[ The scene opens to a bright hot, and very humid day in Miami. Braving the heat carrying a larger gray duffle bag over her right shoulder and wearing a white tank top and blue shorts that cut off at the knees with a simple pair of converse sandals. Jamie walks down the pretty neighborhood street near the ocean she pauses and looks around. Then smiles as she walks up to the front door of a beautiful spanish style mansion. Just as she is about to knock on the door the door is flung open. Standing on the other side wearing a white lace dress, and pink over sized Gucci sunglass.. with a baby tote bag over her shoulder is none other than Brandi James-Young. Standing in back of Brandi is her assistant Jack, carrying her son Nolan in his baby seat. Jamie's jaw drops to the floor a bit embarrassed that she caught Brandi on her way out the door. A bit star stuck she stands there trying to get the words out but can't. Brandi a bit annoyed snaps her fingers at Jamie.]
Brandi James-Young: "C'mon kid, get the hell out of the way."
[ A bit stunned Jamie takes a deep breath and turns as Brandi shoves her way past her.]
Jamie Brant: "Brandi, I was hoping that I could ask you something."
[ Brandi waves her hand at Jack to hurry up with Nolan and the rest of the things.]
Brandi James-Young: "What let me guess...you've gone from wanna-be wrestler to reporter now?"
[ Jamie shakes her head and softly answers.]
Jamie Brant: "No...I still want to wrestle. Infact my first real match is this week. Against Angela Jameson & Faith Wilkins..."
Brandi James-Young: " Is that so? How wonderful for you, I'm sure your over comed by joy."
[ She sarcastically says.]
Jamie Brant: "Actually I am pretty excited..."
Brandi James-Young: "How lovely for you..."
[ Brandi turns her attention away from Jamie, and barks orders out to Jack.]
Brandi James-Young: "Jack! Let's go...Let's go...You know how I hate being late for a flight..I want to get to Oakland as soon as possible."
Assistant Jack "Don't worry Brandi, we'll get there in time.."
Brandi James-Young: "We better..."
[ Jack lugs the bags out side then takes Nolan, and shuts the door. Jamie stands directly in front of Brandi dropping her duffle bag on the ground.]
Jamie Brant: "Well...all I was gonna.."
[ Brandi interrupts her.]
Brandi James-Young: "Are you still talking kid?"
Jamie Brant: "Umm, I sorta never really started."
Brandi James-Young: "Hmmm, I didn't notice either way."
[ Jamie tightens her lips together and looks down at the ground. ]
Jamie Brant: "All I wanted to know, is since it's my match and all...and since your dad does think it's a good idea for me to shadow you, umm, I just wanted to know if it would be ok if I traveled around with you and your husband Rick...You know since I don't have a travel buddy, or know the ropes of being on the road."
[ Brandi sighs ]
Brandi James-Young: "Kid..."
[ Jamie looks up and softly says.]
Jamie Brant: "My name's Jamie..."
Brandi James-Young: "ok...Jamie...what do I look like? Do I look like your tour guide through AWA?"
[ Brandi runs her hand through her hair. As she looks at Jamie's disappointed face. ]
Brandi James-Young: "Jesus Christ...where the fuck is Skylar Black when you need her...Figures that's just another thing Mike fuckin' destroyed. I swear the Farkas men are good for nothing but fuckin' up people's lives. It's one thing to have nothing going for you and wrecking your own life, but when you take away things from others....shit..."
Jamie Brant: "Excuse me?"
Brandi James-Young: "Nothing...Jamie...I don't do nice....I don't take people under my wing and play big sister to them. And as for traveling with me and my husband...well Rick's not exactly around...Infact he abandoned me and Nolan..."
[ Jamie's eyes widen, as she puts her hand on Brandi's shoulder.]
Jamie Brant: "That's terrible..."
[ Brandi nods her head.]
Brandi James-Young: "Yeah...."
[ After a short pause Brandi perks up and smiles as she bends down a bit to tickle Nolan's tiny feet. ]
Brandi James-Young: "But that's ok... cuz Nolan and mommy are going to Oakland early...that way we can spend some quality time with papa and mommy's friend...aren't we Nolan?"
[ Jamie smiles as she seems to be a bit relived that there is a some what softer side of Brandi.]
Jamie Brant: "Ok...right...but Brandi. If Rick's not around then don't you think that you can use an extra set of hands to help you with Nolan? "
Brandi James-Young: "Not really that's what Jackson..is for."
[ Jack looks back as he has two bags over his shoulder and carrying a huge luis vuitton suitcase behind him and Nolan's car seat in the other hand as he tries to open the car door.]
Jamie Brant: "He looks over whelmed."
[ Brandi giggles.]
Brandi James-Young: "Nonse...Jack loves a challenge..Don't ya Jackson?"
[ She yells to him. Jack tosses the suitcase in the car followed by the duffle bags, he turns around and shrugs.]
