[ The scene opens up to a messy hotel room in Boston Massachusetts. Where Jamie Brant is seen sitting Indian style on her hotel room bed wearing a pair of black running pants a plainwhiteT-shirt and no shoes. She’s watching old Rick Young wrestling tapes and is eating popcorn. As Jamie watches the tapes she hears a knock on the door. A bit surprised Jamie stretches then gets up. She runs her hands through her hair and stands by the door. ] Jamie Brant: “ Who is it?” [ Standing on the other side of the door is Awa’s own Lexus Malone. Who cheerfully answers back. ] Lexus Malone: “ It’s Lexus…may I come in?” [ Jamie takes a deep breath and opens the door. ] Jamie Brant: “Hey, Lexus so what brings you by?” Lexus Malone: “ I wanted to tell you that we’ve had calls in the front office with offers for you to be on the cover of Flex Magazine.” Jamie Brant: “ Really?” Lexus Malone: “ Yes, really..” [ Jamie steps aside and invites Lexus in. ] Jamie Brant: “ Oh, I’m sorry my manners. Please come in.” Lexu Malone: “ Thanks you…” [ Lexus enters Jamie’s hotel room and looks around at how messy it is, but she just chalks it up to Jamie being a young kid. Lexus walks to the table, and removes some clothes hanging on the chair, then sits down. ] Lexus Malone: “So does that sound like something that you would be interested in?” [ Jamie approaches Lexus and sits across from her folding her hands.] Jamie Brant: “ Has Brandi posed for Flex before?” [ Lexus raises an eyebrow ] Lexus Malone: “Does it really matter?” [ Jamie smirks at her. ] Jamie Brant: “Ummm..yah…” Lexus Malone: “ What if Brandi hasn’t posed for Flex before?” [ In a annoyed tone Jamie snips back.] Jamie Brant: “ If Brandi hasn’t posed in Flex before then it means that the magazine isn’t worth reading. And there for I want nothing to do with it.” Lexus Malone: “Your serious aren’t you?” [ Jamie points to her face and looks very serious.] Jamie Brant: “ Does this look like the face of someone that is joking?” Lexus Malone: “No…but I just thought that..” [ Jamie interrupts Lexus. ] Jamie Brant: “See….I want to follow Brandi’s career…and I’m not talking a bit..I’m talking that, I want it exact…If Brandi was never on Flex magazine’s cover then I won’t be either.” [ Lexus tightens her lips and breaths deeply.] Lexus Malone: “ Ok..I’ll check on that and get back to you..” Jamie Brant: “Good…” [ Jamie turns her attention to glance at the t.v.. Lexus notices what she’s watching and smiles.] Lexus Malone: “ I see that you’re doing a bit of reach on your partner.” Jamie Brant: “Yeah…I’ve already watched tape of Angela and Alex today..Of course I had to shower after I watched some of Alex’s matches.” [ Jamie slips into a daze as she weirdly smiles.] Lexus Malone: “Is that so? Why? Because Alex gives his all and works so hard in the ring in each and every match.” [ Lexus notices that Jamie is not paying attention as she seems to be in another world. Lexus moves to the side in her chair and waves her hand in front of Jamie’s face. Jamie jumps back a bit frightened..then giggles. ] Jamie Brant: “What was that Lexus?” [ Lexus rolls her eyes.] Lexus Malone: “ I asked why did you have to shower after watching Alex’s tapes? Is it before he works so hard in the ring?” Jamie Brant: “No…I mean…yes he works hard in the ring, but it’s just that Alex is so hot.” [ Jamie leans close to Lexus and whispers. ] Jamie Brant: “ He makes me feel warm inside.” [ Lexus laughs ] Lexus Malone: “ Warm inside?” [ Jamie puts her hand over her mouth, as if she shouldn’t have said that. Then she sits straight up and crosses her legs. ] Jamie Brant: “Ooooo…I forgot that you’re a lesbian. So you wouldn’t understand when a man makes you feel warm all over.” [ Lexus pauses as if she’s searching for the correct way in answering Jamie.] Lexus Malone: “ Jamie…I get that way too, but it’s just that it’s for Samantha.” Jamie Brant: “ You mean Samantha makes you feel that way?” Lexus Malone: “Yes, I feel those feeling too. It’s just that men don’t make me feel that way. Women make me feel like that. Especially Samantha she’s the love of my life.” [ Noticeably uncomfortable Jamie shifts her eyes.] Jamie Brant: “Ok…good to know. Soooooo…” Lexus Malone: “Right..I just think it’s great that you’re taking your job so seriously and doing this research.” [ On the Tv. It’s shows Brandi helping Rick score a victory. Jamie bounces on the bed and pointing at the tv.] Jamie Brant: “ Do you see how brilliant she is? My God…there isn’t anything that woman won’t do!” [ Under her breath Lexus mumbles.] Lexus Malone: “You can say that again.” [ Jamie quickly turns her head and glares at Lexus.] Jamie Brant: “What was that?” Lexus Malone: “Nothing, I was just clearing my throat.” Jamie Brant: “Oh….” [ There is a long silence between the two. Then Lexus breaks the silence.] Lexus Malone: “ So what did you think watching Angela?” [ Jamie shrugs then goes back to sitting Indian style on the bed.] Jamie Brant: “I think Angela is pretty kick ass. I mean she actually got along with Brandi when she was on the Fiasco show. It’s nice to see that she’s smart enough to show Brandi some respect.” Lexus Malone: “Do you always find a way to bring things back to Brandi?” Jamie Brant: “She’s my Idol.” Lexus Malone: “ She’s not the only woman wrestler you know.” Jamie Brant: “ I know that!” Lexus Malone: “Good…You know just out of curiosity for me. What makes her so special?” [ Jamie laughs.] Jamie Brant: “Do you have a