British Brawler was an intense, powerful and all round fighter. He came from the streets of Cumbria looking to make his name in the World of Wrestling and using that sheer brawn and power achieved the ultimate in World Title goals when he lifted the dWo World Heavyweight Championship and went on to win the x2w World Heavyweight Championship too. British Brawler will be best known for his hatred and tremendous rivalry with Bill Dynamite, and despite never beating Dynamite, he gave him one hell of a beating each time they met.
“I was unemployed and broke, walking around wrestling promotions in the US trying to get a job. I was getting desperate and ready to pack it in and go back to England. But then a man came and answered my calls; his name was Andrew Chambers, aka British Brawler. He told me he was working for a top promotion, the Fatal Wrestling League. He told me they were looking for talent and a British tag team would be a great inclusion to the roster.”
“So I came into FWL as British Brawler’s partner and backup. But after a while I became tired of worrying about another person instead of just looking after myself. I wanted to go alone. I went on to win the FWL Intercontinental Championship from Scott Palmer and looked to get out of the partnership, then the Dark Army broke my neck and the partnership was broken.”
“Then something happened that changed us forever. Magnus Diesel, British Brawler’s brother, was fighting for the GWC World Title against Notoriou$. Up until that point, nobody knew my connections with Notoriou$ and it was a surprise to everyone when I rose from my wheelchair to deliver a horrific chair shot to Magnus Diesel’s head to give the title to Notoriou$.”
“I then had a bitter feud with Magnus and it all came to a close when I fought Magnus one on one at FWL’s Xtreme Dream in a ladder match for $100,000. After I won the match I made some awful comments to a limo driver, I told him he was worthless and should go kill himself. He did. He drove his limo onto some train track later that night. Little did I know Magnus Diesel was beaten up and placed in the trunk of the limo by some assailants earlier that night. British Brawler never forgave me for what he thought was me costing his brother his life.”
“Myself and Brawler went through a huge rivalry and finally faced each other on x2w’s Overload. I beat him to win myself a title shot at his x2w World Heavyweight Championship. The match was made for x2w Hell & Back in a buried alive match. I buried British Brawler that night and I thought he’d never come back.”
“He disappeared for a year until returning at eWo’s Violence when I was scheduled to fight Dylan Dunn in a World Title rematch. He jumped me from behind, threw me in a coffin and threw it off the stage. I was in a wheelchair again at the hands of British Brawler. But after I lost my World Title at eWo Avengement, I never returned to eWo to fight Brawler again. Brawler has since retired and moved back to England. I have not seen him since. But I will say this, without British Brawler and everything we went though, I wouldn’t be the man I am today. For that, I thank him. I am honoured to include such a resilient, never-say-die character into my Hall of Fame.”
