championship back. Drake is going to have to do the same. Will I take any easy opportunity to get a pinfall any one of them? Unfortunately I’d have to say no. Some of you might think it’s bullshit, but it’s the truth on my behalf. Even so I might be wrong about Centurion being an opportunist. But I’m just going by what I saw from Mega Massacre. I can promise everyone that it will be a repeat, as I said before, I’m not going to let Mega Massacre go. All because of the way of how it ended. I have all that I need, which is going to help me get what I need, and that’s the Canadian Championship. I know Centurion and Drake Komodo won’t like my thoughts about this, but they’re just going to have to deal with it. Just as much as I won’t like theirs. I know this Sunday will be a great match, but this will only be the beginning of my endeavors. I’ll continue to patiently wait as I sit On The Edge of Forever..........
