Cody Clark has won title after title since debuting shortly after the downfall of the original eWo. In his relatively short time as a professional, he has not only improved his ability but is rapidly creating a legacy fit for anyone who has graced the sport. Cody Clark is probably the present and the future of professional wrestling.
“At one time, Cody thought of me as a mentor. I was obviously flattered, but it was plain to see I was not up to doing the job justice. I was the best man at his wedding, which is an honour and a privilege not often given. We have fought in the ring more than once, and never have I been victorious.”
“I see a lot in myself in Cody Clark. The ‘fuck you’ attitude, the women, the booze, the disregard, but more importantly, the drive and determination to be the best there is. When I met Cody one on one at WrestleFest IV, he put me in the sharpshooter and had me tapping out. The first man to ever make Bill Dynamite tap out. Afterwards he took a chair and wrapped it around my skull so many times I still wake up thinking about it. But it was that that made me respect Cody Clark as much as I do.”
“He sent a message to me and everybody else that Clark is the man now. Not Dynamite. Those chair shots had me lying in a hospital bed for so long I was shitting in a bowl and pissing through a tube. But I thank Cody Clark for that because it made me a realise that my time as the number one in this sport is over. My legacy is all but finished. And the reason I induct him into my hall of fame is that although already littered with achievement, Cody Clark’s legacy has only just begun.”
