Bio

Raised on his family's farm in Virginia, Danny McCoy grew up as a loud, but mannerly, boy who loved to roughhouse. This transitioned into an interest in wrestling where his family hoped to curb some of his excess energy and put his physical prowess to use. Wrestling throughout high school, McCoy was trained in the traditional form of wrestling, which would later became his greatest strength in the ring when he went professional ... in a company where many of the wrestlers relied solely on spotty or flashy maneuvers ... the AW.

In the AW, the mannerly and quite naive McCoy crossed paths with his polar opposite, the extravagant and flamboyant high-flier Tommy Purr. Opposites eventually attacked one another, and the two had a brief rivalry before McCoy failed in his quest to become Anarchy World Champion. Down the line, the two joined forces as the tag team Culture Shock ... with McCoy surprisingly making a romantic advance on the dumbfounded Purr in a lip-lock that would splinter their realities and have ramifications for years to come.

The married Tommy Purr risked his marriage to Damien Shaw to be with McCoy, but McCoy soon left the AW indefinitely in order to cure his homosexuality, breaking things off with Tommy Purr via yellow post-it. Tommy Purr, not one to take kindly to being made a fool of, plotted revenge as McCoy dealt with his personal issues, as well as the fact that his ex-girlfriend Melissa had given birth to a son, Danny, Jr., that he hadn't even realized existed (the child later turned out to not be his). When McCoy made venomous and hateful remarks about Purr, claiming the wrestling sensation turned him gay, Purr retaliated by burning down McCoy's farm.

McCoy would later have his revenge in the year of 2008 when he lit fire to the building holding the CWA's year-end Platinum Turnbuckle Awards. It was reminiscent of Purr's attack on the McCoy Estate from years ago. McCoy then returned to the CWA - the former AW - and wrecked havoc on Tommy Purr with the aid of Rebella DeCesare and Ebony Fairchild, eventually leading to his inclusion in the Business, Inc. stable as Mr. Garth Rivers' hired goon. Greyson Blaze, a CWA rookie at the time, was befriended by McCoy ... who was obsessed with the fact that Greyson and Purr were eerily similar and saw Greyson as a "second chance" of sorts.

Behind the scenes, Damien Shaw, Purr's husband, was planning his own strike against Purr. This, somehow rekindled McCoy's compassion for Purr. With Purr blissfully unaware that his scorned husband was planning on taking him to the cleaners, McCoy seduced Damien into a one night stand in an attempt to destroy the marriage and save the Man-Diva. Unfortunately, McCoy's twisted relationship with Greyson and unstable past left Purr feeling leery and resistant to McCoy's warnings. With McCoy now more focused on trying to help the man he once loved, he became less concerned about Greyson Blaze, who eventually defeated him in glorious fashion in the ring.

In the ESW, when Damien finally showed his true colors and betrayed Tommy Purr and allied with Greyson Blaze of all people, Purr and McCoy reunited ... both professionally and romantically. Since their reunion, McCoy helps keep tabs on the day-to-day operations of the ESW and also wrestles, helps book, and acts as a talent scout for the company.

After a run-in with Dr. Merci Jackson, McCoy seemingly gained his grip back on reality and is back to his old self having resolved all issues with Purr and Blaze. A skilled wrestler with the strength of an ox, McCoy enjoys the thrill of a challenge, so much so that if his opponents get rowdy, he doesn't mind hogtying them with his lasso and then branding them ... leaving them with a little something to remember the Real McCoy.
