[ The test of ones strength is when something goes wrong in your life your ability to rise above. Anyone who truly knows Mike Young will tell you that he is not the strongest of men when faced with turbulent times. Some could argue that the man has just been pushed to the edge one too many times. Others will just flat out say that the only way he knows to deal with tough issue is to self destruct. Either way you look at it the former World Champion has not taken the road when dealing with the break up of he and AWA owner Samantha Raines. Just as it seemed that Mike was finally going to get his happiness with Samantha she left his for her bodyguard. It really was the last straw with his fragile state of mind. Which led to the Skylar Black being asked by Maxwell Williams for help. Dubbed AWA's Saint she has moved into the guest house of Brandi James and Rick Young where Mike has been forced to stay. For the first time in a few days Mike is sleeping in his bed. Sitting by his bed quietly knitting Skylar gazes over at him. The quiet is interrupted by a knock at the front door. Not wanting to chance Mike being distrubed she rushes to answer. ] Skylar Black: "who is it?" [ Standing on her tip toes she looks through the peep hole to see Rick Young. Before Rick can even answer her Skylar opens the door.] Skylar Black: "Hey Rick...What's up?" [ Rick nods and looks past her shoulder.] Rick Young: "Nothing...ummm is Mike here?" Skylar Black: "Yes...but he's actually sleeping right now." [ raising his eyebrow and almost sounding a bit impressed.] Rick Young: "Oh is that right?" Skylar Black: "After a very long night really. Infact I just think it's because he just couldn't take anymore. His body just finally gave out. I mean once I put Patience to bed, Mike and I spent a better portion of the night with him throwing and me holding his hair back and rubbing his shoulder to calm him down." Rick Young: "So let me get this straight...You stayed with him in the bathroom the whole time? Holding back his hair and rubbing his shoulders?" Skylar Black: "Yes...wait..." [ shaking her head a bit Skylar steps to the side.] Skylar Black: "Where are my manners...Please come in Rick.." Rick Young: "Alright..." Skylar Black: "I'm sorry that wasn't very Southern of me not inviting you in right away." [ walking towards the living and taking a seat on the couch Rick smirks.] Rick Young; "It's ok...I'll let it slide..You know one Southern to another.." [ After a short pause Skylar sits across from him.] Rick Young: "So how is he really?" Skylar Black: "He thinks that he should just die. That everyones life would be better off if he wasn't around. It's really so sad. Especially when his daughter loves him so much." Rick Young: "Mike has always been very hard on himself..." [ Rick notices Skylar starring at him and sharply asks.] Rick Young: "What? Something wrong?" Skylar Black: "I don't mean to stare but your face Rick..It's scratched up." [ gliding his hand over his face Rick smiles.] Rick Young: "unhunh...." [ A bit nervous Skylar stands up..] Skylar Black: "No...No...ouch don't touch it! Let me go get some antibiotic to put on it." [ Reaching across to her Rick stops Skylar.] Rick Young: "It's fine really!" [ shrugging Skylar sits back down. Rick lounges back in the chair.] Rick Young: "Hell if Brandi catches you putting any antibiotic on my face she'll be pissed. Fuck as good as last night was..I don't know if I have the strength or energy to go a round two with that woman." [ A look of concern comes over Skylar's face. She gently reaches out leaning over to Rick and touches his forearm.] Skylar Black: "Rick...I wasn't going to say something but I have to. I heard the screaming last night. The name calling, shattering of glasses and a huge crash. You can tell me the truth.." [ She pauses ] Skylar Black : "Rick...Is Brandi abusing you?" [ Not being able to control his laughter Rick removes Skylar's hand from his arm.] Rick Young: "Brandi? You just asked me if Brandi is abusing me? Me? hahahahaha..Skylar you have no clue who you just asked that of." Skylar Black: "There's no need to be ashamed Rick. It happens to alot of men. It's really more common than you may think." Rick Young: "Trust me, Brandi is not abusing me. She got just as good as she gave last night." Skylar Black: "oh my!" Rick Young: "Don't worry about what you heard. We're both fine.." Skylar Black: "But the crash I heard.." [ Standing up laugh as he pulled out his keys for his truck Rick answers.] Rick Young: "That loud crash was the sound