couple of hours?” Lexus Malone: “Are you serious?” Jamie Brant: “Yes…” [ Lexus shakes her head a bit disappointed in Jamie.] Lexus Malone: “Not really…you know Jamie the kind of woman Brandi is..she would sell her own family to get ahead.” Jamie Brant: “Only if they did something wrong to her.” Lexus Malone: “You know she doesn’t care about anyone but herself.” [ Jamie sneers at Lexus pointing at her and raising her voice.] Jamie Brant: “Liar! You’re a Liar!” Lexus Malone: “I’m sorry you feel that way Jamie. But sooner or Later you will learn the truth.” Jamie Brant: “You have no right to think that about Brandi! She cares about me. In fact she’s made me her personal project! ” Lexus Malone: “And that’s a good thing?” Jamie Brant: “Duh! It’s the best thing to ever happen in my life!” Lexus Malone: “I just don’t want to see you get hurt. You seem like a sweet kid.” Jamie Brant: “Well…poo..poo to you! I know better and you don’t know how Brandi and I are.” Lexus Malone: “What are you going to tell me next? That you and Brandi are ‘secret” friends?” Jamie Brant: “No! We’re true life friends! She gives me pointers on what to do and what not to do. Hell she saved me from looking like a dim store hook, like Faith Wilkins last week. Now that’s friendship!” [ Jamie nods.] Lexus Malone: “Alright, I can see that I will not be changing your mind or anything. But just be prepared for when she dismisses you. You know that if she were truly molding you, then she and Rick should be here helping you. After all no one has more experience than Rick when it comes to Alex Wilkins and Angela Jameson. And well Brandi always manages to find the easiest way to win against her opponent. I just thought that if she truly was your mentor than she should be here couching you.” Jamie Brant: “Don’t worry about us..Actually I should get back to my tapes. So if you don’t mind.” [ Jamie gets up from the bed and heads over to the door. Lexus nods and then stands up. She walk to the door and stands in front of Jamie.] Lexus Malone: “I will find out about the cover of Flex then call you. Ok?” Jamie Brant: “Thank you…” Lexus Malone: “Anytime.” [ Jamie opens the door for Lexus. When she does she sees Brandi standing on the other side with her fist raised about to knock on the door. Jamie’s face lights up as Lexus looks a bit shocked. Brandi puts her hands on her hips, and bats her eyes.] Brandi James-Young: “why Lexus…haven’t you already corrupted one women into your twisted world of lesbianism in AWA?” [ Not amused Lexus sarcastically answers.] Lexus Malone: “Gee..haven’t you heard of having a back up plan?” Brandi James-Young; “She’s not into that!” Lexus Malone: “And just who are you to say that and speak for her?” [ Brandi arrogantly says.] Brandi James-Young: “Her Goddess…” [ Jamie nods ] Jamie Brant: “Yep! The best one to ever wrestle!” [ Brandi turns her head and frowns at Jamie.] Brandi James-Young: “ I did not tell you to speak did I?” Jamie Brant: “No ma’am!” Brandi James-Young: “ Ok then..shut it, until I ask for you to speak.” [ Jamie salutes Brandi and cheerfully answers back.] Jamie Brant: “Yes ma’am!” [ Lexus huffs. ] Lexus Malone: “ You’re a sick woman Brandi. This poor kid worships you.” Brandi James-Young: “Rightfully so..” Lexus Malone: “She’s a sweet kid..leave her alone.” [ Brandi puts her hand up waving Lexus off and looks at Jamie.] Brandi James-Young: “She didn’t try to talk to you about wrestling did she? Like give you advice or anything?” Jamie Brant: “No, not really. She was just interested in the tapes I was watching. Oh and she said you didn’t care about me, and that you’d just blow off the fact that I’m teaming with Rick. And just do what you want to serve your own self.” Brandi James-Young: “Did she now?” [ Brandi looks hatefully at Lexus. ] Jamie Brant: “Yep!” Brandi James-Young: “But nothing that would de-rail my teaching right?” [ Jamie rolls her eyes smiling. ] Jamie Brant: “Noooooo..Brandi I know that’s what ear muffs are for.” [ Brandi pats Jamie on her back as she stands next to her. ] Brandi James-Young: “Good girl!” Lexus Malone: “Oh kill me.” [ Brandi folds her arms and raises her eyebrow.] Brandi James-Young: “Is that a request?” Lexus Malone: “No.” Brandi James-Young: “Be careful what you wish for Lexus.” Lexus Malone: “Goodbye Mrs. Young.” Brandi James-Young: “Stay away from my trainee, Ms. Malone.” Lexus Malone: “Whatever Brandi.” [ Lexus says not another word and walks to the elevator. Jamie and Brandi begin to head into the hotel room. ] Jamie Brant: “Hey Brandi have you ever posed in Flex magazine?” Brandi James-Young: “Once..the other time the used a picture of me for the cover with out my knowledge.” Jamie Brant: “they want to pose on the cover, but I wanted to check with you.” Brandi James-Young: “smart move…let’s go inside we’ll order some room service and talk about it.” Jamie Brant: “Yay! I call the left bed!” Brandi James-Young: “Settle down..” Jamie Brant: “No way! Life is great! I’m teaming with your hot husband. I’ll get to wrestle the hot Alex Wilkins..” [ Jamie stands in the middle of the room and does the Carlton Banks dance. ] Jamie Brant: “I’m so excited! I’m just burning doing the neutron dance!” [ Brandi smirks. ] Brandi James-Young: “You really need to lay off the sugar kid.” Jamie Brant: “Ah…I’m high on life! Take a deep puff of life and pass it along!” [ Brandi can’t help but laugh at how silly Jamie is being. She shuts the door as the scene fades away.] |