Brandi James-Young: "He lives for this.."
Jamie Brant: "oh...but...but...what if...say Jack is doing errands for you, and well you need to go to dinner or do a promotion...are you really going to take Nolan? I could be like a babysitter of sorts...Yeah...like, I can help babysit Nolan when you need someone too, and you...well you can teach me how live on the road.."
Brandi James-Young: "Are you ever going to take no for an answer?"
Jamie Brant: "That depends...are you going to be a bitch all your life?"
[ Brandi is surprised by Jamie's answer and crosses her arms.]
Brandi James-Young: "Very few people speak to me that way and get away with it."
Jamie Brant: "It's a good thing then I'm not those people. I'm gifted....I have a talent for wrestling and I know with you helping me I can be the best. Your my hero Brandi....I didn't admire super girl, Bat girl or wonder woman...the only woman I wanted to admire was you. You've accomplished so much, I don't know how people could not envy you."
[ Placing her hands on her hips Brandi smiles and nods in agreement.]\
Brandi James-Young: "That's true..."
Jamie Brant: "And I honestly don't know what your husbands deal is but he's got a few screws loose to think about needing a few days away.."
Brandi James-Young: "Again true..."
Jamie Brant: "You think it's cuz he's balding?"
[ at that Brandi laughed. As Jack walked back to take Nolan and put him in her seat in the car.]
Brandi James-Young: "Have you been talking to Jalie Thomas?"
Jamie Brant: "Oh, I only wish I was...I love her too...She's so badass.."
Brandi James-Young: "Indeed she is...she's definately the best..."
Assistant Jack: "Brandi...all set..."
Brandi James-Young: "About time Jackson..Your very lucky I wasn't timing you, or else you would have failed."
Assistant Jack: "I'm still a bit rusty..but I'll get quicker..."
Brandi James-Young: "You're forgiven...for now.."
Jamie Brant: "Please...Brandi...Please...Please let me go with you?"
[ Jamie gets on her knees begging Brandi to take her with her. Brandi slides her sunglass up to the top of her head and looks down at Jamie.]
Brandi James-Young: "Get up...."
[ Doing as she told Jamie stands straight up.]
Brandi James-Young: "Something you need to learn...kid...Stars never beg or plead..."
Jamie Brant: "damn....I'm sorry..."
Brandi James-Young: "And...never say your sorry...there's always a logicaly lie to explain your way out of saying sorry. If you have to apologize make sure it's for a good reason...and...make sure it's behind closed doors where no one else can hear it..."
Jamie Brant: "That way..it's my word against the person who got to apology...no witness..it's sorta like it never happened right?"
Brandi James-Young: "Exactly..."
[ Brandi nods and begins to walk away from Jamie towards the car. She turns around and looks at her.]
Jamie Brant: "Were you not listening when I said I don't like to be late?"
Jamie Brant: "Oh my God! Oh God..I can go?"
[ Jamie smiles and squeels in excitement as she grabs her bag and runs up to Brandi throwing her arms around her hugging her tightly.]
Jamie Brant: "Thank You, ....Thank You...Thank You! I swear you won't regret..."
[ Brandi clears her throat and pushes Jamie back.]
Brandi James-Young: "I hope not...but I do have a rule..."
Jamie Brant: "Ofcourse...anything you wish.."
Brandi James-Young: "You only listen and do as I say...I can't have anyone else filling your head with silly ideas.."
Jamie Brant: "Silly ideas...like what?"
Brandi James-Young: "You know silly shit..like posing for pictures with fans and signing autograph..oh or having your own website that's "fan friendly" where you post blogs on the net about your daily routine..."
[ Jamie tosses her bag in the car and hangs on Brandi's every word.]
Brandi James-Young: "Make sure you only listen to me...I don't want anyone putting that type of silly shit in your head...that will just derail my teaching...and I'm not about to waste my time if that's the case.."
[ Jamie salutes Brandi and says in a soliders tone.]
Jamie Brant: "Yes, Ma'am..I will only do as you say Ma'am.."
[ a bit impressed Brandi smiles.]
Brandi James-Young: "Good...the only exception to the rule is Jalie..."
Jamie Brant: "what about Seth?"
Brandi James-Young: "No...Seth has his moments where he can be the nice fan guy...Jalie is more of who you want to ask...her distain for stupid people is the stuff legends are made of."
Jamie Brant: "Right...Jalie will be the only exception..."
Brandi James-Young: "Excellent...so now get in and we'll talk about your match with you teaming up with Cyprus...against Angela Jameson & Faith Wilkins..."
Jamie Brant: "Oh This is a dream come true! Hey do you think maybe you can distract Faith, by flirting with Alex the way you do?"
[ Jamie tries to hide her happiness but can't as she gets into the car and shuts the door as the scene fades out.]