of our bed breaking.." Skylar Black: "You broke your bed? Is that possible? I mean neither one of you are heavy...So.." Rick Young: "Look Skylar don't worry about it....Just keep doing what you are for Mike..Ok?" [ Rick walks by her towards the front door. Meeting him at the door Skylar grabs the door knob.] Skylar Black: "I will..but Rick if you decide to change your mind and admit that your being abused..I'm here for you. There are confidential numbers that you can call." Rick Young: "If you say so..." [ Skylar opens the door and Rick exists. As Skylar closes the door she turns around and notices Mike standing there rubbing his eyes.] Mike Young: "Was that my brother?' [ he asked in a groggy voice.] Skylar Black: "Yes it was..." Mike Young: "What did he want?" Skylar Black: "To check on you. Just making sure you're ok..." Mike Young: "oh...What was that I heard you say about numbers?" Skylar Black: "It's nothing for you to worry about right now Mike. You just need to focus on yourself." Mike Young: "NO! Sky..If my brother is in trouble I have to know.." Skylar Black: "Alright..but you may want to sit for this.." [ frowning Mike sits on the arm of the couch.] Mike Young: "I'm sitting...now tell me." Skylar Black: "There's really not an easy way to say this Mike but..." Mike Young: "eh, just spit it out." Skylar Black: " Mike, I have very strong suspicions that Brandi is abusing Rick.." Mike Young: "You're fucking kidding me right?" [ Mike began to hystericaly laugh as Skylar raised her voice.] Skylar Black: "I'm not kidding and watch your language...Patience is up stairs still!" Mike Young: "yes ma'am...but baby you have no idea how funny that is?" [ Mike calms down a bit and looks at Skylar who has her arms crossed.] Skylar Black: "I don't think it's funny..Mike, I'm telling you. You should have seen the scratches on his face. And the crashing of things last night." [ A bit more calm Mike answers.] Mike Young: "Sky...My brother is the last person you should ask that to. He is the abuser not the one that would be abused. Look, between us..Rick has raped atleast three women. Last night Brandi easily could have been number four. Belive me, Rick is the last person to worry about." Skylar Black: "Rick what? shouldn't he be in jail then?" Mike Young: "Don't worry about it..really." Skylar Black: "But his face..I didn't even mention the swollen jaw, never mind the scratches." Mike Young: "Swollen jaw?" Skylar Black: "Yes...It really looked like she hit him hard." [ Once again Mike begins laughing.] Mike Young: "Oh My God...that Bitch went head on with him...Is she fucking crazy?" Skylar Black: "Michael...the language!" Mike Young: "Right...right...I can't wait to talk to Rick..This ought to be good." Skylar Black: "I'm confused..but now that you are up. Can I make you something to eat?" Mike Young: "Actually a bowl of soup would be nice with a sandwhich." Skylar Black: "It appears you may have gotten your appetite back." Mike Young: "could be..." Skylar Black: "I'm so glad Mike.." [ Smiling at him, Skylar walks by Mike and softly touches his face. As she walks a bit past him, he reaches out taking her hand and pulling her back.] Mike Young: "Sky..I just wanted to say thank you.." Skylar Black: "for what?" Mike Young: "Staying with me last night. I wasn't exactly at my best. You held my hair back and put a warm face cloth across the back of neck. Thanks.." Skylar Black: "I just want to see you well again..I'll go make your lunch now." [ not saying anothe word Mike kisses her hand. Skylar looks adoring at him and heads into the kitchen as the scene fades to Black.] Match Talk: Things are really starting to look up in AWA. We have so many talented females that are arriving. This saturday I get to face off with Brianna Madison. In the past I have made mistake by not giving the rookie enough credit. Infact last week I'm not sure if Angela and I gave Auroa enough credit. Ofcourse by now we all know that Cyprus is more than capable of holding her own. Auroa on the other hand had to prove herself which she did. This week I'm hoping to give the fans another great showing. I want them to see that the female part of our fine roster is just as stronger if not better then our male roster. I'm looking forward to all the new challenges that await me here and getting the oppertuity to do as much as I can. Brianna, let's go out there and give our all. I may have alot on my plate right now with taking care of Mike, but I promise that I will not let you down. Come perpared girl and good luck. |
