Bio
Riley “Smiley Face” Robinson was born June 12, 1987 to Donna and Riley Robinson II in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Riley actually had a pretty decent childhood living in a middle class neighborhood in Minneapolis, and he was always well liked by his peers. He started getting interested in wrestling at the age of 7 when his Uncle Tim got him a wrestling magazine for Christmas. Riley read that magazine over and over again once he got it he was immediately enthralled by the stories of these “super heroes” such as Hulk Hogan, Ultimate, Bret Hart and Rick Flair taking on all the “bad guys” such as Mr. Perfect, Million Dollar Man, and Yokozuna. Once he got that first wrestling magazine it was as if the flood gates had opened in the Robinson house hold as this 7 year old boy became completely obsessed with everything wrestling. His parents never tried to stop Riley from watching what he wanted, because quite simply this wrestling as unusual as it was made Riley happy and the Robinson’s just wanted their son to be happy. Riley decided not too long after reading that first wrestling magazine that he wanted to become a professional wrestler when he grew up. His parents figured Riley would probably grow out of this wrestling thing as he got older, but Riley never did. Riley knew what he wanted to be from the age of 7 to the day of his high school graduation where he had vowed that he would become a professional wrestler. The day after his high school graduation, Riley took all of the money he had been saving up for years, and spent it on a local wrestling school in Minneapolis. There Riley would realize that making it to the big time wasn’t as easy as it seemed. Riley got beat up on a daily basis, but he continued to work, and eventually graduated at the top of his class at the Minneapolis Wrestling Academy. Following his graduation from wrestling school, Riley wrestled all over the state of Minnesota and in other near by states trying to get noticed, but Riley realized that he needed something more to get to where he wanted to be in his profession, and that something more was All Japan Pro Wrestling. Riley once again had to save up as much money as he possibly could to go to live in Japan to train for a year, and even all the money he saved wasn’t enough. It took some money from his supportive parents, and a loan from the bank to get Riley over to Japan to hone his skills. There he would earn the nicknames “Smiley Face” and “SUPER BABYFACE” both of which came from his constantly positive attitude towards wrestling and his outlook on life in general. No matter what road blocks Riley faced he always greeted them with a smile. Riley gained a huge amount of fans in Japan because of his desire, heart, and respect that he obviously showed for the wrestling business. Riley now looks to come back to his homeland of the United States in hopes of making a huge splash in a prestigious wrestling company such as the ESW. So watch out Empire State, because the “SUPER BABYFACE” Riley “Smiley Face” Robinson has arrived!
