In 1998, the World Wide Wrestling opened their doors and promoted the very first Mega Explosion event. In it, a new Champion was crowned in the form of Killer Machine... but until now few have questioned if the decision was anything more than a champion taking his place with the stars of the industry. The hands behind the scenes were always assumed to be limited to the promoters, to the managers, and to the writers who worked to craft the best wrestling promotion they could. But through the years a series of unfortunate events have plagued the promotion with a number of unusual problems and several have begun to question if there is more to the story than meets the eye.
Through the years the promotion has seen a series of evil wrestlers take the name of Outlaw and become a stable called the Outlaws... but few have wondered if this was destiny or manipulation to a greater scheme. Several wrestlers have had mental breakdowns, from the delusions of Hells Guardian to the complete mental breakdown of and identity crisis but none have asked the questions that needed to be asked, namely if the progression into insanity was a natural event or part of a greater scheme. Even the smallest of moments, from marriage of beloved wrestlers to failed political attempts were not immune from tampering, and it is this action which has led many in the promotion to question the bigger, greater game that might be in play.
Reed Hawk, the beloved manager and leader of the promotion suffered a severe injury one year ago which took him from the WWW. In that time, the promotion was mismanaged through the Fox Network Corporation, leaving many wrestlers to fend for themselves, guide their own storylines and struggle to be noticed against a faceless and uninvolved corporate system. But even this lack of attention was perhaps not random... and within the chaos new players emerged to take their place in the establishment.
Through it all, as if it was all part of some greater plan, the promotion has succeeded beyond the wildest dreams of the corporate owner, and as 2009 begins the members of the promotion find themselves once more in unfamiliar territory... as celebrities. But is this latest development just one more step in some greater, unknown plan?
